That feeling of movement, the sound of the wind hitting the car, the soft engine sound, it's just so relaxing, and a thing that happens to me is that when I'm in any soft spot that I'm not used to sleep on gets me to fall asleep in five minutes, I literally can't close my eyes while on my girlfriend's sofa or I'm out, it's magic, happens in the bus, car seat, any bed that's not mine, sofa... Idk if that's a thing to everybody but it is to me for some reason.
Yes! I would always be silently mad at him when the other cars would pass him. And then I would feel bad for him like it was actually a race and he lost.
This video lowkey makes me sad yet feel so safe. My long distance ex would call me every once and a while on his way home from work at 2am (4am his time) and I just laid there listening to him drive, he would occasionally sing, and I would drift off to sleep with him there. He didn’t do it very often but when he did, man those were some good moments. I wish life didn’t get in the way of me and him. We had some pretty rough moments, but the year I knew him was amazing. We were on and off that whole time and we’d go weeks without talking. Those weeks were terrible because all I wanted was him. He’d eventually come back and everything was amazing and then we’d drift apart again. It was like that since the beginning. we never met in person, so the people that knew of him tell me to just get over it because we never met. They say “how can you tear yourself apart for someone you’ve never even felt their presence?” I never found the answer to that question. I don’t regret meeting him but I do regret begging him to change so much. I still love him. I think I always will. I’ll always love you J.W.
Oh honey I completely understand. Sometimes, people you never meet are the most important people in your life. I'm sorry it turned out the way it did. I hope your memories are more sweet than bitter.
If i may answer that question, is probably because you never found "your man" in real life. So when something like that shows up online, its the closest thing to "your man". I also been through that
Like the person who prefers to stay up, pretending they are unbothered and on their phone, all the while they are really worried. 😂 You’ll notice the little jumps coming from them as they your approaching the stopped car up ahead. Or, your driving next to the parked cars on the side. 😂 Driving through semi heavy traffic with lots of lane changes. 😂
I love heavy thunderstorms. The more rain, thunder, and lightning, the better. It legitimately helps me sleep. But yeah, it's not for everyone. Whatever floats your ark.
Ah yes, the "I'm still half asleep and it's still dark outside but I gotta keep myself aware enough to drive and prepare myself mentally to get lifted up to the sky to go somewhere far away" feeling. And when you get near to the airport and can hear the sounds of various engines reverberating through the giant halls and the wide, wide fields. Now that I think about it, airport ambience is also a thing.
This brought me to tears. This made me feel like my husband was driving. He passed away a few months ago. He had two double lung transplants and went into rejection twice 🥺. all within two years. I was always passenger princess. But I haven’t since summer 2023 before he went into rejection again.. I miss him so much. This made me feel like he was driving and we were going home after cruising all over the city🥺 our thing was driving around for hours.
sir zeeto they mean that sometimes people’s lives are so busy they don’t have time or they never got to experience how it feels and it’s so relaxing and calming that everybody should be able to have this with no worries
I know right!! It drove me MAD when I was not allowed to drive even though I did not intend to leave the car 😭😭😭 This actually took a toll on my mental health Edit: You can get fined $11,000 AUD for doing the above during lockdown in Sydney
Now i agree! For some reason i can't stand asmr because it makes me cringe/uneasy/stressed/anxious while it's supposed relaxing and satisfying. Idk why. I wish i can relax with asmr like normal do. But this vid is alright for me
I can imagine that your brain becomes accustomed to the feeling of, for example, getting off the highway and the specific feeling of every turn or even bump leading up to your house
Throw back asffff...when I was little my family used to travel to different states when we had free time...I was so pissed when I would be sleep and when I wake up we were pulling in the drive way or 2 blocks from home 😭😭😭 miss those days
Yep I liked those too and I saw terminator one or 2 and i kept thinking of that scene that shows the road passing a lot as a kid I saw them when I was 8
and as a kid, you know when youre home when you feel this one particular turn but you stay exactly how you are. in your warm car. in this comfortable position with your eyes closed, just so your parents open the door for you, then feeling the cold breeze on your skin and them, waking you up gently, whispering ‘we’re home’
and then you start complaining and reluctantly get up by yourself because you've realized you've gotten too old for your parents to carry you into bed. and you fall asleep with this bittersweet feeling in deep in your chest
Being in the car at night having someone else drive is the most relaxing thing ever, the sounds are so calm like the ticking of the turn signal or the cars passing by just put me to sleep in a way nothing else can and I love it so much
It’s absolutely crazy to think about how much of the world’s land consists of roads... it’s really a world of its own. While yeah it’s definitely scary sometimes, for the most part it’s just... so damn nice.
I agree. I love highways. The fact they go on for so long and how many other cars there are just _driving_ . I always start thinking about all these other people in their cars, who they could be, where they could be going. Are they alone, are there more people? Families, Groups of friends? Where do they come from, where were they born, what are they thinking about? Idk, it‘s something about the fact we‘re traveling so fast and there are so many people around us, but we can‘t see each other or talk or interact in any way. We‘re just passing by one another, each in their little boxes, with crosses or dice dangling from the mirror, music playing or maybe just letting the sounds of the road serenade us, going about our own journeys and eventually parting ways to go wherever we need to be.
@@bbuuttercupp I also think about those exact thoughts all the time, it usually takes up most of my thoughts. I'm constantly wondering what people are thinking and where they're going and what they're doing and who they know and what they love to do. @@MonstehDinosawr i was thinking more about our different scenery. Less cities or woodland areas near highways, more farms. Even the barricades look different
Theres something about the full trust u have for that certain person, where u are comfortable enough to fall asleep in the car while they are driving at night, and it really hits different
I was wondering why this vid helped me fall asleep so fast and that's exactly it. It brings me back to my childhood when id always sleep in the car as my dad drove our family home.
Hello, I developed C-PTSD after my father’s death, but watching this video makes me feel like my father is right next to me, and it brings me so much comfort. Thank you so much.😭
When we were little /teens etc, dad hated flying so we would drive all over the USA for vacations. We kids were never allowed soda except in vacation and during the drives. It was still sparingly given but given all the same. We'd have a cooler in the trunk with ice inside covering sandwich meats, cheeses, breads and the soda/cola/pop /fizzy drinks. It was always cans of Pepsi. Well I'm 47 now, many long miles away from being that kid/teen, but the other day as I sat in the backseat as I was hanging with friends, I bought a can of Pepsi. I opened it and took it to my mouth. The smell and taste immediately shoved me back in time and I was 10 years old. 12 years old. 15 years... 17.... And I teared up because, for a little while there as I had my forehead against the door window watching the scenery pass by, it wasn't my friend driving. It was my daddy, alive, young and healthy in the driver's seat. That sip of Pepsi brought me back to a dear memory. I miss you so much, dad. Thank you for working so hard to be able to have given me, my 2 baby brothers, mom and you 2 weeks of vacation every summer. You were the greatest of dads. You did VERY good. Thank you for being my dad and loving me and letting me love you.

