Hey just a tip for the Mac palette without the insert you can also buy sticky circle magnets and pop them on the back of pans from other brands or pans that you’ve depotted from singles with no magnet!

The way I use face and body is to rub it between my hands until it starts to get tacky, almost gives resistance, then use my hands to blend it onto my face. That for some reason gives more coverage. I also love it to add to a matte foundation to make it a little more glowy.
Rhe coverage is more than way because you reduce some of the water content. It is so watery that using a brush or sponge directly will soak up a good portion and sheer it out. I love this foundation for that reason it makes it very customizable.
Love MAC. It’s a great brand that doesn’t get enough love on YT. Modesty is my favourite lipstick of all. Cream In Your Coffee is another Cremesheen next to Modesty for a slightly browner pink. Moisturizing with a nice shine straight from the bullet. Modesty lipstick is also a great cream blush blended into damp Face & Body. It’s not the longest lasting but it will do in a pinch. Faux is a nude pink satin & Velvet Teddy is a matte brownish peach pink that I put gloss on top for extra moisture and shine. Love the lip liners. My favourite is Boldly Bare & I like Dervish but it’s a lot drier formula than the Boldly Bare. I’ve found a similar shade to Dervish in Milani #03 Nude. It’s a creamier formula but equally good performance. Face & Body is an HG for me. It looks lovely on my 63 year old aging dry combo skin but it is sheer- why I love it & others may not. If I need more coverage my next favourite can be dusted on top. Or I dot some IT Bye Bye Under Eye concealer onto it & blend. Studio Fix powder foundation is my pick to get out the door fast. It fits in a carry on without taking up room in the TSA liquid allowance bag. Works in summer heat and humidity and also as a portable nose touch up for my purse I think Mac eyeshadow is amazing. I’ve invested in a number of favourites which form my personal palette. I love the performance but also that I can buy refills of more used shades easily and cheaply. Favourite 6 eyeshadows: Charcoal Brown- this one is my eyebrows, eyeliner including tightlining AND it deepens an outer corner plus sheers out in the crease. Vanilla: inner corner highlight. Lightens up stuff from other palettes that’s too dark. Which is often. I’m a NW15 pale. Brule is my skin colour so it’s my base shade. Matte neutral. Blanc Type is a close second. Wedge is my favourite crease shade. Malt & Kid are close behind in that category. Naked Lunch adds a satiny pink champagne glow on my lids without accentuating my wrinkles. All That Glitters is pretty but skews orange on me so I prefer NL. Grain is a lovely all over one & done satiny shadow. If I don’t have time to fiddle around this always looks like I blended several close shades on my lids. If I could only have 2 they’d be Grain & Charcoal Brown. Can’t live without those 2. Lip Glass isn’t my favourite lipgloss of all time, I tried Oyster Girl for a topper, and I much prefer any drugstore lipgloss over Lip Glass. Too sticky and stiff. Applying Oyster Girl practically peeled my lipstick off underneath. The shimmer disappears and there’s no lasting moisture either. Left me wondering what was the point with Lip Glass. Rimmel’s Blushing Belgrave beat it all hollow. I prefer Clinique High Impact mascara to any other that I’ve tried including Mac Extreme Dimension. That Mac ED is more of a defining mascara and quite nice but I prefer the Clinique.
My favorite Mac product of all time is the Mac Mineralize Moisture Foundation. It’s the perfect winter foundation for dry skin. Lightweight and doesn’t cling to spots. It was the first high end foundation I ever tried and I keep repurchasing years later! Great video!
I swear by MAC lip liners and have for close to 20 yrs now. I prefer the pencil that you have to sharpen because they don’t move around my lip lines due to being overly creamy. Some shades are better than others but I can’t count how many Soar ones I’ve been through and currently I’m really into Boldy Bare and Spice. Perfect for fall! I will always rank MAC very high in terms of their lipsticks and single eyeshadows!! The eyeshadows are more forgiving on mature eyelids because of the formulas they have. Their blushes are also wonderful. Good to hear/see a video on MAC again.
Jess! I have vintage selection!!!! So how I work it is by either a flat shader or a concealer type brush application on the lid or fingertip application on the lid. I try not to over blend it. Then I throw a neutral light brown (whatever you please), and blend the crease. It works for me. Make sure you put enough on your eyelids, and don’t overblend vintage selection. It’s a wonderful color on my fair skin and brown eyes!
Our daughter was a a dancer and wore glitter on her eyes from the age of 5--19. We loved MAC fix & spray on a brush and then put it in the glitter and on her eyes. It stayed throughout the dance and sweat. It works with the pigments too.

Cork I use as not only an eye shadow but it’s the PERFECT contour shade for me! I can’t live without gigablack lash mascara. Whirl is hands down my favorite lipstick PERIOD. and I feel like this is an unpopular opinion but Mac lipgloss is my FAV formula. My favorite shades are nymphette and candy box. Lol I’m Mac obsessed.

The face and body foundation is amazing when you are trying to tone a full coverage foundation down. I have the Becca foundation and while the color is great, the coverage is just too much for me...I add a few drops of the face and body and voila! Perfection 🥰
Woodwinked is my favorite 😍 so gorgeous on. I love Saddle as a crease shadow for my skintone. My favorite lipstick is Kinda Sexy, Please Me, Velvet Teddy, Whirl, Speak Louder, Chatterbox, and Ruby Woo. Breath of Plum and Margin are my favorite blushes ever!!!

