We're good. We can always watch the original video if we wanted to review those subtitles. What we want to see is what you really think of Band-Maid and their song. (Side note: For every Band-Maid song, you might need to watch more than once, each time concentrating on a different member, to get the full details of how technically awesome they all are. Feel free to re-watch at your own time, or even do more reviews of the same song if that pleases you. We wouldn't mind 😛)
From Japan don't mind the subtitles. Many people think Japanese lyrics are getting in the way of global hits. A song that certainly doesn't make sense to an English speaker can be difficult. However, as a Japanese, I am proud that they value the Japanese language. If you listen to their songs, you will definitely fall in love with them. I hope many will discover it. Also, the lyrics written by Kobato have a deep meaning to the current world and the positive way of life of women. This puzzle depicts how her lover, who has left her, no longer thinks of her as the most important thing, yet she still cannot give him up.
Band-Maid is the best rockband right now... I am from Germany, i did not speak japanese, but i found them round about 4 years ago and i am an huge fan now, i even learned to speak japanese a little bit because of them. My wife likes them too, not an addicted fan like me, but HEY it is something :) The leadguitarist is Kanami and she is also the main songwriter in this group. They all can play various instruments, writing the lyrics and songs, are really humble, fun and their talent is through the roof! Nice you enjoyed it, normally i just hear music in english or german, but Band-Maid is the exception. Their music is just too damn good. Greetings from Germany! Have a nice weekend
@@jamesgodwin868 Nice to hear. I watch Voice Kids too and there are indeed very talented kids. But i also like the coaches, they are not so "over the top" and really care for the children. Will be interesting to see who is winning this year, it is a tough one!
@@Slippy6582 I don't know how to watch a current season.; I just watch those posted on TH-cam. You are right the coaches are very likeable. I just wish the video's had English subtitles, though it doesn't stop me from enjoying watching. Of course,I watch the videos from other countries, but Germany's seem to have the best overall talent, right behind the UK. I am a 71 yr old music lover who watches the YT videos daily. Over the past 4 years I have really loved videos by Band Maid,a Japanese, hard rock, all female band I think they are the best I've ever heard, besides The Beatles. Anyway...thanks for responding to my comments.
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND-MAID and the latest information. Thank you for reaction BAND-MAID. (^^♪ BAND-MAID is a five-member girls rock band. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. The members have not changed. They are a hard rock band and fans consider them one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually have 20 songs and 2 hour gig. Formed in Japan in 2013, led by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato has experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo, and came up with the idea of playing cool music in her maid outfit. That's why the band was named BAND-MAID. "Thrill" was the first music video of 2014, reaching 2 million views in 2 weeks, and they escaped disbandment and decided to become a hard rock band. Also, they perform LIVE overseas and increase the number of fans. Now they write, compose and arrange all their songs. 130 original songs. And 50 music videos have been released on the official TH-cam, all of which are killer songs. ★ They will have a US tour in May and August of this year. ■ Official videos are often not blocked. ■ ■ Hard Rock : Rinne・ DICE ・Thrill ・Unleash!!!! ・Sense・Warning! ・PUZZLE ■ Cool Rock : Influencer ・Bubble ・Manners ・Nonfiction Days ・YOLO ・Different ・Blooming ■ Great Live : DOMINATION ・PLAY ・FREEDOM ・REAL EXISTENC・ CROSS ・CHOOSE ME ■ Power ballad : Wonderland ・Endless story ・Daydreaming ・About us ・Memorable ■ Acoustic : "Catharsis" Acoustic Ver. ・Sayonakidori" Acoustic Ver. ■ Instrumental : from now on ・On set ■ English lyrics : Dragon Cry ・ Don't Let Me Down (not their lyrics) ■ Japanese Style : Secret Maiko Lips ・Gioncho (April Fool's Day Gift BAND MAIKO Version)
Welcome to Band-Maid! The finest hard rock band currently on the planet! Now in their 10th year they really are all incredibly talented. They are also five absolutely lovely humans without a shred of ego. They are very versatile from Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues and Jazz they can melt your face with a 100 mile an hour sonic masterpiece to a soft ballad that will make you weep. They also do instrumentals and acoustic tracks too. There is literally no bad track from their vast 10 year catalogue. Their b-sides are other bands wishful thinking. I'm 56 from the UK, they are literally the best band I have ever heard, full stop. They are funny and fun, bringing the joy back to Rock & Roll. Check out "Domination" live version or just pick anything, you can't go wrong. See you soon Po!
