- Oh Man Y'all. I hope my blade is to big. It's an 80" so hopefully I can find a smaller one. The tension is all the way up but I need more. I might be able to cut a thicker spacer to bring the tensioner up a little. That might work.
This has been an awesome adventure but I feel bad that I let Y'all down.
I won't give up on Her, I just need to stop now and gather myself.
I'm bummed out but hey, She looks good huh???
Thanks for following along. - บันเทิง
What a cool bandsaw and you did it justice with the restoration. You'll find the blade one day that will work, it runs and that is the biggest challenge. I hate you are missing a couple of the original knobs, I hope you can find those one day as well. Awesome job, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for being positive about this.
I think I’m going to throw in a 1/4” shim under the riser plate. That’s all I really need. I looked up a smaller blade (78”) but I’m not sure that’ll even work. The blade that came with the saw was 80” so I know I must’ve done something wrong. I’ll do some investigating after work. We will figure this thing out.
Thanks for following along.
We’re not done yet.
It ain’t over till the fat lady sings !! It runs, it looks great ! You will get the blade and get the kinks worked out, hangin there……do you have a part number? Don’t give up the Ship 👍👏😎🇺🇸 Rick
Oh I’m not giving up Sir, just checking for light leaks.
We will get this old Gal squared away, just gotta figure out a way. Thanks for your inspiring words.
I don’t have a parts number.
I think if I slap in a 1/4” shim in top of that riser, I should have just enough tension on the blade. I’ll do some investigating after work today. I know there’s a solution to every problem.
Thanks for following along on this mission First Sergeant. Nothing is over.
