    I watch this video and I couldn't understand why he didn't use the ultra blend option as this is specifically designed for fibrous fruits and vegetables. He just used the stop/start button. I use ultra blend for a smoother consistency. For me the comparison wasn't done on an equal level plain.

    First off let me say thank you for investing your time in all these videos. They are much appreciated. Having said that, and you know there's always gonna be the "one guy" in the crowd, in this particular video you measured everything equally but you forgot one thing. If I'm not mistaken you're using a Nutri Ninja Auto IQ which has a 1000 watt motor that runs at 21000 RPMs as opposed to the Nutribullet Pro which has a 900 watt motor and runs at 25000 RPMs. I think they're both 1.2 HP. I think the Nutribullet Pro runs about $99 and you can find the Nutri Ninja Auto IQ for around the same if not cheaper. In my opinion that's pretty damn impressive that the lower wattage motor on the nutribullet did better. Maybe we should be looking at RPMs rather than wattages and all those fancy little buttons when we buy these things. I think a more even comparison would be the Nutri Ninja pro vs the Nutribullet Pro. Both 900 watts but I think the RPMs are still the same as above. Actually I think you did that one a while back though. Anyway, just wanted to point that out. I myself have a Nutribullet. The original 600 watt one and I love it. I gotta say though, the Ninja does beat the Nutribullet on crushing ice. It would be nice to see the Nutribullet be able to make some nice snowy stuff like the ninja but for me, right now it's not a big deal. Until my kid asks me for a friggin snow cone. :-) Thanks again for doing this for us.

    I like taking a minute to chop up what I am using and use a tomato for extra juice. I take apple cider vinegar and since I don't like diluting my stomach acid with water when eating I simply put the drink I make with apple cider vinegar in for the liquid and the vinegar and tomato gives it a nice flavor. It you get chunks then divide the ingredients and blend two cups instead of one.

    When you blended with the ninja why didnt you use ultra blend?

    • @gbxx6692
      @gbxx6692 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, ultra blend would have done the start and stop cycle to let the CLUMPS get down to the blades over and over again. you can use any ordinary blender if you just want to start and stop with one cycle. I looked at both blades. I would have to say that the nutri bullet has a sharper blade, that's why if you blend for a LONG time in a cycle it will be through to the bits easier. The AUTO IQ has a different technique IF you select that button to get to "SMOOTH". Sometimes loading certain ingredients in a certain order helps as per instruction manual.

  • @mbjac

    I cut the centre stems from the kale, and using just the leaf cut offs soak them in a little warm water and then transfer to the blender with all the water it soaked in with it, add what ever else you add and blend. the kale reduces to liquid no gippy chunks...

      Late to the party, but yes, certain foods, like beets that thicken the smoothie for example, need a little pause time to settle down towards the blades. If it spins continuously, the top stays on top and the bottom stays at the bottom. The auto iq pauses during operation to let things settle so it can mix more consistently. I don't know if the machine senses the consistency, but it doesn't matter either way. This video is a clear demonstration in blaming the product for user error.

  • @teamjesus7087

    I now own the Ninja. It's a way better machine. The NutriBullet is built like crap ! Trust me. The bearings and seals will wear out in no time leaking a black residue on your food. Very poor engineering. I went through three nutribullets to learn this. Every time that's what happened. You are supposed to pulse the ninja. It has Special Operations instructuctions for that machine. If it's too thick just keep pulsing it it will break down evenly, plus a little roughage is good for you . If you still cant handle that then just run your smoothy through a nut bag. It only takes a second to do.

    P.S. why would someone spend $600.00 on a blender just to pulverize kale save yourself a few hundred dollars and use a different green, I mean really how much better can kale be.

    I don' think you are doing it correctly. I have a 200 watt personal blender and when I use it to make a smoothie, I first blend the greens (kale, etc.) with water to get it all blended and then I add my other ingredients. It always works and the greens are completely blended. I also have a vitamix, but the personal blender is more convenient when I want to blend and go.

    It might be a good idea to keep your hands and face away from those vacuum containers. Why? Look at the bloody photos on the TH-cam videos about the "NutriBullet lawsuit".

    If he had done it on the correct setting which is on either the top or bottom right hand side, Ninja would have easily done it. Blame the user NOT the Ninja

    How old are these two? I mean I'm just curious which one do you use the most? The one that you use more often might have a duller blade I think.

    • @ONTHERADAR1
      @ONTHERADAR1  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nich I use the Ninja all of the time. The Ninja blade is sharp. The Nutribullet blade is made to be dull. I think it was just too much kale for the Ninja. I use smaller portions for my smoothies and it blends up well. I tried to go extra for the video an it may have been too much but then again the NB blended it ok with the same amount.
