  • In order to get on with finishing my back yard and prep for the future shop, I had to spread some more gravel in the back to create a parking and storage area for my trailers and equipment. This allows me to get all of those items out of the back yard so I can get some sprinklers and loam in!
    Equipment Used:
    Skid Steer/CTL: 2021 Bobcat T66
    Excavator: 2021 Bobcat E26 R-Series
Dump Trailer: 2020 Big Tex LP14

I am a fan of this channel and your videos. I am finding so many I enjoy watching and listening to. Your master of the Skid steer is exceptional!

Awesome video as always. Thank you for the insides! :) How did you get started? Did you first buy those machines etc. and now slowly paying them off with the landscaping jobs? And with how many bigger machines have you started out with?

We got started with our BX23s a few yesrs ago working in my place and then I transitioned into doing work for others the end of last year. We do this work part time as we are full time software engineers. We currently own all of our equipment and hoping to get bigger machines as we continue!

That looks very good. 7 tons is a nice load of gravel, what size and gvwr dump trailer is that? I'm in the market for one now and I've been shopping around.

Its a 2020 Big Tex LP14, the GVWR is 14k with a ~10k payload. I always ask for around 5 tons at the quarry, but end up getting between 6-7. Its only a 2 mile drive from my place so its not a bad haul and it manages to dump that just fine. When I load it for jobs/longer hauls I generally keep it around 5 tons.

How much was the dump fee for that one tree?

The place I go to takes that trailer size with any amount in it for $60. Its a pretty good deal.

That's crazy how many tons was it?

Not sure, I dont have to scale wood waste, its just by the vehicle/trailer size/volume.

Good work, how is your truck after getting it back?
