I do feel sorry for Josh Dobbs. Despite the miracle beginning of his Vikings career I think this game sounded it's end, at least as starter.
He was bad before they got him. Nice guy, smart, great athlete, average QB with average passing skills on a good day. Glad he was able to help seal a few wins, but he was never a long term answer.

For all of you reactionary fools saying Flores should be head coach, just look at what Tua said about him as his QB coach.. said it was hard to play under him. Flores is a GREAT defensive coach, but KOC is our leader. KOC has been through so much with this team. Injured captain kirk, JJ, half the Oline, and STILL has managed to keep us alive. I hope KOC is our coach for a decade to come. We WILL win a Super Bowl with KOC as the helm.

Last 2 seasons combined, KOC's win record is 20-10. That's a pretty strong showcase in your first two years as a head coach, especially working with a team so mangled by injuries. Flores has been incredible with our defense, and KOC has turned an offense barely able to stand on one leg into something that's still managing to win games and get a play-off shot. This season is probably going to end in heartbreak; I just don't think we can go the distance with so many key players missing. But, I'm very excited to see what this team can do next year while healthy.
He got to his 20th win faster than any other Vikings coach. I don't expect a deep playoff run without Kirk, but just making to the playoffs is hard. I hope the Vikings can at least get one playoff win. If they lose in the Wild Card, somehow.....all the Kirk haters will say that he choked again in the playoffs as they are too lazy / stupid to acknowledge that he's been out half of the season (he gets blamed for a playoff loss as a rookie when he enters the game with one minute left and the game is out of reach).
All these idiots saying fire koc obviously overlook all the injuries to key players on offense our qb our best wr and arguably or best rb 🤦♂️. It's good to see that some of us fans aren't stupid 😂

He could learn a lot under Cousins. It makes me sick to my stomach that Cousins doesn’t get to play with this defense.

I hate how reactionary this fan base is. That game was hard to watch. The last few weeks have been hard to watch. That being said, keep in mind a couple things that happened this year and still sitting at 7-6. 1. Starting QB that is top 10ish in the league making $40M years his Achilles, despite never being hurt before. 2. The best WR in the league gets hurt for the first time. 3. You lose a historical amount and percentage of your fumbles. 4. You start out 0-3 and 1-4. After all this, the Vikings are 7-6 and in position to get in the playoffs with their 4th QB this season. KOC definitely has issues playcalling, but I also look at how bad the Rams are without Stafford last year but no one questions McVay. KOC is 37 years old and 20-11 as a head coach. Give him time. BFlo is awesome, but his head coaching tenure seems to have been bad in Miami. See if you can make him the highest paid DC and run this back to see if you can make a run if healthy and a little luck on your sidez
I like defense and I cheer for what the teams does well. They play great defense, just need some complimentary offense to go with it. These coaches are both good.
Agree. God forbid we have a few bad games, I hate how everyone is so quick to blame one position/staff member. Also we still have a winning record despite the slew of injuries we've been having.

KOC has had some questionable play calls and game plans but regardless the offense is limited without Kirk. It’s just that simple
While this may be true, l think it speaks more to the mediocrity of KOC then it does to anything special about Cousins. The more time Dobbs has had with KOC, the worse he has played.

I liked the playcalling this game. I think this game showed our offense struggling at the player level, not at the playcalling level. Dobbs struggled to have a good pass, and every good pass he threw ended up being dropped. Sucks that we struggled so much but at least we've solidified our defense as being elite this season
Yeah, people are quick to blame Dobbs on this one, but the dude had zero turnovers and threw some great 1st down passes that were dropped or knocked down. You could see how much the receivers struggled to get open, despite Dobbs extending the play as much as possible. He didn't play great, but he definitely wasn't the sole reason we couldn't get any momentum on offense. Big props to the defense for being an impenetrable wall.

1: Most Vikings fans are clueless, which is about 90% of them on social media
2: These Vikings fans think we are going to the SB after every win
3: These Vikings fans think we should tank the season after every loss or fire someone
4: Even after a win, most find something to complain about and have zero clue about what it takes to play, coach, call plays, or anything related to football at all.
5: Most are old and probably have some level of dementia

I was expecting Metellus to get a game ball too for forcing the turnover in the red zone. If he doesn't do that, the Raiders definitely score points, a very likely a TD. The offense showed us that that would have been too much for them to overcome.
Ive said this since he got here but nick Mullens should be starting over josh dobbs dobbs hasn’t got good accuracy (see the play when Jefferson got injured) he threw it to high hanging Jefferson out to dry and letting him get hurt
They took Dobbs out so he isn’t going back in unless both Mullens and Hall get hurt

This bad showing (I know, I know, a win is a win) but this fell on the play calling.
I swear I felt like I was screaming at the TV for them to call more RPO style plays and for the love of effing God, roll the damn pocket out. Sometimes I feel I can out coach some of these coaches. Real talk.
Stubborn, egotistical coaches tend to out coach themselves, this was one of those games. Well the last few games were those types. Coach needs to swallow his pride, make a decision and stop sparing feelings.
