My Great Grandfather was a mechanic in the 96th Aero Squadron US bomber group. The French gave them Breguet 14 planes. He got shot down going out to get spare parts from other downed aircraft and luckily survived the war.
Very good footage. Now someone needs to add some narration explaining what we are looking at. For instance, is this a French or American bomber squadron as both nationalities used this aircraft?
The bombing squadron from the Marne area was french, but some american was assigned to the 5° bombing squadron. Seems Breguet 14 was use from the US Army Air service after 1918

Those men were fearless , Take a lot of nerve to fly those Clap Traps , And with High Explosives attached no less !
