    From the studio that brought you "Every Word of the Bible is Literally True... Except When it's Figurative" and "All Sin is Equal... But Some Sins Are More Equal Than Others", comes the epic tale of one woman's attempt to silence her deafening cognitive dissonance: "Abortion is Murder... Except When it's Not". This spring, experience the horror of being less logically consistent than Gohan.

      Bonnie, the one who could not get pregnant no matter what she did, and her hysterical voice just showed how desperate she was. You can bet her whole sex life became planned in every detail. For her getting pregnant is something deliberate, that you take enormous pains to make it happen.
      For her it is inconceiveable that it can just happen in passing. On a night getting drunk and not even remembering that and what happened in the back alley behind the bar you visited.
      That there are women whose periods are irregular and have no reason to get upset by missing a period.
      Women that use the pill and a condom and get pregnant nevertheless.
      All is inconceivable for Bonnie.
      I am always amazed how little many people are able to put themselves into the position of another person, to switch to another logical system. Apparently they are trained for uniformity, that there is only one correct way of thinking, and that is regulated by your peer. Often God and his mouthpiece on earth, your preacher you are paying so that you think what you are thinking is RIGHT and all other thoughts are wrong, and for that purpose there is a strategy refined over 2000 years to sync up the brain patterns of your congregation.

      Wasn’t there a case like this before?
      Where a woman’s doctor told her that her baby wasn’t viable (won’t survive) and if she didn’t get an abortion her life could be at risk.
      But then her church pressured her into not getting an abortion and as a result she died.

    • @feedingravens
      @feedingravens 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kaiza6467 As far as I know, at least in one state they (meaning the Republicans) want to forbid abortions even in cases like ectopian pregnancies, where the egg settles in the fallopian tube.
      It is IMPOSSIBLE for the fetus to come to term, it is life-endangering if not reliably lethal for the mother - does not matter. Let both suffer. It is the principle that must be maintained at ANY cost. Because the voters must be fed with simple slogans, must be fed the illusion that the world is simple and they provide the correct truths.

      @@FinneousPJ1 That was going to be my comment. She is far too emotional and veering off course because of it. Yes, a pregnancy can be terminated all the way up to and including delivery but that is NEVER done for birth control. Late term is almost invariably a wanted pregnancy that needs to be terminated for medical reasons and will invariably be a horrific experience for everyone involved. Abortion needs to be legal, safe and available and no one else's fucking business. Emotional appeals have no relevance.

    Bonnie's husband having weak sperm count, or her egg not being able to conceive easily, isn't them being responsible. It's just biology. Also, abortion is not easy, why does Bonnie think this? There's also already a cut off point where terminating is no longer allowed!

    • @terryhinch
      @terryhinch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      "You know how many people want to get pregnant and can't..." is the same "you should be grateful there are starving kids who would love this food" guilt trip my mom used to use to get me to finish eating my vegetables.
      It's not also relevant. Me having and not eating the unwanted veggies didn't take them away from another child. Nor does forcing me to eat them mean someone else gets fed.
      I'm sorry Bonnie had a tough time conceiving. But that doesn't mean it is what every person who becomes pregnant wants that nor does forcing them to stay pregnant mean someone who does want it will get to be.

It is inconsistent to change access based on whether or not Bonnie thinks the woman deserves it. Ask Bonnie if she can be hooked up and forced to give a kidney or forced to have her system used for someone else's weekly dialysis or forced into a series of bone marrow transplants. In such cases, we know a human living outside of a womb is likely to die. If she's not willing to be forced to use her body for the life of a dying person, she needs to stfu about forced pregnancy.

    Your passion for the topic was self-evident, and there is nothing wrong with having strong views. When you get a chance to hear this recording again, I ask you to do the following.
    1) Listen to the question asked of you, then stop the video and write the question in full. If needed, play the QUESTION again to
    ensure you have it accurately. Under the video, there are three tiny dots in a line to click on and open the computer-generated

    If a fetus and I are identical and we have all the same rights as each other, then if I need a kidney transplant, it is moral for me to COMPEL someone who is a match to give me their kidney. If the government does not allow women to exercise a right to abortions, it is COMPELLING them to carry out the pregnancy and give birth. Regardless of a person's personal view of whether the act of abortion is good or bad, what we are really discussing is whether we as a society are going to COMPEL people on how their bodies are subject to the needs and desires of others.

    At 52:00 he says "The stars fall" then goes on to interpret it as a general description of a supernova. To me that is way off. A supernova looks like a very bright star in the night sky when it happens. Trying to compare the mechanics of collapse to that phrase is the Quran is unconvincing. Wouldn't it be more likely the phrase was describing a meteor? I've seen them many times and you could say it looks like a falling star. A goat herder back then would see meteors almost every night if they watched for a few hours.
    Does the Quran describe a phenomena that can be replicated with an experiment? Does it describe any experiment that can repeatedly demonstrate a phenomena?
    Does the Quran describe religious rituals with enough detail that they can be reproduced accurately by any Muslim?
    If the answer to the former is no, and the latter is yes, then I would be more inclined to believe the Quran is the writings of man, not a deity.
