@@valovanonym I dunno, for that to work he would have had to spray his hair with some sort of metallic hair spray, which would be a real pain to take off, but then again that could explain why it always looks the same, so in the end the other guy was correct in saying it always looks the same.

He uses his hair in the trick somehow, in every routine he touches his hair, i wanna see a bald Shin.
at 1:56 -1:57 if you look closely at the felt table, there's actually square slots that flip over. There's a square for each piece that flips open to reveal the ripped pieces, and one that shuts close to make the whole card with the ripped corner disappear. The camera angle just barely gives it away.
the closer you look, the less you see. there was nothig. the big card just vanishes in thin air, its fragments appear out of nowhere. no flipping, no trail. video edit??

Who’s playing it back at 0.25x and still can’t see how it’s done?
There's likely some slight editing to conceal the trick. A similar thing was done on AGT and someone showed artifacts from editing go cover up the flashes.
Every start of his act I can follow along... I'm like:

shim lim knows how to do magic.his magic is so smooth and undetectable
watch 2:42. the corner piece is connected to an elastic band that he connected one second prior that the end is connected to the inside of his jacket. When he lets go of the corner piece it snaps back into his jacket and then he rubs his fingertips to make it look like it vanished but the snapback into his jacket was blocked from view by his arm. The corner piece snaps elastically into his jacket.
Seen him live a couple of times, he is incredible....

Cool! How much was the tickets and how long was the show?
PMC05 well the first time we saw him at the Sydney Opera House and the tix were rather expensive, over $250 for premium seats.
Second time was at a normal theatre and tix were somewhat cheaper at just over $150.
Mind you we select premium experiences since we can afford to do so.
Furthermore, he is worth every cent.

When he says “nothing on the back, nothing on the front” you can see as he flips the card in his hand, his other reaches for something. That’s the point of the trick where my neck began to twitch. As I reached for my neck, instead of my neck meat, it was deer meat. I look all around. I’m in a meadow. My antlers feel majestic in the winter wind. I ponder whether I will continue eating shrubs, or return to my deer family in the darkness of the forest. I look up to the sky. I am forever a majestic deer. The thing with this guy as that he's so damn quick! Even if you know exactly how he is doing it, the dexterity required to pull it off is unbelievable. There are probably many professional sleight of hand magicians that couldn't make some of Shin's tricks work even if they were told how to do it.

They all are. The Queen of Spades was not a free choice. Band crew searched the deck for it. Lim had several "ripped" cards for this performance, if you look closely, the one he rips clearly takes off the left half of the spade, but addition cards had a slight bit left over. And Jimmy was in on it by placing the card under his tie.

Think about this logically: to make an entire card *literally* disappear, split into four corners and re-emerge whole again without it being a supernatural phenomenon would necessitate editing. Jimmy Fallon doesn’t invite on talents and help them *pretend* to be talents. His live audience wouldn’t attend the show to help the talent *pretend* to be a talent. There is literally no incentive. That would be self-defeating, fraudulent and nonsensical. The lengths to which people like you twist themselves into pretzels and gaslight themselves by making to be the case what is actually *not* the case is mind-boggling.
