14:34 This interaction with Carl speaks alot why Shane couldn't let go of the group, he was too attached with Lori and Carl, he had the feeling he was their protector, and to a man that means everything, and seeing Carl step up for what he thinks it's right really made him proud. Good scene.
And also keeping Carl on the right path. Shane was focused on survival... but he wasn't a bad guy. He knew Rick's heart was in the right place but he began to border on delusion. Their wanting to see Sophia alive was just their want. He knew Sophia was bit and it was only a matter of time.
Shane could have been like a lone wolf mercenary who was hired by the saviors but wasn’t loyal to them. Since leaving the farm he functions as like a morally neutral person but in the war he joins ricks group because he wants to protect Judith, who he believes to be his biological daughter but after disputes with Rick it leads to the same result; Rick having to stab him over leadership disputes regarding dealing with the saviors
Everybody says Shane would’ve been good to have on Rick’s side when they first met Negan but let’s be honest Shane would’ve definitely been a Saviour 😂
I think an alternative reality where Shane leaves in season two instead of being killed by rick and then shows up again in season seven as a savior would be awesome
I think both of you are wrong. He may be crazy but he's not a bully that likes to take from others. Why would he join the savior when he loves Carl and Rick? You don't understand Shane's character. He's a much better person than that.
At the end of the day Shane was the one who could drop his emotions to protect what was right in front of him. He wasn’t a bad guy he was a SURVIVOR Lemme tell u somethin’
Shane is the most important character in the show's entire history, Rick is the main character but Shane was a step ahead of the curb He really did want to keep the group safe but they're attempts to still be human interfered with that Back then we used to see shane as crazy but rick got worse than shane even becoming like him in season 5 with alexandria but I think we all could agree Lori didn't make things any easier quite the opposite if anything always putting things in shane and rick's head pitting them against each other, I don't blame the actress not at all it was the writers who decided drama was more important than logic and survival If there's anything we could take from this is to prioritize safety over emotion
8:31 Man, I don't know why but I laughed so hard at this scene. The PT-BR dubbing made Shane talk in a funny way when he said ''Where I see Daryl almost today for a doll'', he did it in such a funny way that I couldn't help myself. LMAO
I feel like Shane truly did care about everyone, but it was the combination of Lori getting into Rick's head plus none of them handling this situation like adults plus Lori screwing with Shane's emotions definitely sent him over the edge until he had no humanity or self control left.
The thing about Shane is every crazy act he ever made he always had serious remorse on his face afterwards or just before doing it but he knew it had to be done and after making so many tough decisons it really set him apart from everyone. Shane also wanted Rick to kill him at the end thats why he never shot at Rick and asked him to "raise your gun" he wanted to bring out the guy he knew he needed to be. Shane didnt wanna be apart of the group anymore but even tho he loves lori he cares about rick like a brother still and gave the last bit of his life to make Rick start to crack open his potential to survive in the new world.
Shane wasn’t a villain. He’s exactly the type of man that is needed to survive in the immediate apocalypse. All he wanted was family loyalty and those he loved to be safe. He was willing to do things that are totally reprehensible in our world but in a world overrun with flesh eating freaks he is doing what has to be done. Protecting his tribe at all costs. The show eventually shows that he is right but having Rick become Shane when they reach Alexandria
Like I keep saying, I wish Shane got Rick's part and Rick got Shane's. Shane looks, acts ,( in the episodes he was in) stronger and smarter than Rick was. They totally screwed up with how they face the main part to Andrew Lin. And not Jon B
He was the absolute wrong type of man. He cannot cooperate with anyone who has different ideas or read the room. You really think season 5 Rick would've done any of that shit in Alexandria if he didn't know his group was behind him all the way? Shane had the right ideas, but he was never rational. He was too emotionally immature to truly handle the apocalypse.
Alright! you redid the shower scene I LOVE it! along with alot of other stuff! Very Good! Best walking dead season ever! well kind of! As far as Shane Walsh goes "let me tell you something!" My last favorite scene he had when he was on fixing up that observation post talking about fixing ricks sink. This was some real good stuff man good job! Thanks!
Honestly Shane was one of my favourite characters, he was a true survivor, yeah he did some pretty bad things but in this world good and bad don’t matter, however the only crucial thing thing you need to truly survive is also your humanity, which unfortunately for Shane, he had none left and he let his jealousy and anger towards Rick get him killed, like he just pushed and pushed Rick to be the leader he wanted. I wish Shane could’ve come to his senses in the end and saw what Rick became after his death and before Negan, the leader he wanted him to become. Shane and Rick would’ve been a truly unstoppable and invincible duo
I always find it funny the scene where he's helping andrea clean her gun he says "it's a limited capacity" - lol yeah as opposed to what??? Infinite ammo?????
12:37 Shane is the only character that I'm sure would kick Daryl's ass, a shame they discarded him so soon, he and Andrea had a lot of potential for a future role, who else thinks the same as me?
21:00 "You can't be the good guy and expect to live anymore." Shane Walsh "I'm not the good guy anymore." Rick Grimes Shane should have listened to Rick when he said that. He'd still be alive but Shane underestimated Rick.
In all honesty, I think Shane was just confused but determined in keep his people safe. Lori f**ked with his mind by constantly giving him mixed signals (e.g., pushing him away and then warming up to him) that he began to see Rick as an obstacle between himself and Lori & Carl
2:09 that wasn't a Shane moment And also I'd like to point out that Shane 100% felt terrible about shooting Otis u can see it on his face and just the way he always brings it up. People that think Shane was a monster did not rly understand him at all since he wasn't a monster he was a hot head and unfortunately turned emotionally unstable. Still my fav character by far
Killing Otis changed him, and he felt the need to think what he did was necessary and continues to believe so. Lied to others to prevent them seeing him as a monster. Those that calls him a monster are ironically right despite not knowing the real reason. Shane know this himself, just refused to think that way and tried to excused himself out of it.
@@merimkastrat5846 well in that case wouldn't Rick be a monster as well and Shane did feel bad about what he did but he also realized he was able to make hard calls. Him looking in the mirror was awesome. Look at his face at first he's shocked then accepts the fact he's able to do the hard things. I don't think he's a monster but I think he was driven by rage near the end. But he did almost come back but Lori said the baby might be his and that she did love him which fucked him up. Either way u wanna see it Shane was 100% right survival wise and was one of if not the most important character on the show besides Rick
@@trizard3940 Rick knew he was a monster in later seasons, all he can think of was to keep everyone alive. Unlike Shane, he didnt kill his own group just to selfishly survive. Shane did, and he realize that mistake and was desperate to make excuses of his own actions, believing what he did was the right think to do. And the fact he got overly jealous of Rick with Lori made him even more insane. Also yes, in terms of survival he made the right call. Problem was he evolved too quickly, and he intends to harm others if means for his plans to be in motion. He also almost attempting to kill Rick, which he had no reason to do that. Dale saw it.
@@merimkastrat5846 true. But I didn't consider Otis a part of the group. Rick and Shane just arrived and Hershels family were still a complete separate group they had not made an alliance yet. So Shane did kill Otis but he didn't do it out pure selfishness considering he offered to be left behind and let Otis live. But him being involved with Lori has no excuse and that was his biggest problem.
I get it, Shane got jealous because he loved Lori and thought he had her because Rick was dead. I understand that struggle. But when they started to ignore the one man that was trying to lead for the world they lived in they sealed their fate.
Shane was a great character but a very loose cannon. The barn scene when he goes off on one and finds the girl as a walker was a shocker. Even my jaw dropped.

