What a FUN project! Thx for the tutorial. As much as I Love to learn about glaze combinations, it’s great to watch your process. Thank you…appreciate you so much! ❤
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the how-to video. This is my first time seeing you throw. I had no idea about sponge bats for trimming lids like that.
Yes! I use that sponge bat a lot!
Love this!! What a bonus showing us the whole process from throwing to the finished glazed piece. The use of winter wood is just perfect. Brilliant!!!❤
Thanks Jan!
I am a lefty too. I trim both ways depending on the piece.
Great video Lisa thank you . I’ll be giving it a go , I hope mine is half as lovely .
Can’t wait to see your creation!
❤️
Morning Lisa from Denmark👋 I am Happy to be here.
I just started throwing standing up as well. 😊
@@ginafeddersen8200 good morning Gina. I was happy it didn’t take too long to get the hang of it. I think my body will thank me for it
@ yes, I started in the sitting position but my hips could not take it. I meant to mention it before as I saw your wheel in a high position when you did your Kiln openings. 😊
Lovely Mushroom Lamp Lisa! 👏❤️👏 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and process, I hope to try to make one one day.😊
You've started something now - I've just googled West Australian fungi. So many types to choose from, so many ideas. Thank you so much for posting this and good luck with your house move.
Thank you. I’d love to see your version of a Western Australian mushroom when it’s done 😊
It's fun to watch you throw Lisa. Love the mushroom. This is very much how I make the birch tree luminaires still awaiting editing. Anyway, you could make birch trees in the autumn. I am totally going to make these because they are so charming. Thank you so much for sharing!❤
Definitely! Can’t wait to see your tutorial
I loved watching this idea come to life. What a fun video. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, I'm thinking of raising my wheel so I can stand. Is there a guideline to the correct height? It looks like the top of the splash pan is about waist level for you. I wonder how you use your body differently, compared to when throwing while seated. Thanks, Jessica
@@seahorseceramics I Saw a few potters recently standing also Kim from Unseth pottery. Got me curious, as I had dicculty sitting. Checked out a few YT videos that were very helpful. Built mine up and it works fine and much easier. I use the rim of my splashpan to support.
I started out around my belly button. Had to adjust it a few times to find the perfect height for me.
Breath….
