100% keep it. You have those "museum" displays that you want to rotate around and I personally think that a COMPLETE NINTENDO POWER COLLECTION would look sweet to just see!
Preservation is key to keeping the nostalgia alive Rick! Nintendo Power collections that clean only come once, they are harder and harder to find complete these days.
11:08 oh man, that Secret of Mana soundtrack playing in the background. I would love to take a trip down memory lane, in that store, with that score playing
I wonder if Rick ever thought about opening up a retro arcade with maybe a pool hall and served pizza and burgers and host fighting game tournaments. No booze to keep it family friendly and a wider audience
Would be neat, but would still want to sit down and read through them all again. Good Memories! Didn't the first copy of NP with new subscription come with a copy of Dragon Warrior, thought I recall getting that game then.
I’m trying to find an old super Mario world strategy guide magazine that I got years ago in a grocery store and it wasn’t Nintendo power or Game Pro. It had a grey border around the front of the magazine and was $29.99 back then. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction on where to maybe find a copy? I’ve been searching for months now!! Thanks in advance!! Oh it was for the SNES Mario World
Glad you picked up this set fair price for both of you. I would sell them. You have the customers for it. Bagged and boarded complete in a retail store you could get $15-$20 for even the common issues.
You need to keep them! Archive them for future generations ❤ Someone else mentioned digitally archiving. I agree 100%. Could you imagine a long video playing in the store on a loop of every magazine page 😮 Or at least a "Best Of" pages looping. 😊
It seems like it is a well kept quality collection. 1st you should get it insured, then send them off to be scanned. After that you can make commission off of lending them out for display at other stores. Which will also allow for on loan for display purposes from retro ricks game point to be featured in other shops to help with advertising.
one of the things that baffle me about the reseller market are like SNES or Genesis games that were common as heck, **no one** cared about them, games pretty much ignored after they first came out, and now they go for $150~$250+
Awesome collection, I would keep it as another museum piece, walk into like a golf ball type room with all Nintendo Powers postered up around the whole thing inside so people can see it through all the ages. Or create a little maze with Nintendo powers through the ages to showcase them and the history!
I think that would like nice in the store something everyone feels Nostalgia after seeing them it’s a perfect display can build something on the wall or to just have them in the case with more classic stuff from that time
It's probably the WORST suggestion you're likely to catch for what to do with the full Nintendo Power, but - a rotating in-store feature where people can take a minute and read through old magazines. I understand that this will inevitably cause damage to the items which is of the utmost fear to collectors, but as a store which also has some museum functions, it'd be a pretty special feature.
I had a subscription to Nintendo Power for years going up. From issue 1 for probably 6-7 years. I imagine my old man tossed them a few years after I moved out. Sometimes I dig around in mom’s attic in the hopes they’re stashed there. I have 40+ consoles in my collection, but this is the thing I wished had survived. Impossible to replace
Every time i watch i see stuff i want around the shop. Do you do postal orders? just thinking if you where to do a video walkthrough of your shelf stock say 20 mins we could watch, pause etc see if there was stuff wanted. You would get increased footfall and loads of post orders.
I had a beautiful copy of dragon view cib but sold it years ago. Just recently limited run remade it for SNES I picked that up pretty stoked to have another "copy"
ohhhhh...if only Xenosaga III was in that box! I have the Xenosaga III that came with that cool holographic art thing along with I and II. Swapped them into brand new PS2 cases from sealed $5 PS2 game and two sealed copies of GOW2 for the ones with two discs. Box them up in a acid free plastic protector and display them. Going to put them in those acrylic protector from Kollector Protector and is golden! All disc and manual MINT and PROUD!
