I saw an Elite 6 dustbin wagon a few weeks ago. It broke down outside my flat and luckily enough it was fixed by clearing a fault code and off it went. My local council have the earlier Elite 2's with the D7E and the compressors are so loud on them. Being 26t and always stopping and starting must have hard lives.
Back when I first started in 2012 the fleet was red and mai lying 2005 models. Very loud, snappy throttles and much more basic loading equipment. The 208/19/20 of my later stint were white, "quieter" and had a good deal more safety gear on them too. Red ones for fun & frolics but definitely the modern white ones for daily use.
Older Dustbin wagon's were noisy, jumpy etc but better now. Our local council used to have Mercedes Benz Econic's which weren't very reliable before switching to Dennis Elite's. They seem to be the no1 choice for council's and the likes of Biffa now
Hi Mate loved the video just wanted to say this has been a job idea of mine however I do believe the pay isn't great with the job. Do you know which company/council has the highest wages for bin men?
You're correct wages are not to keen However the hours, working days and lifestyle works for some I imagine big cities or London pay best £20-25k I imagine is the norm Loaders £17-19k
Have you ever been to Northern Ireland? They have like beautiful Mercedes Econic Garbage Trucks!
I have not been to Ireland, no sir, Wales, neither.
They're on the list to visit eventually.
Oh alright, hopefully you visit soon in the future! 😅
Awesome video mate
another epic video
