How To Review Your Own Account! With Examples!

  • I've been wanting to make this one for awhile. I started out years ago back in 2018 doing account reviews on twitch when I realized the community needed the help. Over the years I've had many to replicate the process, not understanding that I wasn't doing it for the views but rather to help educate people. In time I ended up halting reviews altogether as they're extremely time consuming and disruptive to a normal content schedule, as well as taxing on my voice (I would frequently lose my voice after doing them for 3 days straight). Still people kept asking me to do them so I figured I would teach everyone how to review your own account!
Below I'll go through the process in somewhat exhaustive detail. Please understand too, every account and its owner are different. There sometimes is no easy solution to get an account out of a jam. Strengthenings, upcoming content, the presence of GSSR's and unit tickets can all change the advice given. So without further adieu here is my usual process:
1.) Look at the overall width of the account and its age. Does it have a lot of units for each class or only a few? How long has it been playing?
2.) Look for key support units. These units make your life much easier in the game and facilitate efficient and fun strategies that are otherwise impossible without owning your own copy. They are also usually smart to max out their skills for first.
3.) Look for hard carry units. These are your typical strong farmers and challenge units that can tide an account over until a more robust roster is able to be filled out. Welfares units especially are a quick and easy path to having a solid option leveled.
4.) Address gaps in coverage. Are there big key supports missing? Does the player not have a single target and AoE damage dealer for each of the base classes leveled up and skilled?
5.) Determine the CE situation. The presence of kaleidoscope, black grail, and good welfare 50% starting charge CEs can really make or break an account.
6.) After addressing the rest of these issues, look to the overall development of the account. Is the player leveling their units efficiently? Are they committing one of the mistakes of account progression? (Spreading embers across multiple units without finishing leveling any particular one; Grailing too early in their account's life, depriving other units of a chance to be leveled)
7.) Next look to their skills. Is the player leveling and preferably using crystalized lores on their unit's charge skills? These open up more strategies for use. Are they trying to level their unit's core damage dealing skills? These will help with damage output. Are they neglecting survival skills on units who are strong for challenge content or solos? Lastly are they paying attention to the cooldowns of their buster unit's skills for use in the koyanskaya system?
8.) Lastly look at extra curricular items such as Append skills (especially mana loading!), fous, command codes and even the class score system.
With all of these address the account is reviewed properly and knows its strengths and weaknesses.
