Upon Further research that’s not an image of Thomas Sheraton. Photography wasn’t invented until after his death. So please forgive my bad information.

What a great lesson on Sheraton. Loved the examples you pulled up to pinpoint the characteristics of his furniture. You have a wonderful video presence. Looking forward to more!

Thank you for this insightful video. I’m researching a table of my grandmothers and I can now rule out Sheraton. Hepplewhite is a strong contender. I’ve enjoyed all your videos and appreciate the time it takes to create. Thanks again!

Oh, David, another great video! I loved learning about Sheraton - one of my favorite classes in college was The History of Furniture. Wish I remembered more, but your video was a great reminder. Also, your shop looks gorgeous!

I thoroughly enjoy your videos as well as your social media presence. I wish I'd known of you and your shop when we lived in DC and were furnishing our home on Capitol Hill. We're now located in Tennessee. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us all.

Wow, thank you! I am from Nashville originally and will likely relocate to that area in the next few years. I should be at the next Nashville Antique & Garden show. I hope we cross paths.

FYI, the first photo was taken in 1826 so this can't be a photo of Sheraton as he died in 1806

Blunder: The photo of Thomas Sheraton you showed was certainly not him as photography was not invented until more than 30 years after his death. What you showed was a photo of someone named John Thomas Sheraton from generations later and was excerpted from a photo of him with his daughters. One site identified him as a sea captain.

Even this was not an image of George Hepplewhite. This was a painted portrait of the famous scotish architect Robert Adam. Please do better research.
