    Best pull quote from the video: "Thank god, like...what the...what the hell?" Ha!
    The pleasure and disdain is hilarious. It's why I subscribe.

    I'm in the same boat, at least it finally arrived and the packaging was quite nice. The Savannah Masters are TINY, probably a bit smaller than the old metal models.

      I feel alot of the plastics mechs look way beefy next to their old metal counterparts, which I'm quite ok with, so it's interesting some of the vehicles would be opposite.

    Not saying they didn't make mistakes with this and the previous kickstarter (in my view most of the problems stem from the swag items) but saying the communications were atrocious is just wrong. I never needed to communicate with them, was able to find answers to most of my questions easy enough, and got my stuff with the only hassle being the shipping costs.
    The problem is people treating this like a pre-order and dog-piling them with demands for status updates.

    Definitely too many SKUs. I had to keep a spreadsheet just to keep track what I was ordering. Can't imagine the headaches for the people who had to pick all those orders.

    Trying to be patient. Paid my $70 shipping/state taxes mid/late May, not a peep since.

      Agreed. Kickstarter might be worth it if I can convince myself that I'm getting $350-$450 worth of Battletech product for my $275, but the moment I spend too much of my time thinking how much of my $275 was to pay for chincy dice I don't care about, un-frameable folded up posters and a bunch of e-book short stories... Makes me want to swear off Kickstarter too.

    Kickstarters and lack of communication are two things that go hand in hand way too often which is a shame considering how this seems the way companies release products nowadays.

    Posters are ramage! 100% agree!

    Thanks for sharing. That stinks it’s so inconsistent with the shipping for everybody.

      My pleasure JT! It's really unfortunate and just all around bad management or just lack of management, which is pretty inexcusable for a project of this size IMO.

      @@DungeonBrushBabbles I understand companies need to make money, but you don’t have to exploit people with “S&H” fees. I can understand if the box weighted 50 lbs, but I can’t imagine that’s the case.

    • @wolfgangbrooks

      @@jt4185 You gotta remember they have to have a fulfillment company help them with picking, checking, and packing. And as a vendor ourselves, shipping is getting ridiculous everywhere.

    I for one am pretty happy with my haul, but I just got the battalion level and shipping was good for me.

    Shipping fucked everyone. Still waiting for mine and haven't heard nothing. You can think the community/marketing manager, Rem for that. I have over a grand in the KS. My other issue is the fact that retailers will have the product before mine even ships.

    • @DungeonBrushBabbles
      @DungeonBrushBabbles  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Agreed about the shipping. I know nothing of their community manager though, other then there ain't nobody over there really doing their job based on the current situation.

    I agree with you brother, I will wait to get my shit in the shop and companies fuck ya in the shipping. I don't do kickstarters just because I don't trust folks with my money up front. I'll support 'em when it hits the web store or local shop. You got some painting to do!

    • @DungeonBrushBabbles
      @DungeonBrushBabbles  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I have backed and completed a bunch of various KS thru the years... however now I feel like companies abuse them, they ain't creating stuff with your funds (alot of that is done already) they just figuring out how much extra product to make or robbing Peter to pay Paul to make payroll etc. Sad state of affairs.
      The brushes have been humming as of late and show no sign of stopping! 😉🤞

      @@DungeonBrushBabbles Yeah, it seems like they do kickstarters to finish the last one up and then do another to finish that one up. That shit is gonna go South eventually and then you got 2 jobs going tits up. Bad, bad business.

    got my stuff...love it all!! even all the fan stuff!! 😊 i cherish it and will not have plans to sell later for like 10x the price. only a minor complaint about one item. but its fixable.
    & i love all ur bt videos too but..
    yeah ppl like complaining about this...like politics..it gets tiring. unless ppl want to get involved, i say get involved offer ur free time and effort...then try complaining.
    it was a blast doing the kick, my first ever, and it took some time. but it came. i feel for the overseas ppl but they are overseas..i understand the frustration of cost but shipping? this stuff is global..going from place to place to place to places..of course its gonna take time!
    id also agree that waiting for stores to have is a good option. but buying everything separately from who knows where, then try adding up thr shipping and tax costs and whatnot..and not everyone has a local store near them to purchase from anyways.
    i think they should b allowed the minute they get it. someone suggested only the butthurt ppl would b offended.
    overall..while qml and cgl are pretty small companies..this could've been smoother..but the suggestions u make dig DEEP into company coffers! more than u think. i would think they need to expand anyways but that takes time as well..
    anyways..looking forward to more videos of u doing the minis!😉✌

    at least you got yours. I'm still waiting on my Leviathans stuff from Catalyst, been 3 years or so.

      See that right there is a kick in the nuts. I'm very sad to hear that. I have the OG Leviathans stuff I got at Gencon @15 years ago. Such a great IP/concept in poor hands. After that experience I was always hesitant and a tad wary of their control of Battletech and frankly them as an entire company.

    It's all plastic, none of the CGL minis are resin. So you really shouldn't need to worry about release agents or anything like that.

    • @DungeonBrushBabbles
      @DungeonBrushBabbles  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Key word there is "shouldn't".😉 I have painted about 100 catalyst mechs, from my experience if you don't give em a quick warm water soap bath the results are subpar. I'm not sure if it's the plastic itself or an actual release agent, chemistry ain't my strong suit. But, I tend to think it's more release agent as some CGL minis feel a tad oily straight out the box.
      Side note, your Avatar with the nod to the OG ceiling cat is aces.
