That’s sad. They instead of throwing it away. There’s shelters. Homeless people they can use all this. Specially stuff with tags.

I'm a lil iffy about doing the whole dumster diving thing myself, but I find it so nice that you donate alot of those items so they don't go to waste.
Wipe the palettes down with Clorox wipes and get a spray bottle with alcohol and disinfect the shadows before you use them :)

The bras was an amazing find, I'm sure that whoever recieved them was so greatful, I don't get why they shop didn't even decide to donate them to shelters. Thank you!

My bigger brother really did that once and he got around 3 painting from it (No idea why they were throwing them out because their really good quality)

I work at ulta and the employees talk about dumpster diving all the time but our dumpsters smash everything and super dangerous to get inside. But i heard some girls make a bag of stuff and when they go toss the trash they just pop it in there car and throw the rest away.

Some employees actually set things aside for divers to come collect and some of them have stopped ruining the products so they’re usable. They will get in serious trouble if the managers find out though. My cousin got fired for it.

I agree I honestly have respect for those who do t ruin things on purpose. Sad they got fired though... At least they tried. I do worry about when dumpster divers show their hauls off because I honestly get worried for the employees.

Jane Mason I would have sold it locally, but the mirror was so massive. It would barely fit in my car.. I just wanted to make sure it didn’t end up in the landfill!

claudia well i guess they can’t sell them but they could keep them. Its probably just what they have to do cause they don’t make the rules
I work at ulta and the amount of stuff that are just tossed is super upsetting. Some products arent event touched and we have to throw it out sadly :(

Some of the stuff that gets thrown out the workers will throw away and after their shift they go out and get it.
You can open this plastic cases with a strong magnet 🧲. You’ll put magnet on the little round thing on the back and it should slide right up to take the items out.
You are awesome and less annoying like the other dumpster divers I've watched. Thank you for a great video without freaking out like the others do

one time i found so much stuff at burlington, luggage, jewelry, a huge box of brand new makeup, 3 comforter sets, clothes shoes, toys , hampers, etc it was crazy! i have a small car so i packed it full and had to leave some stuff behind
Strap that Go Pro on your chest or head so you can dig with both hands, It's a lot faster.

I'm a new sub here and I like your videos. It makes me so happy to see that you donate some of your things you find. You are quiet and classy when you DD, but let me tell you, they are so loud. I agree with one of the other posters on here, you really should take it to Salvation Army Store, because Goodwill marks everything way up. There is another youtuber named, The Chris and Hollie Show and they find bunches of notebooks and things like that and they will not donate a thing. They sell it all on Ebay. She will even find broken candles, remelt them, put them in jars she found and sell them. They are very greedy and smart alec youtubers.
I have worked as a loss prevention retail manager and more than likely this was an employee stealing from the store they worked in. There is no way these items would have been thrown out with the security tags and containers still attached. I am glad you found them before whoever placed them there did.

I'm a TJMAXX employee and the majority of the haul she did is because of am employee that NEEDS FIRED. We do not just throw away brand new items like that. An employee of that store is throwing stuff away to get for themselves when they clock out. This actually makes me mad.

Hi there, I used to work at a Burlington and they way to open the hard plastic cases from the perfumes you need a powerful magnetic and place it on top on the metal circle on the back located in the middle then pull one half up and it'll sound like a zip tie when it locks or unlocks. And same with the watch security tags the rounded top is where you put the magnetic and a needle will poke out and that's what locks it. Hopefully that helps. 😊

Unfortunately I didn't. I honestly didn't know people did this kind of stuff till a few months ago. It's pretty awesome. Good finds for sure.
Inpatient psychiatric places could use donations too and Detox centers. A lot of homeless folks go there for services and need clothing, personal care items... Just a thought 😊

Take a neodymium magnet to the security boxes and theyll open. Just for future reference. You can find the magnet at any hardware store

Don't believe everything people tell you. Do your own research.
Goodwills in WNC are honest companies. They help the local communities by providing job training. They ask for donations, but don't solely run on donations. They purchase new bulk items as well.
Goodwill are good places to donate to. Best to keep intell you see someone in need. That's what I did.
@@GlamourDDive - I am in the UK and many local charities have stores here, so you might try that, or any shelters you know of. Toiletries, clothes and make up are always gratefully received. People usually think clothes and blankets, but not toiletries. :) You're doing an EXCELLENT job by the way! WELL DONE. :D (also here in the UK dumpster diving is illegal). :(

I'm happy you got a good haul, but as a TJMAXX employee I'm heated. That employee needs fired. That is clearly internal theft happening. Yes things like broken candles get tossed BUT a lot of the stuff you got should have never made it to the dumpster.

Try and donate to other places besides Goodwill! Look for a domestic shelter retail store with proceeds to finance the local domestic shelter or other places, maybe you have a Salvation Army? Goodwill is a horrible place to donate anything since the employees take the good things & their prices just went up! The Salvation Army gives back to the community.....nice haul!

We have a store here called Our House and the take anything in as a donation then they sell the items really cheap (for a thrift store) and the money goes to fund the woman’s domestic shelter! I’ve donated a bunch of stuff and am soon to have another truck load full of donations for them! I will NEVER EVER give another item to Goodwill...they’ve become political in their practices & the employees take a huge percentage of the really good stuff & the rest gets put on the floor dirty & broken! Oh and our Goodwill has cockroaches in their items! I was cleaning out a purse that I bought there and sure enough one of those ugly creepy cockroaches ran out and I about fell over...I cleaned up really good and donated it! Eeeeewwwwwww

not to be rude or anything which is, I understand she finds as a hobby and it's a great concept to recycle, but I wouldn't feel comfortable using makeup that I found in a trash bag that has food items and spilled liquids of any sort it's just common sense that that's not sanitary for anyone but that's just my opinion for myself, but I'm glad that she does donate half of the items she finds.
Amanda nole Hi, I totally understand where you’re coming from. For the most part, such as these morphe palettes I grabbed them mainly for the viewers. I do not sell or personally use them, however, I will use some items such as brushes with thorough cleaning with 100% alcohol. But of course it’s to each their own, precautions recommended

At Dt they have small tupperware type containers that you can spoon product into so you can have a lid and write name on it. They some times have packs 8 or 1o like for candies or whatever when my powder breaks or blush I use those to use up product. Stay organized or you can use a zip lock baggy.
Careful. If the stuff still has security tags attached, it could be stolen. If you get caught with it, your the one in trouble and you will get your selling account will get banned. Also if you find boxes grab them. They’re great for shipping and storage.

You know how to fix the product, add a little Achole then shape that's how you clean the product also.

SassyCrafterFromAlabama I know I’ve been so busy! I’ve just had to give some away because of the space it’s been taking up. My mom loves Burberry as well, she took it after I found it): lol it’s called solder. It’s used for fixing electronics, but it was the perfect fit for fixing the palettes. I did use the iron just to keep them in place if that makes sense

Just thought id lyk just in case you didnt know that Amazon and ebay,, mainly ebay would be better but they sale the universal magnetic security thinhs that take off those security tags and so you dont habe to try and break your arm lol tryna také off the cases or security tags.
