This is our setup at home. Purposely went this way over the bigger models due to the instant heating, automatic frother, ability to pick our own grinder of choice. Saved some money also and used that on espresso accessories like dosing funnel, scale, tamper etc
@@Miguelj17 Went with the Breville Smart Grinder Pro. And using a WDT tool plus IMS basket and the grinder dial adjustments, It’s not perfect but decent. If I were to do it again though, I’d try to get the BARATZA Encore ESP instead.

Just got this! Crazy how my phone brought me here. 😅 got if for sale (250) reason why I bought it was I had previously had breville machines and love them
Brilliant! Now, the question any espresso newbie asks, “what accessories can I get with all the money I saved”😂. (Bigger basket, bottomless portafilter, wdt…)
I have this paired with the Fellow Opus! It's honestly a great machine, and the auto milk steaming works surprisingly well. I much prefer the coffee I make at home now to coffee shops.
I have the Breville Barista Express and a DF 64 Grinder. love them! ❤ Simply one of the best choice for people who need good coffee machine for their home and just starting out learning about pulling espresso ☕
I have the barista impress express and was thinking of changing to the bambino. Just because I want something smaller. Is it worth the change or should I keep the Barista impress express? Also would you recommend the bambino or the bambino plus?
Dude i had it dialed in for a whole and just lost it. Can seem to be figure it out after tons of troubleshooting. Still getting fast shots with some channeling
I do the same (manually timed) and it’s the only way I’ll pull shots! I typically go 2:1 unless I’m making an affogato, then I grind a little finer and shoot for closer to 1:1 to thicken it up a tad before I pour it over my ice cream.
TLDR: I have heard no one refute it still is the least messy, simplest to dial in, easiest to clean with extremely consistent grinds and best workflow on the market. Personally, I'm biased because I've already bought one although I haven't received it until Tuesday... I've been shopping espresso machines and grinders for over 3 years I was going to go with the Breville Smart grinder Pro because they do bundles if you buy directly through Breville and everything was on sale but they wouldn't let me pair that with it so I said screw it and went end game. Remember that watching grinder reviews is kind of like watching car reviews, those guys are connoisseurs and tend to like performance and getting nitpick because it gives them talking points. A lot of the things they notice and point out are just minor differences, not things that you're going to notice in a negative way. I kept writing off the Niche Zero because people talked about it having too many fines and particle distribution (esp at coarser settings and i want ONE grinder for every use) but then after absorbing all that information I see that the top coffee TH-camrs with the exception of Lance Hedrick are still using it and enjoy it! That said, getting one of the Bambinos without adjustable temperature control or flow control, we are probably not the kind of consumers that are going to notice the difference on the palate between a high-end grinder and a higher-end grinder 😂 I'm not buying single-origin naturally processed crazy expensive beans because I understand need higher temperatures for extraction... I want ease of use, good quality output for my investment, low maintenance, easy to clean, minimal input on the daily but with the ability to step up my game on the weekends, kinda setup = Niche Zero grinder paired with Breville Bambino Plus
Hoping you can help me 🙏.. I just bought my Bambino and I'm trying to get it to make a good crema. It just comes out flat. What am i doing wrong ? 🤷♀️
It’s a combination of things, but right off the bat make sure you’re using freshly roasted coffee beans (less than 4 weeks is best), the right grind (not fine enough and it will be flat), right amount and tamped well
I have the DeLonghi Specialista Arte. And I’m considering changing to a Bambino Plus with a grinder. But not sure how the bambino compares to the specialista in brewing? Obviously the grinder will be much better (almost no matter which one I get)
If your getting fresh coffee their no point in getting the combo grinder cause you can buy your beans at a cafe and ask them to grind it. Unless your very precise with details.
I have the Breville Bambino Plus and I'm using the pressurized basket. Do you think, the Breville Smart Grinder Pro would be good enough to gring coffee for espresso? I don't want to sell my car to buy a super duper grinder 😁
Well when i got into their website i saw Breville/ Sage . In my region there is machines which are same looking like breville but their marketing as Sage. Is there any difference between Sage and Breville?
I’m debating between getting the bambino plus to getting lelit anna. Looking for a high-quality machine for the long term. which one would you recommend? Or is there a different machine you would recommend?
Everytime i see a bambino video everyone raves how great it is but also just happens to have bought the plus model. Whats the difference between the two? It must be superior if everyone is spending the extra cash.
I bought one second hand and it doesn’t come with a single walled filter basket. I’m going to grind my own beans so do I need to buy one? Also do I need to buy the little razor tool as well? Thanks
Damn, usually those cheaper machines have stupid pressure (like “professional 21 bar pressure”, whatever that means) and give terrible results. I’m so glad it’s 9 bar with the standard baskets, that’s very rare at that price point.
Just picked one up with the matching sage grinder as my bean to cup delonghi has broken and I needed something small enough to fit on my countertop. I wanted to upgrade the basket, is that easy enough to do straight away or do you need to buy a new portafilter?
Love mine ✨❤️✨and just replaced my old grinder that died after many good years of service. (RIP old friend 🕊️) Outlasted several ☕️machines! Have had the Bambino plus for a few years without any issues. 😎👍🏼 Really like the ability to switch grinders.
I paired with the Niche Zero! Getting the grinder on Tuesday... I know I'm not using optimal milk as I don't intend to keep whole milk around but as I'm fiddling with the unit, I'm trying to figure out if there is a best position for the frothing pitcher if you're going to use the auto milk steaming and all I'm seeing is a recommendation to make sure everything is dry and it's touching the heat sensor in the drip tray. Should I have the wand right against side of the pitcher? Should it be more centered? Should I have the pitcher more to one side or centered as well?
If youre using a alternative milk i suggest to foam it, and let is rest for about 20 seconds so it will thicken a little bit. I do this all the time on work. Example With full milk i put in the espresso shot and then i start frothing. With alternative milks i froth, then i make the espresso shot and let the milk rest meanwhile. Around 20-30 seconds. Quick walse and its perfect 😊 (I do keep it thin btw dont add to much air)
Hey, I've got the bambino plus, using my own grinder and the single wall baskets. But whenever I'm pulling coffee (doesn't matter if I'm using the one cup bottom-less or the two cup) it's not running out in a nice smooth line but instead spilling all over my cup. Do you maybe have an idea what I'm doing wrong or how I can fix this?
The Bambino uses a non-standard 54mm porta filter size. Once you invest money into the bambino and decide to move up, you’ll need to buy a new tamp, distribution tool, basket, funnel, etc. Breville is made in China, which is fine, but considering the origin, the price rivals many prosumer level machines made in Italy. Italy is still a strong player in this market with lots of offerings of high quality machines that are made to last, many of which, comes with standard components that are available if need for repair. Note that Breville doesn’t want you to repair your machine if it breaks down, but rather pay for shipping and send the entires unit. Your experiencing vary though. Good entry level machine if you don’t plan on jumping deeper into the espresso rabbit hole.
Pretty harsh judgment, I bought the bambino as it is my first expresso machine, right now I don't have the budget to buy a 500$ grinder. I will definitely upgrade later. You know there's a special place in hell for elitists like you?

What’s a 2:1 shot?
@@BusyAngel9999its a shot where the water is twice the mass of the coffee used. so 15g coffee resulting in 30g of water out, for example
