Nice! I had a TX with the lundahl transformer for a long time. Ended up being really great but not for my use case. Plus the values skyrocketed.

@@PaddyBlight It's super solid. However I often think.... I can grab an actual clone of an 1176 from Warm for $500.
To my ears it has a similar tone quality to the Diamond/Lusithand optical compressor. I love that you guys continue to put out reviews on more niche items.
I've always wanted to check out the older Diamond comp! Niche is good for the soul, bad for the wallet.

I own three comps that most consider top shelf types.Cali 1176 bass ,Empress bass and Hyper Luminal.That said I've been playing over 40 years and I doubt I'll ever get compressors other than in theory.I can't hear much difference unless one tries to make it suck.And yet people rave about this one or that.I guess I'm missing something or have bad hearing.
It’s very subtle but compressor hype is annoying! I would focus on listening for how held back something sounds and/or how fast/slow it clamps
I didn’t love the Cali because it was a bit noisy