One thing's for sure. Shane wouldn't have put up with the Governor's nor Negan's shit.

He really did want to keep the group safe but they're attempts to still be human interfered with that
Back then we used to see shane as crazy but rick got worse than shane even becoming like him in season 5 with alexandria
but I think we all could agree Lori didn't make things any easier quite the opposite if anything always putting things in shane and rick's head pitting them against each other, I don't blame the actress not at all it was the writers who decided drama was more important than logic and survival

There needs to be a whole other series in an alternate turn of events where Rick dies and Shane leads the group.

8:31 Man, I don't know why but I laughed so hard at this scene. The PT-BR dubbing made Shane talk in a funny way when he said ''Where I see Daryl almost today for a doll'', he did it in such a funny way that I couldn't help myself. LMAO

Shane’s presence in this scene was daunting.
lmfao
I miss shane man
I feel like Shane truly did care about everyone, but it was the combination of Lori getting into Rick's head plus none of them handling this situation like adults plus Lori screwing with Shane's emotions definitely sent him over the edge until he had no humanity or self control left.
They are in the woods they are in the RV 😂😂😂 Shane was something else man.He really had season 11 mentality in season 2
let me tell u sumthin man every scene Shane is in is golden
His only mistake was loving too much. He even loved his friend's wife.
Rick was my favorite character but man we needed someone like Shane in this show
Shane my boy
I fucking miss Shane mannnnn
Same
Man imagine the unstoppable duo of murder jacket Rick and this Shane would’ve been
“Why’d you wait till now to say anything? I got my brother’s stash.” 😂 love you daryl
Gave the main part,I meant to say

I mean Hershel’s gun has infinite ammo🤫
12:37 Shane is the only character that I'm sure would kick Daryl's ass, a shame they discarded him so soon, he and Andrea had a lot of potential for a future role, who else thinks the same as me?
Ya I always think what would have been with him still alive
Couldn't agree more, I felt like him and Andrea were better suited anyways and andreas better looking, I don't get why they killed him off so soon
Well the show did better than the graphic novels because Shane died very early in the novels but in the show they kept him around for much longer.

Hell nah he wouldn’t Daryl would beat the hell out of him you see how much he presented him self in the later seasons

"You can't be the good guy and expect to live anymore." Shane Walsh
"I'm not the good guy anymore." Rick Grimes
Shane should have listened to Rick when he said that. He'd still be alive but Shane underestimated Rick.
This is the reason why seasons 1 - 3 are peak TV
In all honesty, I think Shane was just confused but determined in keep his people safe. Lori f**ked with his mind by constantly giving him mixed signals (e.g., pushing him away and then warming up to him) that he began to see Rick as an obstacle between himself and Lori & Carl
Shane was massively ahead of the curve when it came to that world, he became in 5 minutes what it took rick 5 seasons to become
“Got anymore than a damn screwdriver” 😂😂😂
Can we just acknowledge what a f’n great actor John Bernthal is !!! Thanks xx
Take a shot every time you hear “lemme tell you somethin” or “lemme ask you somethin”
2:09 that wasn't a Shane moment
And also I'd like to point out that Shane 100% felt terrible about shooting Otis u can see it on his face and just the way he always brings it up.