"melt your face... soft ballad that will make you weep..." They do that with the **SAME SONG** on a couple of instances - Puzzle, and Sayonakidori :D :D

Band Maid is the best thing going... they can do pretty much whatever they want ... rock , ballad, autistic, punk, progressive...you can pretty much pull up any Live performance and have a winner.... FYI they are on tour in the Sates for the 10th Anniversary celebration.. if they are in your area .. get tickets and go .... you can thank me later.....and for your next reaction I would choose the Manners / Black Hole performance or if you want to see Band Maid doing Band Maid things.. the Freedom Live video pretty much covers that ....
Autistic rock is my favorite.😝 I agree. Their diversity is unparalleled in other modern bands. They have to be compared with bands going back to Queen or the Beatles to find as much diversity in one band’s work.
The Band Maid back catalogue is quite a rabbit hole to go down, impressive talent all round! Funny seeing your sudden realisation of the maid outfits! XD
Welcome aboard, Becky. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 174 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (125 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: th-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/w-d-xo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): th-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/w-d-xo.html) And many songs are represented with 50 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts: ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” th-cam.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/w-d-xo.html Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” th-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/w-d-xo.html Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD. “P and D²” 30+ Photo Collage videos at www.youtube.com/@PinD2/videos And some of the better quality fan videos are excellent. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid Members: Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 29 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 32 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. Their music, their sound, each of the Maids... and the love that permeates their live events is an experience not to be missed. Hope you can catch them LIVE!
It's true, they barely give you room to breathe. The crazy thing is that they never fill their songs with boring sounds or repetitions. From the beginning to the end, there are always small and sometimes bigger details that add so much flavor to their songs. This song indeed puts the spotlight on the lovely Kanami on guitar and vocalist Saiki, who tirelessly give their best. But don't let that fool you. Every single one of these ladies is great and damn talented at what they do. The most common recommendation you'll probably get is their song 'Domination' (Live!), which proves that quite well. :) Greetings from a Maidiac out of Germany, for whom these ladies are the absolute best the rock genre has seen and heard in a very long time. ❤🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' 🎶🕊
You're quite on point with the guitarpart. This was one of the first songs where Kanami was showing her true skills. She never overdo stuff, only do what fits the song, but with such technical efficiency. Just riffing through the whole song. 10 years before this gig Miku on rythm guitar hardly had held a guitar, but she was more or less forced to learn the guitar. She has during the years and as Kanami as teacher become very good at it, making more room for the lead to fill the soundstage.
Incredibly talented musicians. Kanami has to be mentioned in the group of all time greatest when you combine her music writing skills. She writes all the music. Misa (Bass) and Akane (Drums) will blow your mind . And Miku (rythym guitar/ lyric writer) is the most adorable musical badass ever.
Best band this short century. You’ve only scratched the surface. I highly suggest Domination LIVE (not the MV) from their YT channel. This video was recorded before C19 restrictions were lifted (no cheering or shouting😢) so this is only a sample of the live experience. They’re also the happiest, most genuinely positive energy band on the planet. You will not be disappointed.
