@@CamdenBowen really looking forward to this, I’d imagine the video would have the potential to do rather well because people like seeing shit break lol
I suspect the surfaces will partially melt then start gluing together before being completely torn apart. Is there some way it may be improved by using inserts of a more durable material without making it too hard to manufacture.
Ive been trying to prototype a small clutch for RC vehicles for awhile. I started pouring silicone molds in order to make resin/sand composites for thd clutch pads, it all failed. Im going to try your hotglue method.
well, bike clutches are paper, so should be fine :-) Plus more spring force makes a huge difference
If I make a new one to mate to an engine or so, I'll definitely use more springs and see if that helps from slipping
Now, to be able to design a clutch to make a go cart from an old lawnmower engine would be cool if it would last more than once around the track.
I was thinking of putting it onto something eventually
i have a centrifugal clutch gokart, and its the most common type of gokart clutch behind the CVT.
Unless it's slipping like crazy it should hold just fine, no slip would mean no heat or wear
@@CamdenBoweni think its gonna melt away
Wow someone actually did it, id like to see this attached to a gearbox with 5 gears or so and a toyan engine!
Me too! I think it could be possible!
@@CamdenBowen im kinda wondering how the gearbox would hold up or if you would have to use metal
@@floridamangonwild rc test flight and Edward page both have videos on the topic of 3d printed gear longevity and high speed testing
@@tmn2813 with an actual combustion engine tho? Ive seen theyr videos

i think you should run fluid in there because it wont be long before it all melts together
When he said "yeehaww"
I felt that
Great video!
I have a suggestion could make a video about how the liquid rotary engine works and where the air goes
I like your videos, they are creative.
Try destruction testing it! Put the clutch in the vice, hook the shaft to a drill, and go until it melts
Really good Idea actually! it's been collecting dust this whole time anyway...

@@CamdenBowen what happened to the video of you doing it?
3d printed clutch out out of entirely 3d printed parts
Man whipped out a klx 140 with missing plastics

In truth I got it with plastics, but I couldn't get them to fit back on after taking them off so I could fix it ahah
@@CamdenBowen dude I had the same problem with my brothers 140 but such a great bike always starts
It would pair well with fluid coupling and if the clutch was operated hydraulically by a pump and a valve body.

Motorcycle has a wet multi plate clutch with friction plates and slipper plates the springs are mounted on the basket of plates. But Awesome.
Nah, my ducati has a dry clutch.
@@jeromerox9999 And it was noisy too.
finally someone actually did this
It was one of those projects that's been on my mind for a while lol
My prediction before the end of the video is that the friction will slip and you'll smell a lot of burning plastic.
but will this stop any, hypothetically, gamma ray tanks? 🙂
Facts Jacob mix
I could have swore you made a video on like destroying it. I'm thinking TH-cam removed it.
I actually unlisted it, I didn't think the video was very good but I'm thinking of adding it to a playlist of unlisted stuff
LETS GO
The hot glue is going to melt
Broooo, You should put it in a Bike.
Where's the 4s engine?
Still in the works, I decided to make a new project in between
I love gorillas
