Usually I never comment TH-cam videos... I accidentaly clicked "Delete Volume" on the wrong disk! Disk management was showing "Unallocated" and the drive disappeared from "This PC"... All the personal data, photos for the last 10 years, work related files etc... Thrills went through my body when I noticed I made such a stupid mistake! Watched this video, started downloading the newest version (January 2023) of MiniTool Partition Wizard (ver 10)... It asked to buy a licence... I downloaded the one mentioned in the video, Free ver 9.0... Followed the steps and.... YES! Success... I got everything back! You saved my life! Thank you very very much!
5:33 The latest version of the tool NO LONGER RECOVERS YOUR PARTITIONS with the free version. You have to pay to upgrade to the pro version for it to do it.
The installer also tries to get you to install Winzip and Opera. Makes it look like you need to agree to continue with the software. Just click DECLINE (don't agree). Read before clicking through everything.
Is there an other possible way to do it?

For anyone else outhere, this really worked but: you have to get Minitool 9.1 Ver or below becasse after ver 10 the partition recovery wizard isn't on the free version anymore.

I accidentally turned my 1TB external hard drive to a bootable media when I downloaded Windows media creation tool to it. It has almost 20 years of priceless family videos and photos on it. Now, no matter what I scan it with for partition recovery, it says "no recoverable lost partitions found". I tried Partition Wizard which is now called minitool, plus various other partition recovery tools. I have already tried, and do not want to try again, data recovery as it finds millions of individual files and there are no organisational system. I need the folder structure back. What can I do?

If you wipe your data using tools. So it may be a rare chance to recover. But you can try a free demo of the Stellar Data Recovery Professional. If you find your data in preview so you can recover it. Because I have used this program. But in my case data is deleted not wipe by any software. So I am not sure.

Diskpart shows a partition for my hard drive, but disk management lists it as Raw. I can't access any data on the hard drive as it's in Raw format. Will this tool be able to recover this corrupt partition if it's due to bad sectors where the partition is stored?
Also, will this tool be able to recover the files that weren't marked as deleted? As in, I don't want the ones that were deleted, just the ones that were active before the partition became corrupt.. also, will it grab the folder structure too? Thanks.

Hey when I connected my portable hard disk to my phone, the drive was formatted but i quickly unplugged it. I've a folder called Lost.DIR. If i carry out the same concept as the video will I be able to recover the data? 600gb worth data..

Great Tutorial & tool. I have not tried it yet, but will try it out soon on my corrupt hard drive. Do you know any such tools that are Linux-based? I have tried to recover data from a corrupt C drive (200GB) using Photorec, Qphotorec & Testdisk. Ran them over several days, but ended up getting ' 0 ' data out of the corrupt partition that I know has a lot of data in it. Does photorec & testdisk really work? If so, would you kind enough to make a tutorial on them? Also, can you suggest me some good Linux-based partition recovery tools? Thank you very, very much for your teachings. I have learned so much. :- )

I have a question. My external HD has over 1.9 billion sectors, is moving super slow and from the looks of it... might take days to complete. How long did it take your quick scan to complete?
Is it true that the longer that unallocated partition drive sits around doing nothing, chances are most files in the drive are gone?

yeah that is the problem with free data recovery software.
Can you recover different data in blocks of 1 GB?
Need to recover data from a computer that has a messed around partition which doesn't allow you to even boot up to the desktop? Which is a far worse situation. Figured your video would present a solution for this problem, but it doesn't sadly! It stick you at the bios. Only way to approach the problem is to boot up from the CD-ROM and use the OS program disc!
greetings - I think I accidentally deleted my hard drive when I re-installed my windows 7 because I selected " install windows in one drive" or something to that effect..the burning question is can i 1) recover and regain the d drive and all its contents. I woke up today to discover my desktop refused to boot, after trying to start windows in safe mode for hours, i opted to reinstall windows 7 ..that's the story basically. Brgds
I got that same exact program (MiniTool Wizard Free) and did the sacn but when I clicked "Apply", a pop up window came up asking me to upgrade to a paid version to complete the task! How come that didn't happen on this video????

Bdother! I have also clean my system memory portion of my hard disk. I have important data in my Hard disk. Now, I cannot install any windows “operation system not found”. My laptop is Dell Inspiron N4110. Now, Shall I have to replace my laptop’s hard derive? 😓
Windows converted my drive from ntfs to raw and the only option is to recover the data (which is there as I checked) or format the raw partition and lose all data but this wizard cannot recover the ntfs partition as the partition was just converted to raw so I think it just sees it as one same partition regardless of change.
I know this is old now but have a 4TG nearly full external drive that has suddenly become multiple drives that I cannot access. would this work for that to recover the data?
run the minitool, delete the partitions then recover them as it SHOULD be one big partition

I used the stupid Minitool to "Merge" two partitions so I could combine the free space to install Windows 10. Well the stupid Minitool did the whole thing and rebooted and had to work pre-boot to finish, and when it finished it had collapsed the two partitions but did not incorporate the files. So now I am trying to figure out if I should delete this new partition and try to recover the files from RAW data, or figure out what the heck happened during the merge to only partially work. I have been using Minitool for well over 10 years and never had this happen. Do you know if it works funky with SSD drives verses platter drives?

How would I do it if I lost the partition that windows was installed on? I tried doing my own things like downloading partition wizard on a different device and put it on a USB Stick to then plug in to my computer that lost the partition, but have no idea what's next, I'm stuck on this message 'Boot Device not found', somewhere sounding like that. iSynced_ you have to install some form of operating system so that you can run a application,hence try to get hold of a iso of windows(internet), get hold of a friends computer to burn the iso file into a usb drive and then boot your pc with it,once installation is done,you can run your favourite data recovery application

Hi. I need help, once it done scanning it shows all the partitions (LOST/DELETED and EXISTING) but the problem is it won't let me select them all. If I select the lost/deleted ones it will say OVERLAPPED on the existing one, again if I select the existing it says overlapped on the lost/deleted. what should I do?

Everytime I add a new hdd to my computer (they have data and partitions on them) they are read as raid 0 and windows forces me to format them...
My problem is my nephew formatted my hard drive because I was having problems with windows 10. I don't have an operating system disc. Windows 10 came with the computer. I have Windows 8 on my external hard drive. When I put it in the usb slots, when I restart my computer, it states that I have no operating system. It won't read to external hard drive. So, do you think this program would even work for my issue or is there a way to fix this problem without any software help?