@@mr559 Yeah, thank you for the clarification. As Saiki explained, the crowd had special privilege/exemption for this set before the law was officially lifted it sounded like, so the crowd was initially very timid. I hope they do another live concert later this year once the crowds are properly back in full swing and ready to let loose again (and they actually properly have a mic pointing towards the crowd so they actually get recorded and mixed in). Or, you know, record a live show in the US this fall for online concert again like they did Pre-US Eggman. 😁
It's always so much fun witnessing the birth of a brand new Maidiac! Welcome! Believe it or not, that's just the tip of the iceberg of their musical greatness and the more you hear from them and get to know them, the more you'll love 'em. Some suggestions: Live(when they really shine!): Domination, Play, Freedom, Onset (instrumental), Real Existence, No God MV's: Blooming, From Now On, Thrill, The Non-Fiction Days, Dice, Secret My Lips, Unleash Thanks! 🤘🤩🤘
I first discovered Band Maid about 8 years ago when they released the single to Thrill and was randomly recommended to me by TH-cam. I have bought every album since, even if they are only on Jap import. Only things I tend to skip as I buy CDs is the singles and some of the more stuff like the instrumental album or live ones. They are an absolutely fantastic band that while they have a gimmick, is full of highly talented musicians. Miku only learned guitar to play it in the band as her real talent comes from song writing, but she is also a good vocalist as well. Saiki is a fantastic singer and managers to sing some really heavy songs without resorting to over agressive vocals. Akane as a drummer is phenomenal. And Misa shows what a great bassist she is as the one thing about this band is they let all the musicians get their time to shine. But Kanami is the true star of the show with her guitar work (she taught Miku to play). They work so well together and the clips I have seen of their live shows, they really know how to work a crowd, even if they are not talking in their audiences native language.
Nice reaction. Good to see your appreciation for the lead-guitarist (Kanami). As fine a guitarist as she is, she's admired for her songwriting most of all. She's the lead composer of most Band-Maid songs, which draw from every major genre. They can get quite a bit heavier and more technical than Puzzle, but also they have done acoustic shows, and have quite a few pop-rock songs where they rein themselves in, and also some songs with traditional Japanese parts, for example. That's why if you ask 100 different Band-Maid fans what their best song is, you could get 100 different answers (I'm not exaggerating). The rhythm section also gets a lot of love from professional musicians for their technical skill. The bass isn't so prominent in this song, but Misa is known both for her bass tone, and her technique of switching between using a pick and slapping/popping with fingers. If there's a bassist out there who does that transition more smoothly than her, then I haven't come across them. Great to hear you'll react to more. Domination (live) is a popular choice, but really, choose anything on their channel. It's all good.
You would be hard pressed to find 5 musicians of this caliber than these women here. Not only can the bring the rock (as evidenced here) but they can present a ballad that will hit you right in the feels and make you beg for more. Their versatility is what truly sets them apart from their peers. Japan is an embarrassment of riches where virtuoso players are concerned, but few have the versatility that these women bring on a nightly basis. I'm counting the days until I get to finally see them in person this August!
You'll find that Band-Maid fans (The Maidiacs) are fanatically devoted to them. This latest live serving of 'Puzzle' is at least the fourth different live video I've seen and it is very good. It's very similar to the original studio version on their 2017 'Just Bring It" album, but Maidiacs will tell you that Band-Maid just gets better with each performance. Band-Maid must love this song: they have performed many different arrangements of 'Puzzle' and they bring something different to it each time. After hearing this version, that starts like an atomic bomb drop and then turns the amps past eleven, you might find one of their acoustic performances 'Puzzle' equally satisfying. The performance where Saiki and Kanami present it as a duet is a heartbreaker.
As musicians, Band Maid are up there with the very best. They have been together as a band and are celebrating 10 years together. Not often one can say about a concert that it is unique. Band Maid are simply unique and fun and talented. Miku the rhythm guitarist worked in a Maid Cafe and always wanted to have a band that played hard music but looked cute and the gap between music and what they looked like would always leave those that didn't know then with their mouths open in shock.
His Sacred Holiness, TinyHat-san welcomes you to the Unseen World that is BAND-MAID, on the road to World Domination. At this point in time, they are the best live rock band on the planet.
Miku says she loves the expression of surprise when they play their first notes. Like a lot of their songs, it may sound upbeat but the lyrics are about an impossible relationship. The first few lines are _Your first "hello", the sound of a puzzle piece falling into place. I'm sure you don't recall. That's fine with me._ But he doesn't want his wife to find out and it's not fine with her. Go and explore their catalog, and someday you'll run across this same song as a duet with acoustic guitar and voice. It is the same words, chords, and notes, but a completely different song.