I- i have no words to describe how nostalgic, comforting, relaxing, and just downright mesmerizing this video is. Not to mention taking the time to film it all just for this purpose.. this is literally my new favorite video to help me fall asleep. I have bad anxiety and nothing relaxes me quicker than nighttime car ride simulations that remind me of my childhood night drives…. feels like I’m really there again. Everything about this video makes me feel so safe and peaceful- everything from the simple highway noise and sound of passing cars, the turn signal ticking, the twinkling city lights in the distance, just the idea of someone next to you driving you through the night. I agree with many others, it was my favorite way to fall asleep as a kid. Kind stranger, I cannot thank you enough for this. I’m so grateful to have found this video 🖤🖤🖤🖤
my dad and i used to go on long car rides when i was a kid a lot. shitty music, nice views, railways, lights, bridges, forests, animals out of nowhere crossing the road, little stops for snacks when i got carsick. he's the only driver i felt truly safe with. i still feel bad for being ashamed when he drove me to school in the mornings, because the car was old and not a "nice" one. now i don't think we'll ever be in the same car ever again. i really miss our rides and i miss him. so thank you, videos like that make me feel comfortable and bring back nice memories
nostalgia hits so hard 😭 I remember my dad used to carry me to my room when I slept in the car sometimes...now, they just wake me up and say "wake up hun, we've arrived". we all grew up so fast 😭
You know it's hard to believe when you wake up knowing that the once little passenger (always peeking to check the sceneries whether it be night or day) becomes the driver. Time moves forward. Our lives forever changed. But always remember. Only memories remain. I miss travelling with you grandpa.
how I feel with my parents. We used to drive from North Carolina to Wisconsin for vacations to visit my family at least once every year or two. The nights when I'd wake up in the middle of the night on those drives to see the dark mountains and hills of Kentucky, the illumination of car lights and street lamps, and the sound of semis beside us and back will always remain in my memories I wish to go back to.
The soothing sounds of a simple car ride is the purest form of serotonin for me, I cannot describe how happy I feel when I listen to it. It makes me feel comforted, warm, and so good. Thank you for uploading this masterpiece. It has really helped me with my sleep issues

