I love it when Owen is with you magnet fishing! Loved it when he said "How dare you!" Thanks for sharing you Two!
I love the excitement 😍 his Owen has when fishing with his dad.
He has a great imagination, too, when guessing what some of the stuff
Owen is hysterical!!!!! Love a good sense of humor and it's better from a child!!!!!!!
Man don’t ever stop making videos
your a good dad! Including Owen in your magnet fishing adventures is the way kids turn out to be good and smart. That age kids absorb everything like a sponge. He'll always remember your time togethet
Yes those pieces of what you guys said looked like a roller coaster chain is actually part of a conveyer type system that the guys would guide the logs on and the conveyer type chain carried the logs up out of the river and the men would either stack them on land or guide them into the building for processing IE debarking and shaping the logs so they wer strait. Stay safe. Cheers.😊
Very cool 😎👍😎👍😎👍 video.
Such a great haul. Love that place.
I'll watch you over & over,, Lures are my favorite"
Stop pulling on the chain! You’re going to unplug the lake! 😂😂😂
All loging tools,Awesome finds $$$$
Great that you found a whole circular saw blade.
I hope you don't scrap those logging tools. They are an important part of history.
If he restores them he could use them.
Starting a logging operation, cutting logs, floating them down the river and buying a sawmill to process the trees?
Yes
@@oleradiodudea.m.4735 A good time will be had by all! He'll make a small fortune (if he starts with a large one).
Reminds me of the chains on roller coasters. LOL
30:01 Peevee head for turning logs. 42 years in logging and sawmills it is easy to identify things you are finding. Very interesting.
I really enjoy watching you magnet fishing so very cool
@ 3:33 that piece you found "looks like" some type of metal working hammer head . If you look closely at it there is a handle hole all the way through it from bottom to top ... My best guess ...
Love when you're son is with you. I hope you keep the lumber jack shuff
That big pointy thing is a boat hook for landing or pushing off a boat from a dock.
54:11 Pin for securing log rafts together.
Tyler, thanks for being company on a dreary day. All that lumber equipment reminded me of the lumberjacks that would us those tools while jumping from log to log. ❤
Owen has a great imagination. A train honker. Good one Owen!
Hello OWEN, LIL CASH👏👏😍Tylor’s good luck charm !
39:01 chain link for lumber deck used in sawmills.
15:12 chain links for your large chain 28:05 chain for a lumbermill "greenchain" This chain was used to transport freshly cut boards to be sorted in a lumbermill 32:49 Water pump impeller 52:51 Brake drum from a truck
Love it always fun to see
those chain pieces look like they are from a saw mill for hauling logs up a conveyer to the saw mill
These staples are actually each side or each side of links of chain they use a forge to melt weld together
Pickaroons are used to move lumber. Pike poles are used to move logs.
Yep you have gotta return to that juicy logging spot! Always a joy to find another one of your videos to watch! Cheers!
108:49 Box chain goes from large electric motor to a drive gear .
cleanest water I have seen in your videos
Check out a saw pit could have used those flat chains
Tyler, I think those square links you're finding are actually, part of a drag-line used to tie logs together like a floating raft loggers could stand on to get out further into the river system.
The large oval chain links were used with the large staples to hold a group of logs together.
32:52 Water pump impellor
Hello Cash, good luck, always😆
So sweet Owen chillin like a villain lol love your finds
Uncle you should use a broom to clean your truck instead of your hand so you don,t get hurt again ok I don,t want you to get hurt again because your my friend and your a great role model and mentor and tutor and teacher your smart and your bright your intlgent and kind and sweet and caring and loving and understanding your a great listner and out spoken and opinated and down to earth and fun to be with and your charming and witty and senstive and your on time and never late and your truthful and trusting and honest and faithful and loyal and consideret and respectable you have a great sense of humor and great personality and you have goals and dreams and aspirations and stars in your eyes and your stylish and fashionable and your generous and you would do anything for anyone ok
Also, definitely true Elizabeth I agree with you 100% uncle Tyler is one of the best uncles ever so so smart with the lot of knowledge on many things and many ways❤😁😁‼️🌺🌺
Looks like you landed on an old mill pond. The big staples and big rounded links were typically used on log rafts. As well as the pickeroons. There were some other pieces that looked like links to an old log feeder system that would pull logs out of the water and feed a sawmill. The one piece of a blade you found looks like one end of a saw blade that operated like a drag saw and the circular piece was small enough to be for a finish saw.
You guys could have a side line in vintage axes. X
Those staples were hammered into the end of each log and the chain was attached along with another staple to end of the log behind it. That’s how the logs were drug down the river. That’s why u found a staple in the end of that chain.