The best rock band in the world right now! You can't go wrong with them. If you want more fast I recommend No God, Different, Play, Black Hole. The their less than break neck speed ones are fantastic too.
Welcome to the fandom! ♥ these girls! I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live from 2021) & Warning (live) I will be seeing them in person again next Sunday i Houston! Can't wait!
Before 2021 I would have thought DB was hallucinating. NO ONE could be THAT good...Oh yes...they truly are that good !! They are the best drug/vitamin/hallucinogen /homeopathic/intensive therapy , etc, etc you will ever hear or see perform ! They are not just a band, they are truly a... revelation ! They are ( as far as I know ) human...Humans can always disappoint...It seems they haven't figured that part out yet ! Thank you Mr Boyd !
That would be kanami alias princess alias minchozilla you have just entered the maid zone they are like nothing you've ever seen before they are 5he living legends known as band maid and you're journey has just begun
To sum it up: The lead guitarist is amazing. The drummer is amazing. The bassist is amazing. The lead singer is amazing. The backup singer and backup guitarist and band founder is amazing.

They like watching reaction videos so you should be fine having the full video on screen, just make sure it's from the official uploads. Mr. Rock & Roll is another reaction channel. He got a lot of cheers from the band when they noticed him at a show last year.
If you like Band-Maid, you should check out Wagakki Band. Senbonsakura and Hagane are both fantastic songs for introducing the band. There's a really good performance of Hagane with Homura (an instrumental bit they only play live but have never recorded for an album) from their first US tour, and also a live version of Senbonsakura with guest vocals from Amy Lee.
I like the 2017 live Senbonzakura. It's a bit sloppier musically, but the crowd engagement/interaction is awesome. :) I also recommend the 2018 Hangeki no Yaiba as a showcase for the complete Wagakki Band experience -the singing, the playing, the swords and fan dancing... musical theater! :D
Great to see your reation. Band Maid is a fantastic band. And they have so many different songs in different styles. 😀 So funny that you did not get the connection between the maid outfits and the bandname at first😄👍
Awww! you were doing so good, I was so proud of you! I thought you were going to make it through the entire MV without mentioning their Battle Gear ( Maid Outfits) or anime, which most 1st time Reactors get into in the first 10-20 seconds. Still though you might hold the record for holding out the longest. Fun reaction none the less, Welcome to Band-Maid!
The band just recently reposted a live video of this song, which is just about their best outing. For contrast there's a very still, quiet acoustic version of this floating around too. Re: the maid outfits. BINGO. :D Miku (rhythm guitarist/backup vocals) was working in a maid cafe and had the thought how cool/funny it would be to have a bunch of cute maids playing brain-melting hard rock, and set out to form Band Maid. I'd have to say she's pulled it off. More for you: th-cam.com/video/mVrN-j_Uc0U/w-d-xo.html (Onset) th-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/w-d-xo.html (Real Existence) th-cam.com/video/3LxX_t4vg7U/w-d-xo.html (Play) th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html (Domination) th-cam.com/video/UE7cnxjUfgI/w-d-xo.html (Sayonakidori live electric) th-cam.com/video/sGzAQigaL14/w-d-xo.html (Sayonakidori acoustic trio studio treatment) And I have to point you to my favorite dish in the smorgasbord of Japanese rock, Wagakki Band: th-cam.com/video/bVZiM2vEVsM/w-d-xo.html (Homura + Akatsuki no Ito) th-cam.com/video/BgJnyblunrE/w-d-xo.html (Hangeki no Yaiba) th-cam.com/video/wRaP6TmKTQE/w-d-xo.html (Senbonzakura) Oh, and footnote: You've gotta react to Kansas at some point. They've been at it for fifty YEARS, so they must be doing SOMETHING right :D Everyone does Carry On Wayward Son and Dust in The Wind, so skip those and look at oh, Journey from Mariabronn, The Voyage of Eight Eighteen, or Magnum Opus :D
