- I apologize for the lack of updates today, sadly TH-cam decided that the best time to update was during the middle of the day in the US. Because somehow thats when the least amount of people are going to be bothered by it? Yeah, I don't understand it either.
Valley - 4:19 -= 19:24
The valley is the first level you can get a sign for, so it is a good idea to grab it. With the sign you need a minimum of 13 pictures for this level, it's pretty annoying considering there is nowhere to spam an extra 5 pictures except at the beginning, and I think it is easier to just take the 13 pictures rather then try to align them. I start out by going to the right to make it easier to get a Squirtle on land. Then I spam pester balls to get a Goldeen. After barely getting a Goldeen I get the Gyarados Magikarp to get thrown over the mountain, then get Geodude and Sandshrew. Spam a few more pester balls to get a Dratini picture, and then hit the two Geodudes to get Graveller and an off center Sandslash. Even off-center the Sandslash breaks 2k points; he's such a high scorer. I grab Mankey here because the only other decent one is at the end, and it's faster to grab this guy. I get Gyarados before Staryu, because if you wait for the first one it pretty much stops for a few seconds in front of you. I don't bother trying to get another one and wasting pictures. I then grab a bad picture of Starmie, and then make Dragonite show himself. After finishing with the pictures I set up the secret exit and start spamming more pester balls until the Mankey hits the switch.
Pointwise this was a horrible Valley run, but I finished just barely above 130k points, and I only needed to break about 125k to get the pokeflute safely. I couldn't really think of a better way to set up the menu, so this is the best way I could think of, I'm still a little slow, I was worried I messed up Goldeen.
Starmie, Staryu, Goldeen and Dratini generally are low scoring because of how difficult it is to center them and get them to face you. Sandslash was off center so I lost 2k points there, and the best Mankey for points is at the end, which I don't think is worth the tradeoff for time, since you have to get pretty close to actually get more points on it. Dragonite and Gyarados were both sub-par this run too, but they aren't a big deal considering a low score for them is 3k points.
2 or 3 updates tomorrow, I finished this run and tonight is the last night I have free until my finals are over, so if I get at least a semi-decent SS I'll post that until I can get a really good one. - เกม

for the longest time as a dumb baby child i never wanted to throw pester balls because i thought i was hurting the pokemon or would be scared they would get pissed and game over me LOL

even if you slightly miss the pokemon it'll still come out on the film at the end

VC is Virtual Console for the Wii, but all you need is a capture card. I use a Dazzle DVC 100, though easycap is another popular choice.

This is one of my favorite levels in the game. Actually pokemon snap is on of my all time favorites for the Nintendo 64 console. Seems like yesterday was 9/10 playing this when it came out. Why can't these new games capture the same level of fun the 64 and ps1 did. To this day those two are the game systems I had the most fun with at their most popular, I've been there through all of the new console hype so I don't think it's nostalgia.

It just depends on when you hit the Squirtle, just line it up and it'll work out. The biggest problem I've seen with trying to knock it down is going too early.

It seems to me you cared more about the quantity of pictures here than the quality. That's something you shouldn't do, at least once you've completed the collection for Professor Oak.
IDK why, but there's something magical about looking at comment sections before replies were a thing.
There isn't there is a Dratini auto spawn near the whirlpool, but that's just to prompt you to summon Dragonite.

Why did you add that bit at the start saying that we need the classic controller? There is only one official controller for N64 (there are different colours but they're all the same design).

I play on the VC, as far as I know all unofficial emulators don't function properly with snap.
I know you posted this comment years ago, but just thought I’d say it runs absolutely perfectly on the Wii via emulation through the Homebrew hack :)

at the start, Magikarp will be splashing around. Hit it with a Pester Ball to knock it over to Mankey, who smacks it sky-high.

There is no „fish“ faling down in my game, what should I do ?
Look at the Magikarp I spawn at 0:53 seconds, behind the Goldeen. If you spawn him, he flies off over the mountain, causing the spawn of the one at 1:56 for Gyarados.

This isn't 100%, you missed a few sweet shots such as the Squirltes jumping. Also, I beleive you can get not one but 3 Starmies, I've only managed to get 2 of the Staryu's to evolve though.

Earlier in the course, he threw a poster ball in the water & hit a magikarp. It jumped on land & a manky knocked the hell out of it. He wasnt facing it for you to see
