OMG!!! I can't you believe you reacted to a The Untamed FMV!!! The Untamed is one of my favourite shows ever! 1000/10 reccomend! It can be a bit confusing (specially if you don't know cultural references and the genre this falls into: Xianxia). The Untamed is an adaptation from the danmei (basically BL) novel Mo Dao Zu Shi (The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) by Mo Xiang Tong Xu. It falls into the category of Xianxia (which deals with Chinese Martial Arts with the added element of the supernatural - with zombies, monsters, ghosts, demons, gods, immortality, etc. This is the synopsis of the book: "As the grandmaster who founded the Demonic Sect, Wei WuXian roamed the world in his wanton ways, hated by millions for the chaos he created. In the end, he was backstabbed by his dearest shidi and killed by powerful clans that combined to overpower him. He incarnates into the body of a lunatic who was abandoned by his clan and is later, unwillingly, taken away by a famous cultivator among the clans-Lan WangJi, his archenemy. This marks the start of a thrilling yet hilarious journey of attacking monsters, solving mysteries, and raising children. From the mutual flirtation along the way, Wei WuXian slowly realizes that Lan WangJi, a seemingly haughty and indifferent poker-face, holds more feelings for Wei WuXian than he is letting on." Mo Dao Zu Shi has been adapted to a live-action show, an audiobook, a donghua (chinese animation) and manhua (chinese comics). There are 2 spin-off movies and a mobile game. Imagine the tragedy of MDZS if Wei Wuxian just died and didn’t come back 😭 seeing videos like this with no context, it almost makes it seem like he died and that was it
At the cliff shown near the end of the video he dies but he comes back to life and that’s where the series starts, keeps going for a few ep, then does a big backstory/flashback to quite awhile before his death before everything went wrong. I won’t spoiler more, but please watch it!
So these scenes were taken from a Chinese TV series called “The Untamed” It has two spinoff movies called “The Fateful Journey” and “The Living Dead” The anime and novel is called “The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation” or “Mo Dao Zu Shi” I also heard that there is a web novel, though I am not sure if it’s under the same name or not There is also a mobile game released by NetEase Games
The Untamed best drama to come from China, if you watch bring plenty of tissues, it can be a bit confusing but it's so worth it, love your reaction ❤️❤️
