Had the same issue with the gimble. restarted the drone and did the the tuning. the main issue there is that the button inputs for tunning seem to be delayed/sometimes unresponsive so its a bit of a battle to get it back in to position but you can do it. now that i have it back im just not gonna touch it automatic button seems unresponsive too...maybe an app issue?
Overall not a bad drone .. exept for the gimbal. Good video quality, and range estimated between 3km and 5km. For this price .... worth to try if you can catch a perfect one. I made the gamble on a Potensic Atom... and had no worries what so ever. But i guess i will buy one of these just for fun.
Hey Friend. That doesnt look like 5km to me visually (judging by the number of trees you pass & approximation of terrain). Can I suggest measuring the distance between 2 known landmarks on google maps or something reliable and flying between them to confirm the margin of error for distance measurement? Do you still have the drone?
Yep. Bought it from Aliexpress. They sipposedly have buyer protection. I sent them a request for refund and send them a video of the gimbal and so far they denied my refund.

if it dont conect the phone with usb cable to controller its not a real Max 1 S (5km) version !!!