3:29 Omg! I remember me and my buddy playing that back in like 1995! For the life of me I COULD never think of the name!! Thank you so much man! 11:10 Also isn't the music playing from Secret of Mana???
Keep them!! I’m still collecting the official Nintendo UK ones. Still have a bunch from when I was in my teens so they’re quite special. I have a full year for 1998 during N64 days and most of 1999. I’m aiming for 1997 issues now 😁
I would love a Nintendo Power set at least up to the Nintendo 64 era. Honestly, I'd keep them all. There are some great memories in there which in my opinion is what it's all about.
I’d keep it and use the ones u already have in your personal collection to upgrade some of those. And sell the ones that you have doubles of etc. Display these in your game room. We also need an update before and after since you now own a store of how the game room has been impacted
everyone always missed the 95 on the front cover glows in the dark❤ now i know roughly what my complete set with variants would be worth cash. cheeeeap buy rick congrats
In the position of life that you're in? Keep em! They certainly will not hurt anything being in your collection. I have a soft spot for the EGM magazines, I used to look through the same issues over and over as a kid fantasizing about when I'd finally get a PS1 :P
I been collecting powers for about a year now. All started at a yard sale. They have 1-87. Asking 5 cents a peace. (: now I’m hooked. I got about 158 now. (: can’t wait to get the whole set for display. If any one in Washington state I got about 65 extra for trade or sell.
If you don’t sell it, our wife will kill us
Keep it!
Keep it!! Magazines like that are never going to come back
6:44 sums it up perfectly. sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
Sell it! Those mags are nostalgia in book form! They were meant to be enjoyed and you know it!
One of the MANY reasons I'm single... so lonely lol
Hey that’s me! Thanks for the deal.
Definitely me.
Post a video don’t be lazy
Hey, it’s a me, Mario!!!
@@speedtriprr537 I will do my best
It's me really.
100% keep it. You have those "museum" displays that you want to rotate around and I personally think that a COMPLETE NINTENDO POWER COLLECTION would look sweet to just see!
Its nice to see that people continue to buy old games and your store is doing well.
Dont let it die.
Preservation is key to keeping the nostalgia alive Rick! Nintendo Power collections that clean only come once, they are harder and harder to find complete these days.
You gotta keep them Rick!! They’re all there and complete.
Gotta keep them man! A complete Nintendo Power set and a Complete NES set (soon) That's a big flex man!!!
why do I love watching these videos and Chase After The Right Price so much
One of the best u tuber's out right now! Excited to be subscribed to this channel.
Keep them together!! Someone will watch this and want the whole collection.
11:08 oh man, that Secret of Mana soundtrack playing in the background. I would love to take a trip down memory lane, in that store, with that score playing
My 2 cents - It must be kept as a complete set. Any buyer must swear a pinky oath to keep it intact!
Plok! is an amazing game, so many great memories. And the soundtrack is ICONIC
It was such a fun day riding down there with Tony and meeting you and seeing this amazing store ! Happy new years Rick
I love the daily uploads! 💓
Best gaming YT channel ever!
Keep it how often do you come across a complete set. Especially with a lot of the inserts and posters intact
Your Dad owning a retro video game store must be the best thing ever
I wonder if Rick ever thought about opening up a retro arcade with maybe a pool hall and served pizza and burgers and host fighting game tournaments. No booze to keep it family friendly and a wider audience
You have too keep them, and little by little get them graded. What better then a complete Nintendo Power set, a graded complete Nintendo Power set!!!
Would be neat, but would still want to sit down and read through them all again. Good Memories!
Didn't the first copy of NP with new subscription come with a copy of Dragon Warrior, thought I recall getting that game then.
Zelda a link to the past from Super Nintendo is my favorite Zelda game of all the Zelda franchise games I need to get it in the Snes Collection
I wish i lived in America. I would visit the store. Greetings from the Netherlands
get your private jet over..

