Better technique on mixing the 50/50 resin is to pour both bottles at the same time from opposite sides of the cup, you will have two hemispheres that will meet in the middle. Question, why not use an elastomeric epoxy like West System G-Flex? Yes, it will take longer to set, but will conform to the shape, saving time down the road in not needing to shape it
