Here's a tip I do. I'm a stickler on not tasting anything with raw eggs after a coworker was hospitalized with salmonella from tasting raw cake batter, so don't add my eggs until very last. That way I can taste dressing to make sure the sage (or poultry seasoning like some use) is perfect. Then I add my beat up eggs to mix in. Then put in baking dish to bake. My coworker was deathly sick from tasting that raw cake batter and said her doctor said never again taste raw eggs.
Actually, if using beaten raw eggs , when you add hot brooth to mix your dressing, the eggs are being cooked 😂, there should be no scare of getting sick ?, however, you do what is SAFE for you , 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Just set that whole pan in front of me, give me a can of cranberry sauce, a fork & spoon and I would be SET, Thanksgiving complete!!! I LOVE cornbread dressing & this looks delicious!
I make fantastic stuffing, regular or cornbread. What you just made, I guarantee that is some top shelf cornbread stuffing. 💯 Anybody in their right mind should try your recipe.
Looks great. My mom would put gizzards in her dressing along with chicken. Would that be ok? And she would boil the eggs cut them and then put into the dressing would that make any difference as compared to you mixing into it. I must say your recipe looks great. Oh can the drippings from the turkey also be added to dressing too keep it from being dry. TY
The uncooked egg is what make the dressing stick together, so I wouldn't boil it first. And yes I add the gizzards and the chicken to the dressing. If you follow the recipe, it won't be dry at all and the chicken stock is what helps keep it moist.
Where are you from because that sounds like the recipe my mother from Alabama would make. She'd also boil the giblets from the turkey and put that in as well. Thats an old school dressing recipe you shared.
Why add the bag mixture to your cornbread? I guess because you add all the extra in with the cornbread. I only use cornbread no stove top are bagged bread crumbs. You do not call this stuffing but you add the stove top and the other bag mixture.I think this is stuffing and not dressing. Everyone on you tube bring their so call dressing receipe but it is all stuffing. Sorry but I am calling it the way I see it being made. (STUFFING) Thank you for bringing your recipes to the viewers.
What in the world are you talking about? This woman knows the difference between stuffing & dressing. And WE normally make dressing. Stuffing is when you actually STUFF the mixture inside the bird. Hence the name, stuffing. Geez. I lost brain cells reading your post. Just real talk.
What ingredients you use in the dish does not determine whether it's stuffing or dressing. What you call it depends on where you are from. Most people from areas like the Northeast and West Coast states say "stuffing" while the South and Midwest states say "dressing." Some people say It also depends on what you're going to do with the dish---if you're going to put it inside the meat (chicken, turkey, etc.), it's stuffing. If you're just going to put it in a casserole dish or place it around your meat--it's dressing. I'm from Ohio and we say "dressing"--no matter where you put it. But most people will agree--it doesn't matter what you call it as long as it's DELICIOUS!!!
@@SweetGrannyBeas ok I didn't know I see everyone does it differently. Dressing is one of my favorite dish. But thanks for the advice am going to make one myself. Hopefully it turns out delicious as yours.

Do u ever use cream of celery and cream of chicken?
yes, i did this year and it was fantastic!!!
I Do , in place of eggs, 'COC' makes the dressing much softer moist, 😂😂😂❤❤❤
I normally add eggs last after i taste for flavor. Also its best if the cornbread is a couple days old.
yes sounds good
Looks good 👍 👌 😋
thank you
Omg can’t wait
It's going to taste great.
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYessss Ma'am!!!
The truth!!!
Yummy!
Yes indeed ☺️
@sweetgrannybeas I didn’t see where you used the chicken gizzard as listed in the ingredients
add it to the stock that you make first; boil it with the chicken
@sweetgrannybeas please indicate at that exact point you used the chicken gizzards. Thank you
you add them when you are cutting up the chicken to add to the mixture and you add them to the water to make the chicken stock.
Hey how are you doing? Need the recipe for cornbread dressing
should be listed in the comments...
I can’t find that exact cornbread mix what can i substitute with ?
You can use Martha White!!
any non sweet cornbread mix
I used the exact same recipe but no eggs!
ok, hope it came out well.
I wash my chicken in salt and vinegar u will be surprise how murky the water get and the chicken is nice and white chicken get clean
Thanks for the tip
Do you have to have the pepper and green onion for the chicken stock?
sure you can add that as well
So we wait 🙅
you can make it any time you want you know
❤
right back atcha
When I was young and into bodybuilding I used to eat a dozen raw eggs a day !
hhmmmmm
Why all boxed mixture? Granny didn't have those.
mine did...lol I make it just like she did; and it tastes amazing

Yes, your recipe looks amazing but I didn't see you using poultry season to your dressing why?
No need. The seasoning I use is enough.
Use vinegar to clean your chicken.
Thanks for the tip! but the boiling process kills any bacteria also
Why did you put in the raw eggs i remember my mom boil her eggs and then cutting them up into the mixture
no don't cook them first, the egg is like the glue that holds everything together

Why do use bay leaves
You use it in the stock, gives extra flavor. Try it.
I dont like chicken in my dressing...my mom never used it either..
I don't remember her adding the eggs.
You definitely do, but wait to the end so you can taste it as you go. The egg just helps to keep it together. One of the viewers gave me a tip!
Too much chicken bouillon, that stuff is salty.
we all have our own tastes; so salt to your liking.
That's what I said I know that's not granny's recipe 😂😂
Hot mess😂😂
no ma'am it's delicious!!! But you are welcome to make your own video and put it to the test!
