HELLO from chihuahua mexico, yes is a state in Mexico, border with Texas and new Mexico, ok I just want to say, thank you for the video and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
I have a D4, the pipes go to the transmission cooler, the pipes don't look to hot from your picture. The pipes are connected on the D4 with hoses, this also gives the lines a little movement. the hydraulic ends like you said have have the o-rings.
Excellent Idea! I was thinking of making a mandrel to "un-swage" the fitting, after burning out the hose. At $350.00 for the replacement I figured I'd get creative on the old one somehow. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have the same loader. Man. Love running that thing although mine s very wore out. Hasn’t been run for several years now and I’m attempting to get it going. So under the floor is the tranny check and fill tube. Do you know what fluid it takes? Being hyrotranny or straight tranny fluid? Thanks mike
Oh yeah I love it too. Know the fluids by heart. SAE 30 in every case but the engine. I use Cat Hyd fluid in the side case but this is a military spec machine. Unstoppable. Oreilly’s premium universal in the green bucket will run the whole machine👍. Check those filters bud
Great advice and I’ve heard a piece of old radiator hose works similar. They make Kevlar sleeve material also. I wonder why they don’t recommend that at the store when you bring in a hose that clearly had a rubbing issue?
Man Time... Milton Caterpillar is my go to dealer for Cat parts. They've always been fair and honest with me.
I generally run the dozer up onto blocks, planks, etc., to give you more room under the dozer.
yes, a lot easier

I like the Tommy Boy reference! “Right in this region here”.
save your ends to make plugs to seal off your system, that's what we did back at our place of work, comes in handy.

I have a caterpillar 941b. What fluid are you using in transmission/ final drives?
I use 30wt. That’s what the manual calls out. 5gal buckets of Cat brand from the local Cat place
I wrap my hoses that are susceptible to chaffing with 2 inch firehose..

Look up High first for leaks