Oh my gosh, you have opened the floodgates. Why do you love this? Because they may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative band since the Beatles. (Yes, I stand by that statement!) You are going to get a lot of suggestions. First, a little background on the band: Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 29 years old MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 30 years old Kanami Tono - Lead guitar, Main composer and arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 31 years old Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 31 years old Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 32 years old Miku was working in a Maid Café after being in an idol group that didn’t break through. She envisoned the idea of a maid-band that plays hard rock and metal. She recruited Kanami, after finding a Kanami guitar cover on line; Kanami then recruited Akane, who recruited MISA. Akane and MISA had been students together at the Tokyo Music Academy. The group decided they needed more vocal “oomph”, and collectively recruited Saiki. Miku didn't know how to play guitar when they started, so Kanami has been teaching her. She's become good so fast that she is really adding to the music mix, and Maidiacs are daring to dream of a dual shred. The band was struggling early on, and in 2014, even as the label was considering dropping them, they posted a music video, “Thrill” which went viral globally. When they realized what was going on, it gave them the momentum to forge ahead, and they have now done multiple tours of Europe and the U.S. and are building a global fanbase who call themselves the Maidiacs. They have released seven full albums, as well as several EPs, singles and music videos. They have put out around 160 songs, covering a wide variety of styles and sounds, without any duds. They combine a punk vibe with instrumental virtuosity (two things that are often seen as being incompatible), and have done some amazing progressive-rock songs with a metal edge to them. They toured the U.S. in 2022 and sold out 14 cities in less than 48 hours. Their fan base skews heavily to actual practicing musicians. Some of those followed the band to multiple dates and documented everything on youtube-some of the footage is hilarious. I’ve seen them twice (2019 and 2022) and their shows are truly life-reaffirming. They are touring the U.S. twice more in 2023; So far no announcements of another European tour but it seems likely in 2024. Band-Maid are that rare band that sound perfect live, even better than in the studio. It's hilarious, it's insightful, you will learn their names for good, and their cuteness will destroy your brain. Oh, and they are completely nuts. th-cam.com/video/R4PofsQYwn4/w-d-xo.html
This is actually almost 'medium pace' compared to some of their songs, particularly their more recent songs. I discovered Band-Maid almost exactly four years ago, and I'm a big fan, but regarding making song recommendations, I usually champion much smaller bands from over there that I think deserve attention too. One example would be The Tomboys, who produced this terrific song, "Wake Up", with a kind of classic rock sound. th-cam.com/video/h0kc5KMcoyg/w-d-xo.html
Oh definitely a rabbit hole you wanna go down. But you might not make it back the same way. Maybe try the official live video for "Domination" on their channel?
Nice reaction, your only mistake is thinking that this song is fast paced. You never know what you will get from Band-Maid except that it will be amazing. For a nice contrast from them I recommend their live video of “Manners/Black Hole”. Enjoy and cheers from West Texas!😎🤘🏻
So true. If you expect to know what sort of thing you will hear, you’re likely to be disappointed. If your only expectation is that it will be the best thing you hear all day, you’ll never be let down.😊
Hello, next one to react to : Dice MV or Blooming MV or Unleash!!!!! MV or Daydreaming MV Or Freedom (Live) Domination (Live) Dice & Different (Live) Manners & Black Hole (Live)
WHENEVER YOU REACT TO JAPANESE BANDS IT IS VERY GOOD TO BE ABLE TO GET THE ENGLISH SUBTITLES. FOR PEOPLE THAT DON'T WANT THEM THEY CAN IGNORE THEM. IT IS VERY FUN TO EXPERIENCE BAND-MAID SONGS SEVERAL TIMES TO ABSORB MORE AND MORE OF THE COMPLEXITIES. THE LYRICS ARE USUALLY UPBEAT AND EMPOWERING. CHAINSAW MAN IS COOL AND I LOVE "ONE PUNCH MAN" TOO. MY FAVORITE FEMALE SUPERHEROES ARE BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES AND NEMOPHILA. ANIME REACTORS ARE HUGE BUT THEY HAVE TO FIND CREATIVE PARTIAL VIDEO BLOCKS AND SCREENS TO AVOID COPYRIGHT BLOCKS.