Hey Jessica! Vintage Selection is one of my favorite Paint Pots. I love to use it as a topper for other shades. You can use a matte eyeshadow/other paint pot and tap Vintage Selection on top of it on the lid to give it what I call a "sophisticated shimmer"
Okay I've been back and forth on the face and body for like a year now (there's so much in the dang full size I have no choice but to use it up).. So here's what I've decided is the best application imo: use a glowy primer like the strobe cream, I used loreal glotion, and use a flat top kabuki-type foundation brush that you can press in with. Get a generous amount of the foundation and really go ham on stamping it in. It's definitely still not full coverage but it sits so much better on my skin like that and honestly gives that "glass skin" vibe which I really love. That's just my two cents. It's definitely not for a full glam night off because it won't hold up to an all night out etc. It's perfect for summer when you don't want to really wear makeup but I do think you can get it up to a light medium coverage with the method I've been using.
I love Mac, its the second most brand occurring in my collection, Nars is the only brand I own more of. I feel like a lot of people get shafted with the paint pots because they dry out, they do not dry out easy so you are buying some ancient product if it dried out. I like Princess Cut and Bare Study because of the colour pearls in them. My favourite eyeshadow is Stary night, its so beautiful, it looks black but comes off purple on your lid. I also love the extra dimension blushes, they can also be thought of as a pigmented highlight. Lipstick wise (i have 6) Antique Velvet, Smoked Purple and Icon are favourites
MAC products I absolutely love: studio fix foundation, studio fix concealer, studio fix powder foundation, Soft and Gentle highliter, extra dimention highliter in whisper of gilt and show gold, mineralize concealer, mineralize foundation, mineralize powder, matte, creamsheen, satin lipsticks, eye brow pomade (wish they had more shades), clear brow gel, matte shadows, dazzle shadows, loose pigments, lipglass, face and body foundation, studio sculpt foundation, next to nothing face powder, huggable lipsticks, liptensity lipaticks, paint pots (soft ochre, paineterly) flame boyant palette, lumiere face primer, mascaras ( most of them are great), brush cleanser, white edge sponges.
Vintage paint pot is my “go to” for a very quick, more undone look. I use it over my lids, applying with my finger. I then use Kevvyn Aucoin contour powder in Light in my crease. Sometimes I take the extra step and apply Wet n wild’s Creme Brûlée on my brow bone. I’m pretty fair with a cool undertone, but I have blonde hair. IDK, maybe it’s the hair that makes a difference 🤷♀️
Thank you! I’m always amazed that so many channels never talk about strobe cream. I feel the original pearl (light one) was one of the original cream highlighters! I use it under makeup and as a cream highlight and the tiny travel size lasts a really long time! I used to love their cream color base in fantastical and was so sad when they discontinued. I still use their cream color base in Shell which is a beautiful blush topper or cream eyeshadow. I’m also a huge fan of their creamsheen lipsticks! Recently picked Crosswire w my back to Mac swap. I do love that they have that program!
You look super youthful in this video!...your hair and makeup is so pretty in a way that you don't look a day older than 25. My only mac product is the paint pot in painterly. Soft ochre looks too yellow on me, but painterly is a shade that I could use even by it's own...
Jess, try rubbing the Face and Body on your fingers and then spread on the face. When it is applied tacky to the face the coverage is better, plus it can be built up. If you're not going to get rid of it, try that way and see if you like it better. I love it because it evens the skin tone more then the coverage!
I love Mac Face & Body as a mix in with other thicker foundations to make them more like a tinted moisturizer consistency for the hot Phoenix summers. I usually add one pump of the thick foundation and a few drops of the Face & Body, mix, and it's perfect. I've also used Face & Body alone with the It cosmetics heart foundation brush, which works great for me. I also use it to tone down a summer foundation shade, when I'm in between summer - winter shades. My favs are the extra dimension highlighters in Show Gold and Beaming Blush and extra dimension blush in Sweets for For My Sweet.
It's crazy how much you've grown over the past 5 years! You can definitely tell how comfortable you are on camera now. You seem more confident and self-assured and like you can be yourself. It's been so cool watching it happen. 😊
When my face is oily in the t-zone, I use Mac prep + prime skin refined zone treatment skin primer. I put a tiny amount on the corner of my nose, chin, and between my eye brows. That is where I get oily. Mel Thompson recommended this product on her channel.
MAC Brûlée e/s, I have panned two and am on a third. The Blush All Day if you have neutral cool light skin that’s not too fair but needs a bit of depth. This blush goes with almost any lippie. Really versatile for work.

