They've not been right since the "Love in Space" live album. That's when they sounded their best by far. Hawkwind is now basically a duo (Brock/Chadwick) with various musicians popping in and out.
As opposed to the Charisma years, when Hawkwind was basically a duo (Brock/Calvert) wth various musicians popping in and out. In fact in the 7 years between the first album ("Hawkwind") and the seventh ("Quark Strangeness and Charm") the only consistent member is Brock, with 13 other members "popping in and out". Hawkwind has always been this way.

You know little. Any idea how many hawk classics actually exist? We...the fans were given a voting system for the set list a year before. Also I think management under contractual bias insist on a few promotional songs from latest album. So go away...play "my fav...The Demented Man".. enjoy what is. not what is not. I was there..it was fantastic and the atmoshere in this tour was electric.
It has even a Kiss riff...they are masters of rock, man.
Ah the 80s, lasers, strobes , free festivals, Harvey, hugh ,, the 90s , Simon, pogle lightshows, since then,, the energy just aint the same .......