Thank you for taking time to review Band-Maid! This song has quite powerful lyrics and the slow, acoustic version is a tear jerker Recommendations will be aplenty from the Maidiacs Band-Maid has the unique ability to do multiple genres while still maintaining their signature sound and energy. Here are some to consider, depending upon what you like: If you like straight ahead rock, “Dice,” official video If you like more metal, “Moratorium,” official LIVE at Zepp 2018 If you want to hear the Maids do a pop rock ballad? “Daydreaming,” official video If you’re curious about heavy metal instrumentals? “From Now On,” official video If you’re into power pop rock with crowd interactions? “Domination,” official LIVE video
It will tough finding a better live performance band! Their studio stuff is good too (sometimes poor quality unfortunately) but their live stuff just has so much more energy and they perform flawlessly! If you want more of their music I would recommend anything! Harder to find a miss from them then an amazing song!
The maid costumes are to create "the Gap" meaning the difference in what you are seeing "demure" maids vs what you are hearing Hard Rock music. They refer to their costumes as their "Battle Armor"!! There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan. About half are all female. A few: Nemophila - "Seize the Fate" Lovebites - "Set the World on Fire" Unlucky Morpheus - "Black Pentagram" Have FUN!!!
@@outwest1014 Wow! That's rather like the lineup shifts Kansas has gone thru over the years. There've been a dozen different people in the band at one point or another, and they're still soldiering on 50 years in. :D
Kanami is wonderful, a prodigy, Miku is a learner and easily replaceable. If Miku hadn't been so lucky to run into Kanami, Misa, and Akane, she'd be modeling in a Japanese teen magazine or working at a Maid Cafe.
Great song but nowhere near their best. I just got the DVD of this concert in the mail yesterday and have already watched it 3 times. It's such an awesome show.

Young lady, good reaction, but you should dig deeper into Band-Maid's discography, they simply cannot make a bad song. Some say Band-Maid does not belong to a musical genre, they are a genre on their own. I'm an older rocker dude, and I have never come across a band that has enthralled me as these ladies do.
THE best Rock band in existence.
Indubitably, po!
There is no better!
I hate hyperbole but, for the life of me, I can't find any flaws in your statement.
@@chrisegbertky Facts, even subjectively true ones, are facts.
Hey all, apologises that I chopped out the subtitles in the video! I didn’t realise until after editing 💜
Beware. The Band-Maid rabbit hole is one you may not return from the same way you went in. 👍
No worries, most of us know the songs.😂 Keep listening to them. It only gets better. Try Domination LIVE next.
The most awesome rock band in the world 🌎🌍. They can rip your face or make you cry. Mostly though they'll just make you grin from ear to ear 😁
Stay with them 3M Band-Maid NEVER disappoints........ever
Nice to see a comment from Germany; I'm in the USA. As a side note,I have become hooked on The Voice Kids-Germany. The kids are very talented.
Nice to meet you, thank you for commenting 🥰

From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND-MAID and the latest information. Thank you for reaction BAND-MAID. (^^♪
BAND-MAID is a five-member girls rock band.

Millennial Maids - Yes, maid outfits = the Awesome BAND-MAID who provides all the Rock and variations of Rock you may ever need. Peace. 7.74
Thank you so much 🥰🥰
Band Maid is the best thing going... they can do pretty much whatever they want ... rock , ballad, autistic, punk, progressive...you can pretty much pull up any Live performance and have a winner....
Autistic rock is my favorite.😝
I agree.
XD
😅
They never dissapoint, its that simple
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits like Sense, Glory and Unleash (from their own Anime MV (series?)): th-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/w-d-xo.html)
And many songs are represented with 50 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts:

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies.

Love the Maids !! 😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘 I saw them last Oct & I'm going to see them in August. It's one of the best live shows I've ever been to !!
Greetings from a Maidiac out of Germany, for whom these ladies are the absolute best the rock genre has seen and heard in a very long time. ❤🔥🤘🏻

You won't find a more talented group of musicians than these ladies. They are amazing
Thanks Mx3! Welcome to Band-Maid!