If you love a glow/sheen in your highlight/blush/bronzer I really recommend checking the extra dimension highlights and blushes/bronzers from mac, they are the most stunning! Easy to apply and blend, colour payoff is great but somehow it is still quite hard to go too heavy handed! I have three blushes and two highlighters from extra dimension line and i have since ditched all the other highlights and blushes :)
When I first started wearing makeup the Face and Body foundation was the first real foundation I bought and I loooovvved it. I bought the big one. This was about 5 yrs ago and my skin was so dry. I wore it every day to work and I got a lot of compliments on my skin. I need to repurchase for “no makeup” makeup days. I do recommend setting it if you don’t have dry skin though.
Creme Cup is my HG lip topper, their lipstick formulas are some gold standard products. Stone lip liner! Mineralized Skin Finish face powder. Their blushes rule... Waterweight foundation, great mixer. I love Soft Frost highlighter. Mac is a great brand.. their first spokes model was Ru PAUL. Hello! First brand that had my undertone in a foundation. Cool vid.
Hi Jessica now then , I have never ever used MAC but Estée Lauder I have used all my adult life first skin care then onto makeup and I would save up to buy my products but now I have moved onto buying several Charlotte tilbury products in fact my favourite lipstick is The duchess of charlottes very similar to the one your wearing ! but more often than not is Estée Lauder even my perfume ! My skin looks amazing considering I am mature !
Wow...so happy to see a video on MAC, thought I was last of the Mohekins. 😂 I use mixing medium with my pigments and also as highlight and pop of it on the center of my lips. My fave is the clear gloss...no not the glass but the gloss. It’s not as tacky and turns my favorite lipsticks in a gloss. MAC and MUFE are hands down my tried and true.
For years (before discovering TH-cam!) I only used Mac and Mary Kay. I panned 3 Retrospeck and Satin Taupe mac shadows, panned 2 Mac skin finish powders that I used as foundation, and used up almost 2 Mac lipsticks in Bombshell (my wedding day color). I should pull these out and use them again!!
talking about mac palettes. i bough a sheet of magnet, (that sounds weird to say) anyhoo, i cut the sheet to fit inside my mac palette so everything actually magnetized inside of it. it was like a 2 or 3 pack of sheets, and i think they were 12x12 inch squares. handy!
Once upon a time you recommended the Mac Paint Pot in Indianwood, and it is now my favorite cream eye shadow of all time! I basically wear it all fall and winter long. Looove it!
I used to love MAC. I still do but I just never get to the store or by on the internet. I loved the studio fix powder. I loved the blushes. I loved the single shadows. I still have a couple lipsticks. I think MAC was one of the first brands to really appeal to makeup artists and started lots of trends.
Love the Mac pigment in Vanilla I have been using the same To Go size one for 3 years and it looks barely used, I’ve added it to body lotion, primers, lipgloss and I even added some to a nail polish top coat and I love it 🥰
I use the vintage selection paint pot with a sponge tip eyeshadow applicator on top of the 24 hour eye base it picks up the shimmer a lot better. Also, don’t rub it in, pat it on the lid and you will get better color pay off for sure.
I love the strobe cream, blacktrack liner, cream base in hush and face & body foundation, you have to really work it into the skin until it forms a film and then you can build it up for more coverage, it’s water, sweat and transfer proof but you can’t apply it like a regular foundation, you really have to massage it in.
OK 400+ comments, I am sure someone has mentioned this, but my fav MAC product is the Waterweight Foundation, it is a step up in coverage from the Face & Body, it's my personal goto. Very natural and more serum like, love it!
I adore Vintage Selection, use it with a base like Painterly or Color Tattoo by Maybelline in Chill Girl. Perfect for a light makeup day or a simple look and can be darkened to make a dramatic look for switching it up in the evening. It's one of my favorites for vacations and travel. I use Vintage Selection as a sticky base for pigments or under other eyeshadows (like sable), rather than as an eyeshadow itself. I don't think it works any better or worse than Painterly, but it can help prolong the staying power of whatever similarly colored pigment that I put over it.
You must try teddy eyekohl if you love costa riche they both look great smudged on the eyes. If you want a little more coverage from face and body pour some on a palette let it sit for 2 minutes it will thicken adding alittle more coverage. You should also try the new love me lipsticks they look like a gloss on the lips and the dazzle shadows are beautiful. Sweat heat, Havana and Smokey mauve extra dimension shadows are amazing no glitter but intense metallic shine.
I love the Mac face and body, but only to mix. In my kit I only carry full coverage foundations and the face and body. With the two I’m able to customize the coverage that is wanted/needed.
I never have any luck with mac eyeshadows doesn’t matter what I do when I blend the eyeshadows lift off like subculture but I don’t use primer and it’s only a problem for me with mac. Love face and body foundation many of the uk old school muas use it with their fingers and apparently you massage it in until it changes texture then add another coat if required, it builds really well. Also love any of the skin finish powders, blushes, bronzers and lipglass

So many MAC favorites! Paint pot in Painterly for eye lid primer, and Groundwork for an easy one shadow look. Eyeshadows: Club, All that glitters, Omega (perfect crease color for us pale skin folk!). They recently discontinued the eyeliner that has been my go-to for ages, so if anyone has a quality dupe for their Technakohl in Earthline, help me out! Love your videos, will have to go back now and re-watch your older MAC favorites 🥰
My MAC holy grail products are: Fix+, Strobe Cream and Painterly Paint Pot. I also do like their eyeshadows, but always get the refill size pans for $7. Love your channel!!! Keep up the great videos! 😊
The area I live in, the MAC counters don’t sell the refill pans. I have been ordering them online. Not sure about the MAC stores. Hope this is helpful. 😊
Mac creamsheen lipsticks are great. I never liked lip glosses because I have full lips. This one is gives me the right shine without looking too glossy. Sweet sakura is my fave!
I love LOVE love the Fix Plus. I love double gleam as well. MAC Prolong Wear is my holy grail foundation. I use it to mix in with other foundations just to get them to look better. Creme in Your Coffee, Capricious, and Modesty are my favorite MAC lip colors. Painterly Paint Pot is the best eye shadow primer ever.
I truly love Urban Decay's Chill setting spray...longevity like All-Nighter and good for your skin ingredients from Skindinavia!!! And it actually works to cool your face down...Florida problems and early menopause 😉❤

