In the 5 or 6 weeks I've been wearing barefoot shoes, not a single person has said anything to me about them. I wear them whenever I leave the house, whether it's just to walk around the neighborhood or go grocery shopping or whatever, not a single soul has said a word. Maybe no one's really noticed, maybe no one cares. If someone cares that much about the shape of the toe box on your shoes, they gotta change their priorities. XD
@@justanotherpiccplayer3511 I'm now almost 5 months in, still nothing. It must not really be a big deal. I even got the Be Lenka Winter 3.0 boots and those are clown city. 😂 What shoes did you get? Did you stop buying weed for a month? 😂
I have flat feet and was always told I need feet support or inserts in order to run, I HATED that and I picked up the Vibram five fingers and started slowly running farther and farther. It's been 7 years and although I don't run in the five fingers anymore or even have them, they allowed my feet to strengthen to the point where I can run in any show. Honestly, they are great shoes and the feeling of walking or running in them is truly awesome.
Thanks for sharing! I have flat feet too and I wore custom insoles for a few years to create an arch, after a while I realised the arch is actually pushing the legs outwards and causing a lot of joint pain in the hips and knees. I am slowly transitioning to barefoot shoes, and I noticed I don't have joint pains anymore, but I get a lot more muscle soreness around my feet as I am activiating all the muscles that has been dormant for years!
One of my biggest fears is me being wide and flat footed and buying these shoes. I walk all day every day as delivery driver for Amazon and I wear wide shoes to give me a bit of room. Do you think those would be a good beginner walking shoe?
@@kalithechamp1412 I walk about 18,000 steps a day but I’m sure you do more as an Amazon worker and I wear Vibram shoes almost everyday. Bro you couldn't even tape the insoles of nikes to the bottom of your feet can call them barefoot. Every Nike has no toebox a significant drop and too much foam.
I got the Saguaro Luck I shoes a week ago and they're pretty nice as a casual shoe. Gotten a couple compliments already! I can also say the Earth Runners are great. Can't say whether grounding really does anything, but I try to put them on whenever sandals would work. Love these when going on easier hikes or errands. They're good for running too, but I prefer my Xero HFS for runs.
i read alot about socks when changing to barefoot. if i wear barefoot shoes, does it matter wich type of socks i wear? i mean for the "freedom" of the feets.
Too many athletic shoe makers don't even make wide sizes. That's one reason I'm a fan of New Balance. That being said, I'm planning to get into a barefoot shoe to see how that works for me. Thanks for the recommendations.
I love my Vibram FiveFingers. I use them as my casual walking shoes, I hardly wear slippers anymore. You do get a couple of stares, but good stares and compliments.

7:10 a different knot is helpful to keep these laces from being untied. Going through the hole 2x (one loop or double bunny ears) creates a much better knot. It’s called a “double slip knot” and works well with keeping leather laces on boat shoes tight as well. And easy to untie with just a pull on either end.

Given the proliferation of minimal shoemakers, lots to gamble on. 15:58. No clue why I can't remove the 15:58s
Where is the xero shoes??! Cmon man.
It would be nice if you could test the Joe Nimble Pilot 1 Running shoes since you have so much experience with barefoot shoes, to say how they compare to your running shoes 😄

I wish I could find barefoot style shoes in steel or composite toe for work.
I'm still waiting for the barefoot industry to dive further into sports, I play rugby, so every time there's a match, I have to go back to the cramped shoes😭😂
