IDEA: You mentioned getting the AC ducts decorated like the Mario pipes.... how about painting the metal beams light red like in OG Donkey Kong? You can even have teal ladders and 8-bit flames / barrels / hammer dotted here and there along the ceiling.
I think my first lunchbox was a metal Ronald McDonald lunchbox with the thermos. Then I had a plastic Snorks lunchbox. I think those two lunchboxes got me through elementary school, and then switched over to just the paper lunch bags in Jr. High.

That Darkwing Duck game is totally awesome. You know, I cannot believe Nintendo never made further games for Darkwing, Rescue Rangers, or Ducktales. I know Ducktales had a remaster a couple gens ago, but still. The fact that none of those games got sequels on the N64, Gamecube, Wii, or Switch just boggles the mind. The guy who traded in all of those handhelds had great tastes. That purple color Gameboy was the same color I owned and played on. It really throws me back to my early gaming years.
Biggest issue with dk oldies is the consoles. They want top dollar, which ok if its truly refurbished. But then to not even give original controllers without extra charge is crazy to me. I have gotten a few games with no issues however.
Those Gameboy boxes are convincing me that time travelers exist. Those games must have been played once and kept in a cleanroom for decades. They look like they just came from the production line.
If I can still open the box... I will use a knife and just slit around the edges of the top/side flap of the game box and leave the original plastic wrap on the box. Unfortunately, I didn't think about doing this until the last NEW N64 game which was Perfect Dark (that I got from Media Play) Man I wish I did that with ALL my game carts! At least now if I get say a collectors or deluxe edition of a game in a fat box I will leave the plastic on.

I had a Sesame Street Big Bird lunch box with the sippy cup thermos. It was very cool, although the box broke early on and for the thermos the graphics started coming off everytime it was washed. I still remember the smell of the artificial berry juice in the thermos.
If the Pokémon cards keep selling, we’re probably going to see, little by little, more and more merchandise in the store. My bet is that it’ll basically be a Pokémon store by the end of 2025 😂