I had to go watch the old vid before this one. I love how some things haven’t changed in the last five years. Still loving your Ebates and disliking glitter fall out. I remember that video made me order rice paper for the first time. Also, I remember feeling SOOOOO COOL because two of your favorite lipsticks were my favorite (cream cup and syrup). Now I feel like I need to go make a new quad, a paint pot and maybe a blush.
Cannot live without my Viva Glam II. I love the satin formula. Love the studio fix powder foundation too! The face and body is magic for long wear makeup- as a mixer with other fave makeup. I can go on and on about MAC...
I didn’t like MAC at first because I thought they were overpriced. But along the years I bought a lot of there products that I really love. I suggest that you try the mineralized foundation, it’s medium coverage and looks great on more mature skin and dry skin. There extradimention blushes are sssssoooo good, if you don’t want a highlighter but still want some sheen on your cheeks.
I didn't really love FIX +. It burns my eyelids and makes my foundation too dewy so I can see why people with dry skin would love it. I LOVE the Studio Fix pressed powder, it's beautiful. I like the MSF Natural as a finishing powder, so glowy and pretty. Studio Fix Fluid is beautiful too but the smell 🤢 is too strong, and I think it breaks me out if I wear it too often.
Fix plus doesn’t work for me, it hurts my skin and I’m in the dry/dehydrated category. It also breaks me out and its extremely wet? Like ik, its liquid but it doesn’t dry into the skin. Just me? 😂💁♀️.

I swear by the studio concealer. Whenever I have a pimple, I always get lingering redness (Im SUPER fair) and this is the only thing that cancels out EVERYTHING. That being said, I wouldnt put it under my eyes, I agree. Face and Body I kinda feel the same way, I struggle with it because no shade is light enough for me....its pretty on the skin, but I like my It Cosmetics CC much better. Great video Jess!
So glad that I’m not the the only one that thinks MAC’s Give me Sun bronzer pulls WAY orange! Thought it was “just me.” I have medium-olive skin tone (neutral-warm) & really just can’t pull-off that shade on my skin tone though I’ve tried. For comparison, the Hourglass Radiant Bronze Light & Laura Mercier Bronze #4 Baked Bronzer are all perfect on me & I believe the darkest shades those lines offer in bronzers....but just can’t do MAC’s Give Me Sun.

You made me gasp - the Skin Tint is my HG! Truly, truly wont use anything else at this point. I’ve tried oodles and oodles of foundations and tinted moisturizer but I always come back to that one. I mix it sometimes with the pink primer you talked about - Gorgeous!
Half n Half. its the perfect middle ground between pink and brown, and the amplified cream formula is full coverage, wears forever and wears off in a beautiful way, but most of all, it literally makes my lips look fuller. I guess thats the magic behind "amplified"... Ive been loving doublegleam also. Lightscapade is nice too but more subtle, like the physicians formula with the pearl on it...

Try the vanilla pigment as a highlighter it’s sooooo pretty and subtle! Also for lipstick the Aladdin collection friend like me is so perfect and blankety is my favorite of all time.
Great video! My all time favorite MAC eye shadow is Orb. I dust it all over my lid and leave it be if I just want to have a “no makeup” make up day. I layer other shadows over it if I want more color. I’m totally trying the MAC lip in Modesty! It looks right up my alley. 💄❤️

I love Mac! Syrup is my fav lustre lipstick and their creamsheen glasses are their best lip glosses. Not sticky at all. Very balmy. My fav shade is Deelight.
I love to see staple products get more attention, and I think you have me sold on that highlighter! The paintpot in painterly is my favorite for "no makeup makeup" on my eyes.
I feel like you just mentioned everything I started my makeup collection with and still use along with all the other brands. The strobe cream was in a more neutral tone but with the release of gold light I'm in love. Soft brown, woodwinked, sable were my fav eye shadows for the longest time. I still use Brun to fill my brows in. Melba and warm soul are beautiful blushers but the warm soul formulation has changed (not for the better) the blusher called Blushbaby and peaches are brilliant blushes to have in any pro kit. The lipsticks in faux, modesty, half n half, velvet teddy, kinda sexy, mocha & patisserie are all beautiful. Lip pencils in sour, spice and boldly bare are all brilliant staples. The pigment in naked is beautiful on the inner corner and brow bone. The extended play mascara for the lower lashes is also wonderful. The pro long wear concealer mixed with the prep + prime concealer in bright forecast will give you the most amazing under eyes. I hope they don't discontinue these two out of all of the above
I’m an old fart, 55, been a MAC addict since the 90s. My Holy Grail products are Studiofix powder foundation, the eyeshadow single refill pans, lipstick Mehr, lip glass Get Rich Quick. I have around 9 favorite lipsticks and my absolutely favorite eyeshadow palette is the one I made myself.
Omg I love vintage selection. It would work very well if you use it as a base for any metallic eyeshadow and even on its own. It has a better effect than you think when looking yourself on the mirror. The give me sun Is 100% way too orange for your completion and I would also 100% recommend popping half a pump of the pro longwear concealer on your face and body foundation for extra coverage. These two work so well together by far one of my favorite combos. 😅

Hey just a tip for the Mac palette without the insert you can also buy sticky circle magnets and pop them on the back of pans from other brands or pans that you’ve depotted from singles with no magnet!

