@@kneelbeforezak Pretty sure Arkham was cancelled. I'd rather have the cancelled GCPD cop show about a corrupted cop that seeks redemption, or another vilain show like Scarecrow.
@@khyrianstorms Yes, Gotham was ass. It was pitched as a show focused on Jim Gordon's early years as a cop in Gotham and focusing on the grim corruption that is omnipresent in the city in a fairly grounded fashion and what we got instead was a show that started to focus more and more on supervilains and a 15 years old Bruce Wayne fighting on the streets as a vigilante. Put in a lot of cringe in the dialogue and the overall writing and cheap vfx and you have Gotham. What I want is what Reeves pitched, a grounded and gritty quality show focused on a GCPD cop set in a world where Batman is already an established figure in his own movies and is a presence felt behind the scene in the show which is part of that world.
I’m eerie on seeing this iteration of Joker. Matt Reeves has the right idea of combining all of the traits from the other iterations of Jokers that made them great. Ledger’s Joker persona, the vat of acid origin story. The (look) of Barry Keoghan as Joker just wasn’t iconic from the sneak peak we got in my opinion. The realistic idea of being warped by acid was clever, but his face was just way too puffy. He has plenty of time to change or alter his design, so i’m not too worried. The performance by Barry wasn’t bad. What can really win me over is the laugh, if he can pull a laugh like ledger or Joaquin Phoenix’s in how it was similar to Mark Hamill’s.
@@Mikey-em8hs Yes, I could like him to be a side character in part II and maybe a real menace in part III. But in my opinion it's just too soon to bring him forefront now. That being said, if the story is great I'd be the first to admit my mistake. Even if I don't really believe he'll be the main antagonist yet.
@@turrell75 Gunn was concurrently writing Superman and Peacemaker and planning out the entire DCU, then concurrently directing Superman and writing then directing Peacemaker. All the while doing casting, hiring directors, writers, picking out projects to do etc.
it would actually be cool if there was a villain show that expands gotham inbetween each movie
Pretty sure that's the plan. The arkham show will drop after part 2

@@Nevad25 Honestly, do we need another GCPD show if we already had Gotham?

Maybe they can give us a Catwoman show before the next movie
I find this funny because when james Gunn was directing Superman, on the weekends he directed an episode of peacemaker s2 🤣
Exactly! Gunn has a great work ethic and can juggle multiple projects.
Matt reeves is a genius
Thank you! I hate doing multiple things at the same (I can). But I would very much prefer to finish thing 1 before starting thing 2.
Will Barry Keoghan be coming back as Joker and have a bigger role in The Batman 2 We need another Batman and Joker moment it's been too long
Batman got more villains then joker. Who don’t need joker in every batman trilogy or movie.
Do we really tho ? We had plenty of Joker already, let some others great villains shine first
@@FoxJofEvery Batman needs a Joker. As long as he isn’t the main villain, we should have him as a little side character

The reason I brought this up is because of the dark knight rises and no more crappy villains iconic villains that make big impact on the big screen

Matt Reaves sucks i’m glad he didn’t direct Penguin
he literally directed The Batman. the same movie that The Penguin branched off... ☠
