The song is about my own hyperspecific experiences as a gnc-prone cis guy, and while I obviously don't think this is a fair assumption, I have had many genuine instances (both irl and online) of people saying that no, I'm not actually a cis dude who dresses fruity, but I instead MUST be a trans woman in denial or disguise. To be honest, lots of the people who say that sort of thing are probably transphobes anyway... can't win with bigots I guess. So yeah, it's targeted not at some societal expectation that gnc clothing is more groundbreaking or progressive than being trans (again, that's just something I simply don't believe) but instead, targeted at the medium handful of people I've seen comment on ME specifically. But I hope that clears things up! I usually don't reply to comments but this is really important to me and I'd be incredibly disheartened if people thought I was being transphobic in a song specifically written to be about inclusivity and harmony! "Pinball Prison" by Puddles Pity Party, aka the singing sad clown from americas got talent, its the lyrics of "Pinball Wizard" by The Who over the music of "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash. Chonny's style is so fantastic and unique Ive been struggling to come up with songs that would be good to cover but I think I've found one. "Pinball Prison" by Puddles Pity Party, aka the singing sad clown from americas got talent, its the lyrics of "Pinball Wizard" by The Who over the music of "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash. Weirdly the ryme scheme and syalables fit absolutely perfectly, I can hardly imagine how Chonny could twist it to make it perfectly his own, it would alos be the most roundabout way of covering a song by his namesake which Im not sure hes done before