The way I use face and body is to rub it between my hands until it starts to get tacky, almost gives resistance, then use my hands to blend it onto my face. That for some reason gives more coverage. I also love it to add to a matte foundation to make it a little more glowy.
Rhe coverage is more than way because you reduce some of the water content. It is so watery that using a brush or sponge directly will soak up a good portion and sheer it out. I love this foundation for that reason it makes it very customizable.
Love MAC. It’s a great brand that doesn’t get enough love on YT.
Modesty is my favourite lipstick of all. Cream In Your Coffee is another Cremesheen next to Modesty for a slightly browner pink. Moisturizing with a nice shine straight from the bullet.
Modesty lipstick is also a great cream blush blended into damp Face & Body. It’s not the longest lasting but it will do in a pinch.
Faux is a nude pink satin & Velvet Teddy is a matte brownish peach pink that I put gloss on top for extra moisture and shine.
Love the lip liners. My favourite is Boldly Bare & I like Dervish but it’s a lot drier formula than the Boldly Bare. I’ve found a similar shade to Dervish in Milani #03 Nude. It’s a creamier formula but equally good performance.
Face & Body is an HG for me. It looks lovely on my 63 year old aging dry combo skin but it is sheer- why I love it & others may not. If I need more coverage my next favourite can be dusted on top. Or I dot some IT Bye Bye Under Eye concealer onto it & blend.
Studio Fix powder foundation is my pick to get out the door fast. It fits in a carry on without taking up room in the TSA liquid allowance bag. Works in summer heat and humidity and also as a portable nose touch up for my purse
I think Mac eyeshadow is amazing. I’ve invested in a number of favourites which form my personal palette. I love the performance but also that I can buy refills of more used shades easily and cheaply.
Favourite 6 eyeshadows:
Charcoal Brown- this one is my eyebrows, eyeliner including tightlining AND it deepens an outer corner plus sheers out in the crease.
Vanilla: inner corner highlight. Lightens up stuff from other palettes that’s too dark. Which is often. I’m a NW15 pale.
Brule is my skin colour so it’s my base shade. Matte neutral. Blanc Type is a close second.
Wedge is my favourite crease shade. Malt & Kid are close behind in that category.
Naked Lunch adds a satiny pink champagne glow on my lids without accentuating my wrinkles. All That Glitters is pretty but skews orange on me so I prefer NL.
Grain is a lovely all over one & done satiny shadow. If I don’t have time to fiddle around this always looks like I blended several close shades on my lids.
If I could only have 2 they’d be Grain & Charcoal Brown. Can’t live without those 2.
Lip Glass isn’t my favourite lipgloss of all time, I tried Oyster Girl for a topper, and I much prefer any drugstore lipgloss over Lip Glass.
Too sticky and stiff. Applying Oyster Girl practically peeled my lipstick off underneath. The shimmer disappears and there’s no lasting moisture either. Left me wondering what was the point with Lip Glass. Rimmel’s Blushing Belgrave beat it all hollow.
I prefer Clinique High Impact mascara to any other that I’ve tried including Mac Extreme Dimension. That Mac ED is more of a defining mascara and quite nice but I prefer the Clinique.
My favorite Mac product of all time is the Mac Mineralize Moisture Foundation. It’s the perfect winter foundation for dry skin. Lightweight and doesn’t cling to spots. It was the first high end foundation I ever tried and I keep repurchasing years later!

I swear by MAC lip liners and have for close to 20 yrs now. I prefer the pencil that you have to sharpen because they don’t move around my lip lines due to being overly creamy. Some shades are better than others but I can’t count how many Soar ones I’ve been through and currently I’m really into Boldy Bare and Spice. Perfect for fall! I will always rank MAC very high in terms of their lipsticks and single eyeshadows!! The eyeshadows are more forgiving on mature eyelids because of the formulas they have. Their blushes are also wonderful. Good to hear/see a video on MAC again.
Jess! I have vintage selection!!!! So how I work it is by either a flat shader or a concealer type brush application on the lid or fingertip application on the lid. I try not to over blend it. Then I throw a neutral light brown (whatever you please), and blend the crease. It works for me. Make sure you put enough on your eyelids, and don’t overblend vintage selection. It’s a wonderful color on my fair skin and brown eyes!
Our daughter was a a dancer and wore glitter on her eyes from the age of 5--19. We loved MAC fix & spray on a brush and then put it in the glitter and on her eyes. It stayed throughout the dance and sweat. It works with the pigments too.

Cork I use as not only an eye shadow but it’s the PERFECT contour shade for me! I can’t live without gigablack lash mascara. Whirl is hands down my favorite lipstick PERIOD. and I feel like this is an unpopular opinion but Mac lipgloss is my FAV formula. My favorite shades are nymphette and candy box. Lol I’m Mac obsessed.

The face and body foundation is amazing when you are trying to tone a full coverage foundation down. I have the Becca foundation and while the color is great, the coverage is just too much for me...I add a few drops of the face and body and voila! Perfection 🥰

Hey Jessica! Vintage Selection is one of my favorite Paint Pots. I love to use it as a topper for other shades. You can use a matte eyeshadow/other paint pot and tap Vintage Selection on top of it on the lid to give it what I call a "sophisticated shimmer"
Mac Modesty cremesheen is the lipstick I bought for my wedding in November 😍 it's truly the perfect color! It's beautiful with their liner in Whirl
Okay I've been back and forth on the face and body for like a year now (there's so much in the dang full size I have no choice but to use it up).. So here's what I've decided is the best application imo: use a glowy primer like the strobe cream, I used loreal glotion, and use a flat top kabuki-type foundation brush that you can press in with. Get a generous amount of the foundation and really go ham on stamping it in. It's definitely still not full coverage but it sits so much better on my skin like that and honestly gives that "glass skin" vibe which I really love. That's just my two cents. It's definitely not for a full glam night off because it won't hold up to an all night out etc. It's perfect for summer when you don't want to really wear makeup but I do think you can get it up to a light medium coverage with the method I've been using.

