My husband told me he hated my dress the moment he saw me at our wedding.

It scares me when a bride spends all her time worrying about what the fiance wants, and completely ignores the dress that really made her smile with happiness. Loss of self leads to bad things in a relationship.

All the desses are beautiful, but she looked really happy in the second, maybe her husband-to-be just said she looked beautiful in a fitted dress because he wanted to compliment her, it doesn't mean he wouldn't like her in a dress she likes.
I was thinking about that based on a comment her friend made. Just because he loves the cleavage doesn’t mean he wouldn’t love a different style, especially if she looks as radiant and giddy as she did in that second dress. Hopefully. Also, did the fiancé think through the fact that all their relatives would be seeing this dress? In that third dress, their baby would think it was feeding time.
The second one made her light up. It’s classic and beautiful. Thought the 3rd dress was somehow odd. Shoulder caps on first one make her seem older. Go for dress 2. It made you happy.

We can't tell if his fiancé is controlling.. to me it sounds more as if he just told her his opinion and now she feels she needs to please him. She doesn't seem too confident, maybe even shows a codependency tendency idk

I think she gave herself away by worrying so much about what dress HE wants her in. If he really loves you, he will love ANY dress you choose! She'll spend the marriage trying to please him. And that gets very exhausting.

This is what post partum feels like. She's had more things to cry about than be happy. My heart goes out to her... she's fighting everyday. The fact that Jamie's opinion matters so much doesn't necessarily mean he's controlling. It could just be that she finds so much support in him that his "happy" means more than her own. If that's the case then I hope she confides in him about her dilemma and take him dress shopping next time!
the fact her friends said, “he complimented her in a fitted dress and now she’s zoning in on how she needs that dress” tells me he’s not controlling, but like you said, she’s putting his happiness before her own. hope she realizes her happiness is just as important!
He really isn't controlling. He is the most amazing man and he is my best friend. The editing has made it look like something it's not. I had a baby, wasn't feeling myself. I have always been a people pleaser, its not to do with him. My insecurity isn't due to Jamie, he could try and build me up all he wanted and it wouldn't have made me feel any better at that time.
It actually really upsetting to see someone you love being referred to as a red flag, because that is so far from what he is like.
Anyway, I went dress shopping on my own, so I could only deal with my thoughts on what the dress look liked. I looked and felt amazing in a beautiful dress that I chose all on my own.

It was very sad and telling when she said 'I've wanted to marry him for such a long time". I think that is why she is more interested in getting a dress that he will like her in rather than what she really wants. I hope that isn't telling of their future as husband and wife.
I hope her fiance isn't actually the controlling douchenozzle it kind of sounds like he might be. Hopefully he's just trying to be involved

I don’t like controlling partners. I feel sorry for this bride. She doesn’t care about what she likes. She cares about what her fiancé likes. Unfortunately I‘be seen it a lot that overweight women think they don’t deserve better due to lack of self-confidence, so they tend to compromise a lot when they find a man. They give up a lot to please their partners. Sad!

I hope Holly starts to love and respect herself instead of relying on her fiancé to make all of the decisions for her. Hopefully Holly will ultimately select a dress that she loves and no longer feels the need to get her fiancé’s approval. It’s not just his day, it’s the bride’s day too! Plus Holly is the one that will be wearing the dress for this wedding so the groom needs to relinquish control and trust his fiancée’s judgement. I do worry that if Holly doesn’t find her voice and become more assertive, self-confident, and full of self-love, this marriage will be doomed before it even begins. I wish this couple all the best. 💗 That second dress made Holly come to life! 💞
The first two dresses were beautiful, my favorite was the first dress (just my personal taste) but it was obvious when she lit up in dress two that and it was the perfect dress for her. I feel if she goes with #3 she'll be settling to make her fiance happy when in reality he would probably love her in anything she chose. Too bad she can't get two, princess for the ceremony and Beyoncé for the reception. I wish we knew what she picked!

The more fitted dress was too matronly on her; it aged her. Maybe if the fitted dress got rid of the cap sleeves it would look "younger," but I still think she should have gone with the princess dress. ❤️

The first two were slightly frumpy on her, but the last one was unbelievable, it showed her curves off perfectly, what a knock out. I'm actually a bit worried that her fiance is controlling and she has lost her confidence from it.

Update: I've watched this twice. On the second viewing I noticed something in the way the bride was talking. This woman sounds like she's been abused to the point of being broken down. It sounds like she gets no help of any kind at home, that opinions of her are over ridden. She needs to call off the wedding, and kick him to the curb.

What a beautiful girl! Looks great in every dress but my fav is the last one with one adjustment. I would bring the neckline to an off the shoulder with slightly wider sleeves kinda like a bit of a 50's look.
