I recently discovered the Charming Chaos Compendium album and became. Absolutely obsessed. Brainrot level "I need these songs like a fish needs water" obsessed, looping them over and over as one does. So you can't believe how pleased I was to see this song brand new, fresh, just released! This is such a genuine fucking message and I hate that I can relate to having years and years of just _not_ being truly happy... But, after so long... Happiness truly does feel good. It's almost overwhelming to take a look at yourself and realize that you don't hate yourself anymore. That you've defeated your self-hatred and just love now. Or at least tolerate. Happiness is so powerful. It can defeat and destroy all else if you let it. But people's hatred always seems to catch it at a roadblock. But... After chipping and hacking away for years at the horrid blockade that was my self-hatred, the light finally shown through. And it's an awesomely powerful thing to be able to fully, truly, with 100% certainty admit that you are happy.

I gotta say, I didn't have super high hopes for this since it came out right after The Tim Minchin Power Hour, which I didnt really like (just not my style of music) and I assumed it would have a similar vibe BUT HOLY SHIT THIS SLAPS SO HARD!! This is easily one of my favourite Chonny songs. I'm hesitant to label it *the* best since I've only just heard it for the first time and it hasn't yet had time to settle into my brain (plus I just suck at choosing favourites) but it should say something that I'm considering it. Especially when you consider that Chonny is one of my favourite artists of all time.

ok i know the first time i listened to this (and the first time i commented on it) was only like a day ago but seriously. i’ve been struggling a lot these last couple months, still am, but this song made me a lot more confident in myself, who i am, what i look like. i looked at myself in the mirror yesterday and for the first time in like, i wanna say 2 years, i felt genuinely happy with myself. nothing really changed, my body’s the same, i haven’t transitioned yet, i wasn’t wearing anything great, i just saw myself and i was happy with him. your music hasn’t miraculously lifted every problem with my life off me, but it’s made it more manageable somehow. thank you.

I gotta say, I didn't have super high hopes for this since it came out right after The Tim Minchin Power Hour, which I didnt really like (just not my style of music) and I assumed it would have a similar vibe BUT HOLY SHIT THIS SLAPS SO HARD!! This is easily one of my favourite Chonny songs. I'm hesitant to label it *the* best since I've only just heard it for the first time and it hasn't yet had time to settle into my brain (plus I just suck at choosing favourites) but it should say something that I'm considering it. Especially when you consider that Chonny is one of my favourite artists of all time.