I love Mac, its the second most brand occurring in my collection, Nars is the only brand I own more of. I feel like a lot of people get shafted with the paint pots because they dry out, they do not dry out easy so you are buying some ancient product if it dried out. I like Princess Cut and Bare Study because of the colour pearls in them. My favourite eyeshadow is Stary night, its so beautiful, it looks black but comes off purple on your lid. I also love the extra dimension blushes, they can also be thought of as a pigmented highlight. Lipstick wise (i have 6) Antique Velvet, Smoked Purple and Icon are favourites
MAC products I absolutely love: studio fix foundation, studio fix concealer, studio fix powder foundation, Soft and Gentle highliter, extra dimention highliter in whisper of gilt and show gold, mineralize concealer, mineralize foundation, mineralize powder, matte, creamsheen, satin lipsticks, eye brow pomade (wish they had more shades), clear brow gel, matte shadows, dazzle shadows, loose pigments, lipglass, face and body foundation, studio sculpt foundation, next to nothing face powder, huggable lipsticks, liptensity lipaticks, paint pots (soft ochre, paineterly) flame boyant palette, lumiere face primer, mascaras ( most of them are great), brush cleanser, white edge sponges.
Vintage paint pot is my “go to” for a very quick, more undone look. I use it over my lids, applying with my finger. I then use Kevvyn Aucoin contour powder in Light in my crease. Sometimes I take the extra step and apply Wet n wild’s Creme Brûlée on my brow bone. I’m pretty fair with a cool undertone, but I have blonde hair. IDK, maybe it’s the hair that makes a difference 🤷♀️

Thank you! I’m always amazed that so many channels never talk about strobe cream. I feel the original pearl (light one) was one of the original cream highlighters! I use it under makeup and as a cream highlight and the tiny travel size lasts a really long time! I used to love their cream color base in fantastical and was so sad when they discontinued. I still use their cream color base in Shell which is a beautiful blush topper or cream eyeshadow. I’m also a huge fan of their creamsheen lipsticks! Recently picked Crosswire w my back to Mac swap. I do love that they have that program!

You look super youthful in this video!...your hair and makeup is so pretty in a way that you don't look a day older than 25. My only mac product is the paint pot in painterly. Soft ochre looks too yellow on me, but painterly is a shade that I could use even by it's own...
Jess, try rubbing the Face and Body on your fingers and then spread on the face. When it is applied tacky to the face the coverage is better, plus it can be built up. If you're not going to get rid of it, try that way and see if you like it better. I love it because it evens the skin tone more then the coverage!
I love Mac Face & Body as a mix in with other thicker foundations to make them more like a tinted moisturizer consistency for the hot Phoenix summers. I usually add one pump of the thick foundation and a few drops of the Face & Body, mix, and it's perfect. I've also used Face & Body alone with the It cosmetics heart foundation brush, which works great for me. I also use it to tone down a summer foundation shade, when I'm in between summer - winter shades. My favs are the extra dimension highlighters in Show Gold and Beaming Blush and extra dimension blush in Sweets for For My Sweet.

When my face is oily in the t-zone, I use Mac prep + prime skin refined zone treatment skin primer. I put a tiny amount on the corner of my nose, chin, and between my eye brows. That is where I get oily. Mel Thompson recommended this product on her channel.
If you love dose of colors glosses, you might like the Kiko Milano ones, the hydra line. So good!! Super moisturizing.
MAC Brûlée e/s, I have panned two and am on a third. The Blush All Day if you have neutral cool light skin that’s not too fair but needs a bit of depth. This blush goes with almost any lippie. Really versatile for work.
MAC is definitely one of my favorites! I love pretty much everything they offer! Plus, Modesty is my absolute favorite lipstick of all time! Love it!!! 💖💖

If you love a glow/sheen in your highlight/blush/bronzer I really recommend checking the extra dimension highlights and blushes/bronzers from mac, they are the most stunning! Easy to apply and blend, colour payoff is great but somehow it is still quite hard to go too heavy handed! I have three blushes and two highlighters from extra dimension line and i have since ditched all the other highlights and blushes :)
When I first started wearing makeup the Face and Body foundation was the first real foundation I bought and I loooovvved it. I bought the big one. This was about 5 yrs ago and my skin was so dry. I wore it every day to work and I got a lot of compliments on my skin. I need to repurchase for “no makeup” makeup days. I do recommend setting it if you don’t have dry skin though.
With the Face + Body, if you work with it fast the friction thickens it up and increases the coverage
Creme Cup is my HG lip topper, their lipstick formulas are some gold standard products. Stone lip liner! Mineralized Skin Finish face powder. Their blushes rule... Waterweight foundation, great mixer. I love Soft Frost highlighter. Mac is a great brand.. their first spokes model was Ru PAUL. Hello! First brand that had my undertone in a foundation. Cool vid.
Hi Jessica now then , I have never ever used MAC but Estée Lauder I have used all my adult life first skin care then onto makeup and I would save up to buy my products but now I have moved onto buying several Charlotte tilbury products in fact my favourite lipstick is The duchess of charlottes very similar to the one your wearing ! but more often than not is Estée Lauder even my perfume ! My skin looks amazing considering I am mature !