Halfway through the show they were actually surprised that they were allowed to cheer and shout. That's when they started to really hype up the crowd.
Some suggestions: Live(when they really shine!): Domination, Play, Freedom, Onset (instrumental), Real Existence, No God
MV's: Blooming, From Now On, Thrill, The Non-Fiction Days, Dice, Secret My Lips, Unleash
Thanks!
Thank you 😊
You would be hard pressed to find 5 musicians of this caliber than these women here.
Welcome to BAND MAID!!
🤘😀🤘
Yes, you're definitely on to a winner!
Awww the tiny little hats. I **miss** the tiny little hats! :D
The more you know them the fun it get,
The best rock band in the world right now! You can't go wrong with them. If you want more fast I recommend No God, Different, Play, Black Hole. The their less than break neck speed ones are fantastic too.
Welcome to the fandom! ♥ these girls! I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live from 2021) & Warning (live)
I will be seeing them in person again next Sunday i Houston! Can't wait!
Lead guitar and composer Kanami's guitar playing is superb, very high work rate and the solo is amazing.
YOu really need to see them to understand all of the things that are going on musically. The arrangements are staggering
Welcome to the Maidiacs world ... Hope you a wonderfull journey throught their marvelous music catalog ...
Yes, in this song, Kanami, the lead guitarist, do shine. The rest makes a lovely background noise. This is a different song by them.
Best band in the world 🤘🎎🤘🎎
Now this is the Band-Maid I love
To sum it up:
The lead guitarist is amazing.
The drummer is amazing.
The bassist is amazing.
The lead singer is amazing.
The backup singer and backup guitarist and band founder is amazing.

You will come to realise that a lot of fans like the quiet, enigmatic charactors- in this case its Misa, the bass player the Bearfoot Assassin. She is a real fave of the fans- Misa, Misa, Misa!
BEAR FOOT? 😂😂😂 I would not say that to her face, if I were you!
Oh boy m'dear. You are just about to go and fall down the "pigeon hole" Not rabbit, pigeon and you will learn why very soon. Great job ;)

Yes, yes!! I can't wait!!! 😍🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥
They like watching reaction videos so you should be fine having the full video on screen, just make sure it's from the official uploads. Mr. Rock & Roll is another reaction channel. He got a lot of cheers from the band when they noticed him at a show last year.
Great song to start stepping into the pigeon hole that is BAND-MAID 🙂
If you like Band-Maid, you should check out Wagakki Band. Senbonsakura and Hagane are both fantastic songs for introducing the band. There's a really good performance of Hagane with Homura (an instrumental bit they only play live but have never recorded for an album) from their first US tour, and also a live version of Senbonsakura with guest vocals from Amy Lee.
I like the 2017 live Senbonzakura. It's a bit sloppier musically, but the crowd engagement/interaction is awesome. :)
I also recommend the 2018 Hangeki no Yaiba as a showcase for the complete Wagakki Band experience -the singing, the playing, the swords and fan dancing... musical theater! :D
Hi Millennial, welcome to the world of Band-Maid.
Good to have you with us on this journey !
Thank you 😊
You should also check out the acoustic version of 'Puzzle' LIVE.
Great to see your reation. Band Maid is a fantastic band. And they have so many different songs in different styles. 😀 So funny that you did not get the connection between the maid outfits and the bandname at first😄👍
Great reaction! Glad to see you were entranced by their music without being distracted by their outfits 😊
More BAND-MAID please PO!
Awww! you were doing so good, I was so proud of you!
Ha! Thank you 😊
Thanks for reacting to the greatest rock band in the world!!

Oh, and footnote: You've gotta react to Kansas at some point. They've been at it for fifty YEARS, so they must be doing SOMETHING right :D Everyone does Carry On Wayward Son and Dust in The Wind, so skip those and look at oh, Journey from Mariabronn, The Voyage of Eight Eighteen, or Magnum Opus :D
check out the song called No god from BM, it is awesome
Oh my gosh, you have opened the floodgates. Why do you love this? Because they may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative band since the Beatles. (Yes, I stand by that statement!)
