True. And not many could afford to wait like some us for the price to drop, maybe their card died and they need a new one, and considering that even the previous gen or used gpu market price being just as insane, if they can find the current gen cards, even if they are priced a bit higher, it might be a better purchase than last gen card that might be as expensive. The review could help those people make their decision.
This card is finally at a reasonable price for me in the US. As one of the only a few 6800 models on sale at around 500$ atm, your review is very much still relevent and appreciated.
Bought a XFX 6800 QICK 319 in December 22 for €450, best card I ever had and compared to my previous XfX 5700XT Thicc III, super silent and cool! Still glad I made that deal, since then I could lay back and wait for card prices to drop or something new to come.
I am one of the few lucky ones that managed to order this from PCCG over the weekend! I was unsure of how this would perform and there were no reviews out there so I took a gamble and ordered it anyway. So glad it's not a lemon. Thanks for reviewing this!
I appreciate the simple, clean, no frills, just-works-well, presentation. The only things I’d change are the branding graphics along the side; changed from the light silver to a black-on-black with a tonal or sheen shift to read against the black shroud body, AND it would be readily available, if could have it my way.
I got extremely lucky and was able to get this card on a Newegg drop a couple of weeks back. It's a really solid card, my card has a bit of coil whine, but nothing terrible. It's a hell of an upgrade from my previous RX 590, though.
I appreciate all these reviews, when the rtx 3080 tuf oc came available for long enough for me to get it, I was glad I'd already seen your review of it and knew it was a great card.

How has it been holding up for you? I got a XFX 6700 XT for $350, but I'm debating about sending it back and spending the difference to get this card instead

It is pretty much inaudible, it also has 0 fan RPM but that is more of a fan preservation feature IMO. Supposedly this card also has greatly improved fan durability vs reference fans
The 6800 Fighter seems to consume less power while having the same performance as stock. This just shows that AMD really wanted to leave all peak efficiency for the 6900XT.
The Fighter cooling solution is bulkier (longer, wider) than reference and won't fit in 2 slots. Also disappointed that they didn't use the backplate for cooling. That was a missed opportunity.
