I also have the Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 (but with manual choke, and no hours run meter like yours has) and have learned a great deal from watching your channel. Getting vibration when blades are engaged, so I'm guessing the blades are out of balance (came on the mower and have maybe 3 hours cutting time; factory edge is like a butter knife). I noticed when you replaced the blades you didn't sharpen or balance them. Are you getting any vibration from the new blades? I just ordered the torque wrench you linked in the video and it should be here next weekend, along with a Dewalt 15/16" socket (Amazon didn't have the Husky brand you use). As an aside, don't feel bad about running over a pry bar you didn't see. I accidently ran over a water meter cover with the Husqvarna I used to have and bent one of the blades at a 90 degree downward angle midway length of the blade. Stopped the mower dead in its tracks. Replaced all 3 while I was at it, and fortunately didn't warp the shaft.
Oh, wow! That's a serious impact to bend a blade 90 degrees. Glad it didn't cause more damage. I heard the brand new ones are coming without the hour meter. That's a disappointing shortcut if you ask me by the company. But I didn't know the choke was different on the new ones. I am not getting any vibration from new blades, but I will check sharpness in a month or so. Going to be posting a video about sharpening in the next few days!
I have the same model as you do, my tractor barely has 7 hrs, last time I was mowing, it suddenly stopped working, the engine didn’t want to start, then I noticed my fuel tank was totally empty, it drained into the oil, I took it to a shop for repair, hopefully it is not a big issue and if so I hope warranty covers it, I’m not happy at all
I wouldn't be happy either! That should definitely be under warranty. Should have came with a 3-year warranty. Hopefully you purchased at a dealer. Will be much easier process.
@@russb959 I can’t remember, I was mowing for about 20 minutes, turned off for not even 5 minutes for a water break, when I tried to start it again, the engine didn’t go all the way, I tried about 3 times and then let it rest, that’s when I found out about the fuel going into the oil, and yes after doing some research it seems like the issue is just what you just said, hopefully not an expensive fix
I really prefer taking my deck off so I can inspect belts and pulleys and grease if need be Have to say at least your mowers is clean . Some I have seen on youtube look terrible . they work as hard as your car or truck I have 2 cubs 2016 and 2022 and horrible gas garbage gas is killing mowers
Hey, Sissy. I try to keep it clean as possible. People don't realize grass has moisture on it. When you leave it sitting there, it's gonna lead to rust. I take my deck off once or twice a year to clean and do maintenance or paint.
Yeah, I have a video on removing the deck also: th-cam.com/video/WW5Ia5hhnuw/w-d-xo.html Just like to present different options. At work I have never removed a deck to replace blades. We do it too often.
These new Cub Cadet mowers are a load of crap. I have a 13 year old CC1024RD-N . I take the deck off (90seconds) and wash it each time I use it. Mower has over 600 hours on it and still looks and cuts like new. Absolutely trouble free, regular oil changes and one deck belt. Infinitely better made than this B&D crap.
Those ramps are slick. Thanks for the helpful video.
Thanks and no problem!
Thanks!
You’re welcome and thank you!!! 👊🏻👊🏻
Super helpful to have the views under the deck. Thanks flip
No problem, glad I could help.
Excellent safety video explanation. Thank you. Blessings to you.
Thank you and blessings to you as well!
Nice ramps! I need to check out your ramp video
Thank you! It's linked under the video!
Thank you man🎉

Great idea!

@@fixitFlip got 2x8 scraps from a recent deck repair and will be building this. Thx
@@Mimiclobster Perfect! Good luck with the project!
Add grease to spindle before putting nut on, prevents rust.
Good tip, thanks. Always welcome.

Did you leave the key on? Carburetor has a solenoid on it that opens and closes. It’s not a big deal.
@@fixitFlip got it from Home Depot, after doing some research seems like a simple fix…but I will know for sure in about 2 weeks

I’ve been doing that for years. I guess I should’ve made a video.
You still can! I have several on the topic.
@@fixitFlip You got it and you’re helping people save time.
@@william-fla-321 That's my goal!
wait.... why would someone take the deck off?
Well, the manual says to do it that way. So just trying to “unconfuse” people.
for YEARS, I've changed blades without having to drop the deck....................rookies.............
I never have either. But the manual says to do it that way. So just trying to help people know they don’t have to do it that way.

Those blades should have been changed long ago 🤷♂️
You mean since dinging the pry bar? Or just in general. I hadn't cut since banging the pry bar.
I don't get it man, dropping the deck takes all of about two minutes and no special tools.
