However it does make up for that in the sense that it alongside the grade zero have the best attack combo for the two protagonists.
How about the RYNOCERATOR in Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal? Now, the base RY3NO is pretty powerful, since it fires lasers that instantly kill any non-boss enemy they touch AND do a ton of damage to bosses. The problem is when you upgrade it to the RYNOCERATOR. Instead of firing lasers that instantly kill enemies, the lasers instead converge right in front of you and create a blinding explosion that kills all enemies on screen. Now, this problem is two-fold. First off, the explosion won't kill enemies that are behind ratchet or are offscreen. Second, the explosion doesn't even damage bosses AT ALL, so you have to hit them with the lasers before they converge, and even then the lasers themselves do almost no damage.
Tales of Arise. If we're talking skills and spells, Reigning Slash. It's an absolutely devastating move that on some bosses, you can spam and do far more damage than just about any combo... And that's where it gets bad. In a game with an amazing combo system, it knocks enemies across the field and out of range of any combos.
8:34 Umbrella Corp. feels personally attacked. The amount of overpowered Bioweapons that turned out to be secretly terrible *for everyone* cannot be contained to a list.
The OICW in real life actually functioned the same way. It's whole gimmick was the "smart programmable munitions" fired from the top barrel, bullpup loaded weapon. The idea was to use it as an airburst weapon that allowed the user to lase the cover that an enemy was hiding behind, then detonate the round directly above or beside the enemy. The assault rifle part was actually below the munitions launcher in this setup too. The two weapons systems were actually split after testing phases ended. The assault rifle became the G36 and the launcher went on to become the XM-25 for the US military, which is also something that until a couple of years ago, was still being tweaked and improved.
The grenade launcher was deemed a warcrime. The grenades were too small to be classed as grenades, and instead got classed as bullets. Exploding bullets are a warcrime, so the launcher got retired.
The portable gatling gun in the just cause games. Endless ammo, can destroy an entire enemy base in minutes but once holding it, all mobility is gone & you're slow as a snail.
The same was the case with the incendiary sniper rifle in far cry 3, that you unlocked by liberating all the outposts… so basically no enemies left in the game… suuuux

It could be a whole list of its own, really. Hell, it could be several, it's a definite thing in RPGs of all stripes: The reward for beating the biggest, baddest optional boss should be commensurately awesome, right? Sounds good, except you just beat the biggest challenge in the game without it, so everything else was already going to be a milk run by comparison, even the final boss. It still feels better and more badass than some useless "certificate" item or whatever, and it sucks to beat such a big challenge and not get anything, so they kind of have to keep doing it.

In Psychonauts 2 the Clairvoyance power Limitless which removes cooldowns has the same problem as Chronicle 2, there isn't even an option to replay bosses or anything and it is literally impossible to get it without doing several things after the final boss battle including returning to the last brain from the Collective Unconscious (because you need to collect some stuff from a room you have zero chance to explore before the level boots you and the story will not let you return until after the final boss fight) and a few things you need to return to the hub zone with a power you get after crossing a Point of No Return (which you can freeplay through after the final battle).

The master destruction fire spell from skyrim. You could blast everyone near you, if you let them whale on you because it took forever to cast and was close ranged.
(Ultima VII) The Armageddon spell. When used, it kills EVERYBODY.. Except the Avatar (the player), Lord British, and the main villain of the game. (Dark Cloud) I love the games. Both of them. In the first Dark Cloud game, Chronicle II is definitely wasted potential. All of the hard work going into clearing the Demon Shaft AND the overpowered boss, and then you get an awesome weapon with no enemies to fight. At least the second game learned from this mistake.

