There are so many people in the comments saying this meal n this video is depressing. You're right, it is. There are thousands upon thousands of people without housing and impovershed and without family or friends or any companionship that eat like this every year on the holidays. A lot of homeless people eat less than this or next to nothing on Christmas, and go to sleep in the cold. It's nice sharing gifts, ham n mac n cheese, n love during the holidays with your loved one's but it is always necessary to remember that there are people living in this world that cannot afford what's deemed as the norm on holidays. There are people struggling. This is real and humbling for many of you to watch because it's so easy to forget that this is the reality for so many people, especially when you're just having a good time celebrating in your own way. Thank you Ben. Not a lot of people will show this side of christmas/the holidays and especially not on the internet where we're pressured to show only the good parts.

Besides the fact that we don't celebrate christmas in Turkey, as a college student I can relate to having a solo dinner hundreds of kilometers away from my family.
That looks like the perfect meal to have on a budget. It still looks fulfilling and it’s all about feeling satisfied after a meal. Even if you can’t have a nice meal during the holidays, it’s all about being with your loved ones and having a great time.