Kinda saddens me that a lot of these comments talk about their dad when I never experienced the father thing.. but I’m extremely grateful for my mother ♥️
I doesn't matter how old I get, the sounds of a car give me such comfort. If I close my eyes, I can almost feel the vibrations of the car on the road. Thank you for posting this ❤😴
Everybody talking about their experiences when they were a child and sadly I can't relate to that, but for some reason I still like this video... It reminds me of the time I had to pick up my gf at her job and it was 2am and I drove her to our place while she slept... It's one of my happiest memories just like looking at her sleeping in the passenger seat
Like trusting life/universe/ God or something that it'll take you where you need to be. Never figured out what I loved about long rides home. Your comment made me think of this. Best wishes 😊🙏
The ways everyone describes how they counted the lights, thinks the white lines were being eaten by the car, the moon following us, is just so nostalgic and bittersweet. I want to go back where I had fun in a simple car ride back home.
I suffer from severe insomnia and I refuse to take sleeping pills, this is the only thing I’ve been able to sleep to the past 4 days, thanks man, fr thank you.

I was an Irish dancer for several years and whenever I would go out of town for a competition, by the end of the day, I was sleep deprived, covered in smeared makeup, half-stuck falsies, and the craziest post-wig hair. He's not dead or anything, don't worry, but he has an old car that he loves with his whole heart and sometimes we'll both jump in the car and he'll just drive for hours, it's one of my favorite times with him. We just sit there and listen to old rock n' roll and drive around. It's awesome.
This sounds awesome. My dad and I drive around on his motorcycle quite often and I'm doing my drivers license for one now because I love these kinds of rides. But also when we just sit in a car and talk or listen to rock.

You close your eyes and take a breath from your vaporizer as the music begins to play. You’ve listened to this album on numerous occasions, but this time the individual notes, rhythms, and melodies seem to resonate with a particular richness, intensity, and gravitas that together arouse your senses on a whole new level.

I am relieved that it helped.

*WE ALL ARE GOING TO BAZIL.*
This doesn't make me reminisce any childhood memories. This just makes me want to go on a long, quiet car ride with someone.
Edit:
For all of you asking if you can come, yes you can!
Edit 2:
We need some indie/alt song artists, drop them down below y'all
Edit 3:
So basically, we're gonna have a bunch of giant mom vans towing eachother, since there's so many of us.
I'd join you
Ain’t got no one to go with though
We should go together maybe ;-;
One day.
I call shot gun... Just kidding... I don't have one. =)