Another one that could've been on this list Sword of Aeons from the original release of Fable. By the time you get your hands on it...the game is more or less over. The master destruction fire spell from skyrim. You could blast everyone near you, if you let them whale on you because it took forever to cast and was close ranged.
Saw Dark Cloud’s Toan. Had to click
Thanks for the constant uploads man!!!
There’s a weapon in Soul Calibur 2 just like the Phantom but it is visible when the map is dark.
Jules doing a channel tie in within a channel tie in is why he makes those big bucks! Consummate professional! Lol
(Ultima VII)
The Armageddon spell.
When used, it kills EVERYBODY.. Except the Avatar (the player), Lord British, and the main villain of the game.
(Dark Cloud)
I love the games. Both of them.
In the first Dark Cloud game, Chronicle II is definitely wasted potential. All of the hard work going into clearing the Demon Shaft AND the overpowered boss, and then you get an awesome weapon with no enemies to fight.
At least the second game learned from this mistake.
But the chronicle 2 has weapons that surpass it in power. Now granted it is made up for in the sense that for the swords it has the best attack combo.
Fantastic editing, the rats section in particular had me in stitches!
Jules from FGS another fantastic episode sir!
Clan Moulder would agree Rat Ogre great weapon yes-yes!
Keep up the good work, you're awesome, Jules.
Um, no soul blade from LoD(name may be wrong)? 10% health per attack on a game you can't really overlevel on to negate the negative effect
Quest for Glory made the list?
YAAASSS!!!
Earthbound or Mother 2 has the Casey Bat. 255 power but a 3/4 chance to miss the enemy.
Dark cloud for the win where our stream release or remastered version and for that matter WB why you not giving us Shadow Hearts for steam and a remaster you'd make so much money
Who els is only here and subscribed to FGS just for our glorious Egg Jules
Another one that could've been on this list
Sword of Aeons from the original release of Fable. By the time you get your hands on it...the game is more or less over. Much like the Chronicle2, there's nothing really left to actually use it on.
Of course, Lost Chapters and Anniversary gave you more to do past the point you can get it, so there's that, but before those came out...
That's a different issue. Its actually a good weapon. Its just that you don't get to really experience it
@@mullerpotgieter So is the Chronicle2 from Dark Cloud. But much the same, by the time you get it, there's nothing that really needs it to defeat.
7:35 oh god... That damn level in the campaign!!! Thought I was doing so well until he appeared 😅 Never played as Skaven long enough to play as one though so didn't realise how useless it can be
Great video
Popular memes that you find in video games.
If you make a "commenter version": The drake sword from dark souls 1. Easy to get, big base damage, miserable scaling.
I miss Dark Cloud 😭😭
NIH-BUH-LING TEEeeEETH! Cheers Jules x
How is the Phantom for Soul Calibur bad?
Jules is the top of the crop.
I thought, I was Jules......baaabeee
How many other people clicked on this just for the Dark Cloud image in the thumbnail?
I see Toan, I click
1st weapon sounds more like of a skill issue on the player part
Please will you get the focus sorted out on your new camera? Loving the videos as always, but I'm used to being able to see every hair on your rather impressive beard.
So is jules not with whatculture anymore?
Please do 10 more horrible weapons to us in multi player mode please mention this the Boarder lands Series the Pre sequel Name dropper Rocket launcher wasn't in here. The absurdre damage it can do mabey the best damage of any Rocket launcher. However the reloaded speed the fire rate firing speed and range means your dead by the either how long it takes or the range of the damage it afflicted. Worse on multi player.
biggusrattus... yeah.. until they get into a fight, you can get a BUNCH of shoddy rolls and the big idiot just stands there munching his own tail.
and hey, dark cloud... best weapon in that game was called STEVE
welll... in fantasy will anyone really give the powerful but fragile caster time to actually cast there spells? doubt it, so turn based fantasy games suck in that regard, but open battle games like the souls games, and skyrim are not much better at it TBH
I'm just finding out rn that you left whatculture
Hey there be chapters here
"F* you but also thanks" are the words i'd use to prise FROMSOFTWARE's games...
Sorry been a while are you no longer on whatcalture
Full of poos made me think about bluedragon
Cool 😅💋
There's awful lot of drunk young men on a Friday night with an 'Overpowered Weapon', which many a drunk young women would say were not so secretly terrible.