You are going to get a lot of suggestions. First, a little background on the band:
Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 29 years old
MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 30 years old
Kanami Tono - Lead guitar, Main composer and arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 31 years old
Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 31 years old
Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 32 years old
Miku was working in a Maid Café after being in an idol group that didn’t break through.
Here are more links:

And an official MV, one of their most popular: Daydreaming (it’s a slower ballad, gorgeous and truly heart-wrenching): th-cam.com/video/RCaeUkrItyY/w-d-xo.html
If you want more background, I suggest you react to this classic interview.
Welcome to the Maidiacs, Becky. I hope you continue down this pigeon hole. (you'll get it eventually if you do)
Cheers from Norway.
Thank you 😊
Oh definitely a rabbit hole you wanna go down.
If your only expectation is that it will be the best thing you hear all day, you’ll never be let down.😊
Nice to meet you 😊
patiently waiting..........:)
Hello, next one to react to : Dice MV or Blooming MV or Unleash!!!!! MV or Daydreaming MV
Or Freedom (Live) Domination (Live) Dice & Different (Live) Manners & Black Hole (Live)
Band maid is a super live band 🎸🤘
Thank you for taking time to review Band-Maid!
This song has quite powerful lyrics and the slow, acoustic version is a tear jerker
Recommendations will be aplenty from the Maidiacs
Band-Maid has the unique ability to do multiple genres while still maintaining their signature sound and energy.
Here are some to consider, depending upon what you like:
If you like straight ahead rock, “Dice,” official video
If you like more metal, “Moratorium,” official LIVE at Zepp 2018
If you want to hear the Maids do a pop rock ballad? “Daydreaming,” official video
If you’re curious about heavy metal instrumentals? “From Now On,” official video
If you’re into power pop rock with crowd interactions? “Domination,” official LIVE video
Yeah, the acoustic version is a lament. This version is an *indictment* .
A few:
Nemophila - "Seize the Fate"
Lovebites - "Set the World on Fire"
Unlucky Morpheus - "Black Pentagram"
Have FUN!!!
I keep thinking back to Destrose and what I call Marina's Weapons-grade Vibrato™ :D
@@mrz80 Miho, bass and Haruna, drums of Lovebites were in Destrose.
@@outwest1014 Yep! That's how I found Lovebites, looking for where everyone went after Destrose
@@mrz80 11 women went through Destrose over the years. One famous one is Saki of Nemophila, and formally of Mary's Blood.
@@outwest1014 Wow! That's rather like the lineup shifts Kansas has gone thru over the years. There've been a dozen different people in the band at one point or another, and they're still soldiering on 50 years in. :D
Thanks!
Oh wow, thank you again Wayne for the $2 I really do appreciate it! 🥹🥹
Hope life is treating you well 💜
Kanami is wonderful, a prodigy, Miku is a learner and easily replaceable. If Miku hadn't been so lucky to run into Kanami, Misa, and Akane, she'd be modeling in a Japanese teen magazine or working at a Maid Cafe.
@MessageMillennial_Meets_Music 😆😆😆, It's true, Miku didn't even know how to play the guitar, Kanami taught her.
That's a little harsh, as it *is* Miku's band after all. Her idea, and she brought 'em all together.
try Maximum the Hormone, great japanese Band
Thrill Daydreaming Onslaught in that order next please...gg
❤❤❤
🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀
Miku needs Marshal amps. Here EVH gets lost in the mix. I saw them live with her on a Marshall. The sound was….!
Great song but nowhere near their best. I just got the DVD of this concert in the mail yesterday and have already watched it 3 times. It's such an awesome show.
😁🥰
❤Miku❤❤Kanami❤❤Misa❤❤Akane❤❤Saiki❤
Love watching people lose their BAND-MAID cherry.... !!!

It's weird that females makes up most of the metal in Japan. Just an observation.☮
Thank you 😊
Baby Metal is for little children.