Wow...so happy to see a video on MAC, thought I was last of the Mohekins. 😂 I use mixing medium with my pigments and also as highlight and pop of it on the center of my lips. My fave is the clear gloss...no not the glass but the gloss. It’s not as tacky and turns my favorite lipsticks in a gloss. MAC and MUFE are hands down my tried and true.
For years (before discovering TH-cam!) I only used Mac and Mary Kay. I panned 3 Retrospeck and Satin Taupe mac shadows, panned 2 Mac skin finish powders that I used as foundation, and used up almost 2 Mac lipsticks in Bombshell (my wedding day color). I should pull these out and use them again!!
talking about mac palettes. i bough a sheet of magnet, (that sounds weird to say) anyhoo, i cut the sheet to fit inside my mac palette so everything actually magnetized inside of it. it was like a 2 or 3 pack of sheets, and i think they were 12x12 inch squares. handy!
Once upon a time you recommended the Mac Paint Pot in Indianwood, and it is now my favorite cream eye shadow of all time! I basically wear it all fall and winter long. Looove it!
I used to love MAC. I still do but I just never get to the store or by on the internet. I loved the studio fix powder. I loved the blushes. I loved the single shadows. I still have a couple lipsticks. I think MAC was one of the first brands to really appeal to makeup artists and started lots of trends.

Love the Mac pigment in Vanilla I have been using the same To Go size one for 3 years and it looks barely used, I’ve added it to body lotion, primers, lipgloss and I even added some to a nail polish top coat and I love it 🥰
I use the vintage selection paint pot with a sponge tip eyeshadow applicator on top of the 24 hour eye base it picks up the shimmer a lot better. Also, don’t rub it in, pat it on the lid and you will get better color pay off for sure.
I love the strobe cream, blacktrack liner, cream base in hush and face & body foundation, you have to really work it into the skin until it forms a film and then you can build it up for more coverage, it’s water, sweat and transfer proof but you can’t apply it like a regular foundation, you really have to massage it in.
OK 400+ comments, I am sure someone has mentioned this, but my fav MAC product is the Waterweight Foundation, it is a step up in coverage from the Face & Body, it's my personal goto. Very natural and more serum like, love it!
I adore Vintage Selection, use it with a base like Painterly or Color Tattoo by Maybelline in Chill Girl. Perfect for a light makeup day or a simple look and can be darkened to make a dramatic look for switching it up in the evening. It's one of my favorites for vacations and travel. I use Vintage Selection as a sticky base for pigments or under other eyeshadows (like sable), rather than as an eyeshadow itself. I don't think it works any better or worse than Painterly, but it can help prolong the staying power of whatever similarly colored pigment that I put over it.
You must try teddy eyekohl if you love costa riche they both look great smudged on the eyes. If you want a little more coverage from face and body pour some on a palette let it sit for 2 minutes it will thicken adding alittle more coverage. You should also try the new love me lipsticks they look like a gloss on the lips and the dazzle shadows are beautiful. Sweat heat, Havana and Smokey mauve extra dimension shadows are amazing no glitter but intense metallic shine.
MAC Satin Taupe was my JAM for years! It seems like a color you would love too. 💛
I love the Mac face and body, but only to mix. In my kit I only carry full coverage foundations and the face and body. With the two I’m able to customize the coverage that is wanted/needed.
I never have any luck with mac eyeshadows doesn’t matter what I do when I blend the eyeshadows lift off like subculture but I don’t use primer and it’s only a problem for me with mac.
Love face and body foundation many of the uk old school muas use it with their fingers and apparently you massage it in until it changes texture then add another coat if required, it builds really well. Also love any of the skin finish powders, blushes, bronzers and lipglass

So many MAC favorites! Paint pot in Painterly for eye lid primer, and Groundwork for an easy one shadow look. Eyeshadows: Club, All that glitters, Omega (perfect crease color for us pale skin folk!). They recently discontinued the eyeliner that has been my go-to for ages, so if anyone has a quality dupe for their Technakohl in Earthline, help me out! Love your videos, will have to go back now and re-watch your older MAC favorites 🥰
My MAC holy grail products are: Fix+, Strobe Cream and Painterly Paint Pot. I also do like their eyeshadows, but always get the refill size pans for $7.

Mac creamsheen lipsticks are great. I never liked lip glosses because I have full lips. This one is gives me the right shine without looking too glossy. Sweet sakura is my fave!
I love LOVE love the Fix Plus. I love double gleam as well. MAC Prolong Wear is my holy grail foundation. I use it to mix in with other foundations just to get them to look better. Creme in Your Coffee, Capricious, and Modesty are my favorite MAC lip colors. Painterly Paint Pot is the best eye shadow primer ever.
I truly love Urban Decay's Chill setting spray...longevity like All-Nighter and good for your skin ingredients from Skindinavia!!! And it actually works to cool your face down...Florida problems and early menopause 😉❤

I had to go watch the old vid before this one. I love how some things haven’t changed in the last five years. Still loving your Ebates and disliking glitter fall out. I remember that video made me order rice paper for the first time. Also, I remember feeling SOOOOO COOL because two of your favorite lipsticks were my favorite (cream cup and syrup). Now I feel like I need to go make a new quad, a paint pot and maybe a blush.

