This is really just the countdown of the show and the Cartoon Network bumpers/commercials, but still cool. Funny enough, there's a copyright claim for City of Embers (as if anybody still remembers that movie). I can't say much though, cause I was required to watch it for a sociology class.
Thank God for Grandmas, cause I owe it to mine for even having this tape.

I was there when the show officially premiered included the countdown and counting down to it with my mom and dad and cousin. This is one of my all-time favorite shows more than ten years later.
I'll never see the 2003 and 2008 Clone Wars as a Disney show. It'll always be a Cartoon Network show to me
I vividly remember waiting for The Clone Wars to air on TV that night. Here I was thinking it was the film airing on TV only to find out it's a show. I swear it was a Ben 10 Episode that aired before but I could be remembering wrong.

Same here, man those were the days. I even still have the Target pamphlet where they were advertising the toys that they were selling (the one with a holographic cover of a red clone trooper) back in 2008.
Toonami content became You are here. When Fried Dynamite ended, all of its content moved to Har Har Tharsdays.
I remember sitting on the couch, with Domino's pizza, shaking with excitement when this was premiering.
this unlocked so many flashbacks, I feel like I walked into a time machine and sat next to 10yo me and watched as my dad came to watch Star Wars with me
I also remember the season 2 premiere. The explosion at the end is something i won't ever forget.
I was there.
I remember me and my dad sitting down and watching this premiere when I was 10, leading to watching every upcoming episode with him from there on out.

Next month in September 2021, Cartoon Network will air the first six Skywalker Saga movies and Rogue One.

I just now discovered this and wow, the ads go pretty hard. Tie-ins to MySims games, tie in for a big Walden Media movie, two trailers for movies that won't come out for a YEAR. They made sure watching Clone Wars was the biggest deal ever.

I remember that show when I was 11. And during the "You Are Here" Friday night block, the Cartoon Network's on-screen logo bug used the same thing as the ones from Cartoon Network HD logo, but it's all gold instead of normal silver version. The silver version was first used on CN's HD feed in October 2007 during the Fall 2007-era.

I remember that day when the first two episodes aired I was there before the first 2 episodes could air the 2005 movie Zathura had to be aired first

Edit: I was gonna also add that there was a commercial that reoccurred during this airing that we thought was scary, then I read the description and I remember now it was the city of ember commercial. Wow

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you uploading this tape. I too recorded this entire night of TV and has been ingrained in my mind of one of the best nights of television. I am doing a youtube series covering how The Clone Wars show evolved with its audience and how the presentation of the series was so warm and amazing and this is exactly what I needed for my season 1-2 videos. Oh wow, that sounds awesome. Yeah this night was a huge night for me too. Shoot I remember all of us shouting out the countdown lol. I would be more than happy if you used this footage, and hopefully you might be able to upscale it somewhat. I know when I posted this one I just uploaded it as is, but I've been toying with different methods lately.
Also, if you need any help with the video I might be able to provide some assistance. I recently graduated with a degree in broadcast media and honestly using it for something would be better than nothing at this point lol

A part of my series covering TCW is to talk about how Cartoon Network as a broadcasting network made the show and environment so unique and memorable, so your clips will be the direct showcase of that. I’d love to see your perspective and maybe after I get my first episode done (covering the release of the theatrical movie) I can have some concrete questions for you!

@@AbsurdJANGO One question I already have is, have you gotten copyright claims on these type of bump videos? Like does the VHS factor make it so the content system cant recognize music and clips as copyrighted?

Probably about 8 hrs or so, but alot of it is different stuff. Like the second part of this that I uploaded had a recording of Cartoon Networks Thumb Wars premiere.

@@AbsurdJANGO Kind of cool you recorded this on VHS. Too bad it'd be copyright to share the whole episode on TH-cam. I'd love to just see an entire Clone Wars Episode on VHS. I was born in 2001 so a few years before VHS died out but I do have some nostalgia for VHS even though they're not relevant in 2022 anymore.
@@alexslusher16 yeah I was born in that age right before it died out (late 1995). My grandmother refused to get a DVR so she recorded stuff on VHS tapes instead lol. We use to laugh about it back then, but the good thing about it is now we have years worth of content that can be converted. Guess it all worked out in the end haha. I do have two full broadcasts converted if you are interested. I just recorded "Lair of Grievous" and "Defenders of Peace" last Friday.
Oh, narrator of CARTOON NETWORK. Thought you meant Clone Wars.