That Nintendo Power set is way too awesome for its own good! I wish I had one of my own. I think I'm a gonna start collecting them myself.
The bro weres your website to buy some games???? im having trouble finding it
Glad you picked up this set fair price for both of you. I would sell them. You have the customers for it. Bagged and boarded complete in a retail store you could get $15-$20 for even the common issues.

Where can I maybe look at getting that Starfox from you guys???
dude that nintendo power set is a GEM. HOLD ONTO THAT!!!
I can't wait for your online store to be available. I really want an SP and Pokemon Red. Not much to do on your down time on this deployment.
Am I the only one that literally LOLed when Rick said C.I.Bizzle!!!
F-Zero sound track in the back ground bring a smile in my face....
Keep it and let the value go up!
I used to play so much Phantom Dust, it was a really fun online multiplayer experience
Hey that’s me! thanks for the deal.

Holidays makes gaming a good day to hunt for deals.
one of the things that baffle me about the reseller market are like SNES or Genesis games that were common as heck, **no one** cared about them, games pretty much ignored after they first came out, and now they go for $150~$250+
3:09 What game has this tune?

Keep keep keep Rick !
does anyone know what the music is thats playing around the 9:30 point?
Great video 👍🏽
Plok is amazing!!! Super underrated, its up there with Super Mario World in my opinion. And the humor man its so funny!
Do you guys have an online store?
Every time i watch i see stuff i want around the shop. Do you do postal orders? just thinking if you where to do a video walkthrough of your shelf stock say 20 mins we could watch, pause etc see if there was stuff wanted. You would get increased footfall and loads of post orders.
Idk if that e reader works with the SP and Micro.
Keep them and make a huge in store wall display.
I had a beautiful copy of dragon view cib but sold it years ago. Just recently limited run remade it for SNES I picked that up pretty stoked to have another "copy"

Nick Robinson did a phantom dust minidoc thats what made it blow up and rightly so. I love his stuff personally.
Man, please don't go bankrupt with all this stuff- it'll kill my soul. Awesome video
3:29 Omg! I remember me and my buddy playing that back in like 1995! For the life of me I COULD never think of the name!! Thank you so much man! 11:10 Also isn't the music playing from Secret of Mana???
Limited Run also has a re-release of Dragon View that is really cool!
That's a clean set to keep
How much does the xenosaga trilogy go for?
Did he have the Nintendo power issue #1 sample copy variant?
Those Pokemon Project Studio boxes are cool 🔥 I have the blue one sealed sealed 😎 gotta find the red too!
Dragon view is awesome. very hard to navigate the first person world but I remember loving it.
I had no idea .hack Quarantine was worth so much. Definitely hanging onto my complete collection.
Keep them!! I’m still collecting the official Nintendo UK ones. Still have a bunch from when I was in my teens so they’re quite special. I have a full year for 1998 during N64 days and most of 1999. I’m aiming for 1997 issues now 😁

That X-Men hat is FIRE!
I would love a Nintendo Power set at least up to the Nintendo 64 era. Honestly, I'd keep them all. There are some great memories in there which in my opinion is what it's all about.
Love your content bro
Team Ricks
Love the X-Men Blockhead Hat looking fly brotha
“Get these things graded”
Proceeds to drag it across the table and scratch the back 😅
I feel sorry for Mrs Rick
I’d keep it and use the ones u already have in your personal collection to upgrade some of those. And sell the ones that you have doubles of etc. Display these in your game room. We also need an update before and after since you now own a store of how the game room has been impacted
That was definitely an amazing deal. So much awesomeness wall to wall in your store
Id like to see them all lined up to see the complete picture they make
You should keep the sets and wait until someone brought the sets for a museum because the value will increase over time.
It’s crazy to me that I used to live in arkadelphia, 15 years.
I move to Minnesota then find retro rock and then find out he is in Arkansas?!
everyone always missed the 95 on the front cover glows in the dark❤ now i know roughly what my complete set with variants would be worth cash. cheeeeap buy rick congrats
Why do you work on january 1.? In normal world thats holiday
Can’t believe Nintendo Powers go for so much! That’s amazing.
KEEP 'EM RICK!
He is aggressively handling those magazines.
While you have them, shelving them in a way to put the spine art on display would be worthy of a glass case. Decide beyond that later.
I haven't played Nintendo in 15 years and I would keep that.
I’m less than 30 issues away from a full set of NP. I love collecting them!
Everything about this video 🫡
F-zero background music was on point.
you get the best stuff its amazing a dream come true congrats to you
In the position of life that you're in? Keep em! They certainly will not hurt anything being in your collection.
I have a soft spot for the EGM magazines, I used to look through the same issues over and over as a kid fantasizing about when I'd finally get a PS1 :P
I need a Sega CD BAD! May need to stop in Arkansas soon.
Keep the Nintendo power collection
it’s part of Nintendo history
Never gonna find them in that kind of quality again
Gotta keep it. I have about 100 of them I wish I could get the whole set.
You need to put the original side art back on that Playchoice.
When I heard "Twoson", I instantly achieved inner peace.
Might as well keep it unless you need the money. I feel like the value will only go up over time
I feel a Whatnot Nintendo Power stream coming.
That hat is SICK dude!!!
Damn it's my dream to have a complete Nintendo power set I missed out on them
You can’t keep them when you’re about the hunt. To easy when it arrives at your doorstep!😂
I would scan the front of the entire set and make a giant banner to display!🔥🤘🏼
I been collecting powers for about a year now. All started at a yard sale. They have 1-87. Asking 5 cents a peace. (: now I’m hooked. I got about 158 now. (: can’t wait to get the whole set for display. If any one in Washington state I got about 65 extra for trade or sell.
She's wearing my Pikachu hoody. Bought it at Walmart about 8 years ago. Lost it for a year. Found it last week :)