Cannot live without my Viva Glam II. I love the satin formula. Love the studio fix powder foundation too! The face and body is magic for long wear makeup- as a mixer with other fave makeup. I can go on and on about MAC...
I didn’t like MAC at first because I thought they were overpriced. But along the years I bought a lot of there products that I really love. I suggest that you try the mineralized foundation, it’s medium coverage and looks great on more mature skin and dry skin. There extradimention blushes are sssssoooo good, if you don’t want a highlighter but still want some sheen on your cheeks.
I didn't really love FIX +. It burns my eyelids and makes my foundation too dewy so I can see why people with dry skin would love it. I LOVE the Studio Fix pressed powder, it's beautiful. I like the MSF Natural as a finishing powder, so glowy and pretty. Studio Fix Fluid is beautiful too but the smell 🤢 is too strong, and I think it breaks me out if I wear it too often.
I have really sensitive skin and dry and never broke me , maybe is mainly for dry skin, because is quite creamy.
Fix plus doesn’t work for me, it hurts my skin and I’m in the dry/dehydrated category. It also breaks me out and its extremely wet? Like ik, its liquid but it doesn’t dry into the skin. Just me? 😂💁♀️.

I swear by the studio concealer. Whenever I have a pimple, I always get lingering redness (Im SUPER fair) and this is the only thing that cancels out EVERYTHING. That being said, I wouldnt put it under my eyes, I agree. Face and Body I kinda feel the same way, I struggle with it because no shade is light enough for me....its pretty on the skin, but I like my It Cosmetics CC much better.

So glad that I’m not the the only one that thinks MAC’s Give me Sun bronzer pulls WAY orange! Thought it was “just me.” I have medium-olive skin tone (neutral-warm) & really just can’t pull-off that shade on my skin tone though I’ve tried. For comparison, the Hourglass Radiant Bronze Light & Laura Mercier Bronze #4 Baked Bronzer are all perfect on me & I believe the darkest shades those lines offer in bronzers....but just can’t do MAC’s Give Me Sun.

You made me gasp - the Skin Tint is my HG! Truly, truly wont use anything else at this point. I’ve tried oodles and oodles of foundations and tinted moisturizer but I always come back to that one. I mix it sometimes with the pink primer you talked about - Gorgeous!
Half n Half. its the perfect middle ground between pink and brown, and the amplified cream formula is full coverage, wears forever and wears off in a beautiful way, but most of all, it literally makes my lips look fuller. I guess thats the magic behind "amplified"... Ive been loving doublegleam also. Lightscapade is nice too but more subtle, like the physicians formula with the pearl on it...

Try the vanilla pigment as a highlighter it’s sooooo pretty and subtle! Also for lipstick the Aladdin collection friend like me is so perfect and blankety is my favorite of all time.
My all time favs are the shadow in the colors "Shroom" and "Gleam" and the lip pencil in "Whirl"
Great video! My all time favorite MAC eye shadow is Orb. I dust it all over my lid and leave it be if I just want to have a “no makeup” make up day. I layer other shadows over it if I want more color. I’m totally trying the MAC lip in Modesty! It looks right up my alley. 💄❤️
Also, I love the videos where you try a new routine and then report back. I'm 10 years older than you so I'm looking for good skin care info in addition to makeup. You have a nice balance of that.
Jessica I love your makeup today. It's so natural and radiant looking. I am definitely going to check out that face and body foundation. I already own the mineralize powder which I do love. The eyeshadow looks amazing so does your blush. Great day to day look and it makes your skin look so healthy!

I love Mac! Syrup is my fav lustre lipstick and their creamsheen glasses are their best lip glosses. Not sticky at all. Very balmy. My fav shade is Deelight.

I love to see staple products get more attention, and I think you have me sold on that highlighter! The paintpot in painterly is my favorite for "no makeup makeup" on my eyes.
I feel like you just mentioned everything I started my makeup collection with and still use along with all the other brands. The strobe cream was in a more neutral tone but with the release of gold light I'm in love. Soft brown, woodwinked, sable were my fav eye shadows for the longest time. I still use Brun to fill my brows in. Melba and warm soul are beautiful blushers but the warm soul formulation has changed (not for the better) the blusher called Blushbaby and peaches are brilliant blushes to have in any pro kit. The lipsticks in faux, modesty, half n half, velvet teddy, kinda sexy, mocha & patisserie are all beautiful. Lip pencils in sour, spice and boldly bare are all brilliant staples. The pigment in naked is beautiful on the inner corner and brow bone. The extended play mascara for the lower lashes is also wonderful. The pro long wear concealer mixed with the prep + prime concealer in bright forecast will give you the most amazing under eyes. I hope they don't discontinue these two out of all of the above
I’m an old fart, 55, been a MAC addict since the 90s. My Holy Grail products are Studiofix powder foundation, the eyeshadow single refill pans, lipstick Mehr, lip glass Get Rich Quick. I have around 9 favorite lipsticks and my absolutely favorite eyeshadow palette is the one I made myself.
Fav mac lipsticks: viva glam 2, velvet teddy, half & half, modesty
Omg I love vintage selection. It would work very well if you use it as a base for any metallic eyeshadow and even on its own. It has a better effect than you think when looking yourself on the mirror. The give me sun Is 100% way too orange for your completion and I would also 100% recommend popping half a pump of the pro longwear concealer on your face and body foundation for extra coverage. These two work so well together by far one of my favorite combos. 😅
