- Adi Sankaracharya has written very many great Stotras (prayers) but here is a unique prayer, which is not only a prayer but the summary of all the philosophy that he has taught. Even during his time, this stotra was difficult to comprehend and it became necessary for one of his disciples, Sureshwaracharya to write a commentary called Manasollasa to explain it.

Hello Ramesh, I must express my sincerest gratitude to you for putting forth english transcripts with Swami Brahmananda's divine itonations of Sanskrit stotra with feelings which has given me a glimpse of the "beyond" which is beyond any explanations through words..... I hear it everyday twice and divine voice of Swami Brahmananda awaken the universal teacher "Dakshinamurthy" hidden within me to guide me on the path of divine.... I was overwhelmed with the message conveyed.... I can't express that in words..... I repeatedly listen it... It confirms my conviction of "beyond"...

Thank you for uploading!! This was the version I was searching for!! The other are too distracting with too much music and beats!! Not that I have anything against the other versions but I think I should feel calm when listening or chanting!! The music just get too distracting and they do have mistakes when they pronounce words!! Thanks a ton for posting!!

I love Swamiji’s voice it’s very melodious. As for the English scripts the breaks in Sanskrit words does not flow how Swami breaks it
This makes it very difficult to pronounce for those of us who don’t know the Language

Adi Shankaracharya time is 500 BC not AD, please correct or you are sending a wrong information
Adisankara preceded Kulasekara varman (Alwar) who lived 800 Ad - he is tbev Kerala king who became a saint ( famous for Perumal Tirumozhi and Mukunda Mala) hence it is AD .....the question can be was it 400 or 500 AD ....at that time Buddhism and Jainism were very popular
Adisankaras death is attributed in 700 Ad and also 820 AD , he died very young certainly not BC
@@nrkkvsnlcom Sri Kanchi Acharya who is at the Preetam is 70 th Acharya, even considering average age of 50 years per Acharya it should be 3500 years from now. Hence 2500 years is closer to 3500 years than 1200 years what you have mentioned. Also Shankaracharya discussion with Buddha is well known and we all know Buddha is of the same period

జానామీతి తమేవ భాంతమనుభాత్యేతత్సమస్తం జగత్

మాయాశక్తి విలాసకల్పిత మహావ్యామోహ సంహారిణే

రాహుగ్రస్త దివాకరేందు సదృశో మాయా సమాచ్ఛాదనాత్

ప్రాగస్వాప్సమితి ప్రభోదసమయే యః ప్రత్యభిజ్ఞాయతే

బాల్యాదిష్వపి జాగ్రదాదిషు తథా సర్వాస్వవస్థాస్వపి

స్వాత్మానం ప్రకటీకరోతి భజతాం యో ముద్రయా భద్రయా

విశ్వం పశ్యతి కార్యకారణతయా స్వస్వామిసంబంధతః

స్వప్నే జాగ్రతి వా య ఏష పురుషో మాయా పరిభ్రామితః

భూరంభాంస్యనలోఽనిలోఽంబర మహర్నాథో హిమాంశుః పుమాన్

నాన్యత్కించన విద్యతే విమృశతాం యస్మాత్పరస్మాద్విభో

సర్వాత్మత్వమితి స్ఫుటీకృతమిదం యస్మాదముష్మిన్ స్తవే
తేనాస్వ శ్రవణాత్తదర్థ మననాద్ధ్యానాచ్చ సంకీర్తనాత్ |
సర్వాత్మత్వమహావిభూతి సహితం స్యాదీశ్వరత్వం స్వతః
సిద్ధ్యేత్తత్పునరష్టధా పరిణతం చైశ్వర్య మవ్యాహతమ్ ‖ 10 ‖
