You're far from the only one. When I was younger, at night I'd drive out to some semi-rural roads not too far from where I lived, and spot deer. There were times where I could drive for an hour and not see another car, a traffic light, even a streetlight; it was nothing but me, dark roads and the animals... and once in a while I'd pull off to the side of the road, get out of my car and listen to the world.
A long driving at night.. I cannot describe how much I love looking out the car window while my parents drive at night! Driving on straight road is so simple, yet so abstract.. going forward, and forward, seeing only the couple of meters in front of you, still trusting it fully.

I can't even describe how this makes me feel... Most of the THG videos I've seen and enjoyed are full of positive vibez, inspirational and healing.
But this has a special spice, a touch of melancholy, which is strangely soothing. I love playing this before sleep and contemplating about all the current things in my life. Suddenly, nothing seems to be good or bad. I just feel so present and alive.

I watch the last 2 minutes of this video almost every day.
The pulling into the lot. Entering the beach. The noise of the waves coming in and the music fading. It’s like something about the journey being completed or FINISHED is what makes my fucking soul hurt watching that last minute

There are two other driving ASMR videos that I love besides this one- one of them from here in the US, the other from Japan- and it really does seem that no matter where you are, there are few things as calming and entrancing as a nighttime drive in the rain. Just leaning back in the seat as the drops patter against the windshield and letting the miles (or kilometers) roll by.

Sat in my garden enjoying a drink and a cohiba before bed but became entranced by the music and amazingly ,for someone who drives at night a lot, the visual. I am guessing the journey began from West London and is picked up around Basingstoke on the M3 then the M27 around Southampton onto the A31 through Ringwood then South on the A338 towards destination Bournemouth on the South coast of England ( somewhere in Europe ).
Now as I live in Lichfield ( midlands UK ) that was not too difficult to work out, but for Christ sake Elena VG, how many countries in the WEST drive on the LEFT hand side. It surely is not that difficult to work out the National location of this great bit of art...
The only music that genuinely puts me to sleep 😴 That's a wonderful thing!

Love this driving one, and the music. It would be great if you did a series of night drives, and sunset drives, and sunrise drives to different locations. It just calms me, I feel that in the drive that all is possible, all roads are open to the dreams that will come.
Kelpyinkpot We do intend to do that when we can, although it's more likely to be in the spring and summer than now in the winter - but it is something we have noted down :)

Is there a version of this video without the music? Just the awesome car/wind.tyre noises? (The music is very relaxing, but I am curious to see how relaxing the car sounds alone will be).
I remember when this was first posted and I think it was originally posted without the music. I too much prefer that. Seems like the music overpowers the sounds of the road so the sounds of the tires on the road don't do anything anymore. Could just play music. Fingers crossed that they might post another version without the music!

This is wonderful. As a child I was always hyper and the only way my parents could make me sleep was to drive me around at 2am (my poor father!) It still works now and I'm 33....have a hard time even staying awake on the bus. Thank you for this virtual adult car ride! :)

Love this. Really puts you in a peaceful trance like state. I do wish the drive was been along the beach so you could hear the waves like when driving in Florida at night in a convertible. Really hope you make more of these driving meditations.

Something about this video brought me to a state I've never felt. I have asmr and it hasn't triggered the tingling feeling but did so much more. I felt and remembered stuff from my childhood that I never could remember before. I was in tears just watching my life over with my eyes open. Weird and amazing. Awesome video, subbed and liked.

Definitely not music to drive to.
The point of this exercise is to be a passenger safely cocooned in the cozy environment of a moving vehicle while relaxing to the hypnotic lull of the road noise and music. The visuals are supposed to 'suggest' or imply a close-to flying sensation which can be felt if you are able to get relaxed enough while watching in full screen - At least that was the thinking behind its design. :o)
Am I remembering incorrectly, or years ago did you folks have a version of this without music? That is what I remember and I would love to find that again.