2:54 looks like a headlight adjuster
That 'picaroon' (pls forgive the spelling) might be hand-forged, making it a early piece of logging equipment and more valuable than something purchased from an industrial supplier.
Most of what you're pulling up looks to be part of the early American lumber industry. Have a local historian check out any tools you find in that section of the river -- Oconto was an important lumber town even before Wisconsin became a state and has a long, colorful history involving copper mining and smelting that goes back 10,000 to 12,000 years! Any copper tools you find may be prehistoric and worth their weight in gold.
You might also want to check out antique fishing lures -- collectors are paying amazing prices for them, so treat anything you pull up that's made of wood and shaped like an insect or small fish with great care. You might be able to buy a new boat on what comes out of that section of river!
32:48 impeller like you find in a water pump
Your son is quite the guy!!
The square looking chain is what lumber mills used to move lumber after it was cut. Known as a green chain.
14:57 heavy chain link.
You guys are funny I love it
There is a Wisconsin logging museum
The chain thing that Owen found looks similar to the chain thing you or Alex found the first day that Alex said looked like links on a roller coaster
Very good I live in Menomonie Wisconsin
Those chain links remind me of the old door chain links that helps raise the bay doors
I have a magnet too but not a big one but I love it 😊
I think them big giant staple things are for sticking in the log and running chains. Or ropes through them to keep the logs together When they float them down the river.if I'm not mistaken.
I love watching re mixes of your past videos. I can't wait & sure hope you start up again come spring. Are you going to be doing any ice fishing videos if the lakes freeze?
56:54 Pike pole head.
I think the ones you are calling staples is what loggers used to link the logs tog6
If you kept yourself some chain cutters, it would come handy. It’s a line of what you’re involved in when it comes to maggot fishing do you need extra tools like a long steel pole to search for your magnet underwater will help it jiggle it out long steel pole to push the boat against the sides, how about a claw I don’t see the claw too often but it sure can’t come in pretty pretty handy at times many many times hardly ever see it maybe once out of 22 times now it’s chain cutters … You do shovel to keep it clean shovel out the dirt that’s pretty smart👍🏼 And the horseshoe for good luck that’s pretty awesome👍🏼 So I guess that’s about it it’s a little Little umbrella to keep a lot of sun. That sure comes in a little Littlr handy.
have seen these types of chains inside Bobcat utility bucket~ type
ok, i gotta ask! being here in Oklahoma, our rivers and creeks are very prone to get out of their banks - flooding is a very real and common danger. but the rivers and canals in your videos all seem to have low banks and houses right up on the bank. do you not have flooding in Wisconsin that would make houses on the edge of the river in danger of being flooded or washed away? that being said, the scenery is so pretty and green, and i would really like to visit your state some time! but those houses on the bank and low banks are something! i enjoy your videos very much, i learn something from each one - keep up the good work! and that Owen is a cutie to boot!:)
It does flood around the spring time here but it never gets that horrible! Thank you so much for watching ❤️
And you can do anything you put your mind to ok your a great father and husband ok
Pull up "old logging tools" on your search engine
The old Mountain Dew can was white with a face of a guy with a corn cob pipe in his mouth. The commercial said, “Ya Hooo Mt. Dew” that a moonshine jug some had what appeared to have someone being shot at running to the OUTHOUSE. I don’t remember those 🤨
52:55 trailer brake drum
That chain looks like a chain for a manure spreader.
Clides dale or oxen shoes
Half of a pipe clamp
Aren't those big staple looking things what they call Log dogs.
Yes your boat with a piece of plastic on it believe it or not I recognize it's a headlight adjustment screw when you showed the threads on the end that was my clue
That piece of metal you found it was a u-shape with a two eyes on the ends you said you can put a pin through is called a shackle used to connect chains and cables to whatever brackets like Logs with log dog stabbed in the ends of them that you need to move
Hay Guys how about hitting the thumbs up button, it is free you know 😊 he is worth it ❤️.😊😊😊
Pick aron used to pull staples
Links are for stapling logs together for river transport
Log dog bud
You sound like shaggy from Scooby Doo
Can I have that log splitter
Drive chane.
What is Owen username on snake game
Don't worry, there ain't no soap in it
so where is the jackpot - linkbait
The flat chain is from a saw mill. I'll bet history will show you are on a saw mill site.
Shorter videos please.
There are hundreds and hundreds of videos on my channel, if you don’t like the long ones why are you watching them? I’m not going to stop posting long videos because there is an audience that appreciates them
