It’s funny how many people talk shot about this car but can’t even afford it. It has a naturally aspirated great sounding v6 and it drives really good actually. I would know cause I got one and yes it might not be as fast but everything isn’t about straight line speed lol, this thing handles like a beast. The IS500 is going to be even better. You can still do burn outs, donuts, and drifts in the is350, it is actually a very fun car.

They look super nice though and that engine has shown in their past history that they will last you a long time. This is an investment you’ll get your moneys worth in the long run.
It’s more than enough horesepower. I’ve kept up with scat packs maneuvering through light traffic in a 255 horsepower GLC 300 and they were always driving way more risky than I am.

Some cons - is 350 has serious tire wear issues, can’t rotate, so every 20k, you need new tires - still doesn’t have wireless car play lol. Besides that, way more reliable than Germans
Bought it for 51k luxury one. The buttons are outdated, but they do not bother me and at night they look like a pilots cockpit. I did get it for the reliability and low depreciation cost. The car is beautiful, but my only problem was they didn’t come with memory seats and tinted windows. Everything else is good with me.
For power and f sport is nothing a waste you’re better off getting an is300 awd and than getting a chip/tune and other mods to increase power let alone you save 10k

The engine is a Toyota V6. Which means it is a direct injection engine. Which means that it will not be a reliable motor in 8+ years without the knowledge of how to clean of intake valves routinely. The days of "Toyota is super reliable" Are going to be left in the past. All manufacturers are leaning to DI engines but it will kill your fuel economy and eventually cause issues. And the maintenence that dealerships do for this issue is just to run a fuel treatment through after directly spraying treatment on the injectors. This is not nearly enough to break down the Carbon especially when none of the treated fuel will be hitting the back of the valves anyway. An engineering genius with a massive flaw - direct injection engines. Luckily my 5.0 has dual injection. Best of both worlds 🤙

My 2017 Nissan has all that, v6 , sun roof, big trunk, leather seats ,ect. You’re just paying for the brand. I get nobody likes the cvt. But even replacing it … you’re only gonna be spending 23k with a new cvt on it. So yeah hate all you want on it but atleast ur not spending 53 for the same shit on my wip💀
It’s a good car, had one as a loaner for a day. It’s wayyyy behind in performance and handling and tech then the top of the food chain in this segment though. The M340i and S4 are better in every way. And yes… we know… it’s going to be more reliable over time. All new modern cars are way more reliable than they were 20 years ago though so that’s argument is carrying less weight these day, in my opinion.

Today, cars are getting less and less reliable because companies are making smaller, turbo powered engines because they are cheaper and can make the same power as an NA, bigger engine. Common sense tells you a smaller engine , with a turbo has to reach higher rpm/higher strain to reach the same power output as a bigger na v6/v8. There is no way around this rule, smaller engine with more turbos=less reliability. doesnt matter who you are. only reliable brands today are lexus/toyota, honda, hyundai is ok. thats pretty much it
