Actually yes, great!! I have a Numatic George & a Henry for heavy duty hoovering & carpet shampooing. I have a cordless shark for quick, convenient cleanups. I always use the Numatics for cleaning the filters of uprights. My ex bought various uprights & they were all crap & they all need the filters hoovering regularly so a second cylinder vac is a wise move. DUH!!🤦♂️ People wonder why a tiny 3cm diameter ½kilo Shark cordless upright motor burns out & doesn't last as long as a 13cm 5kg motor in a Numatic George or Henry (25yrs+ !!) Again... DUH!!🤦♂️
Somewhat related question: How wide is the actual brushroll (the red/black striped roller) on this model? Is it the same size as the brushroll on the Shark Vertex DuoClean cordless (model IZ462)? I'm trying to find a replacement brushroll for that model, but Shark doesn't list any on their website, so I'm trying to find out if the brushroll from any other Shark models might fit, even if it's not specifically listed as fitting the IZ462H.
The Shark Vertex DuoClean Cordless (model IZ462H) features a cleaning path width of approximately 10.63 inches (27 cm). This measurement refers to the width of the cleaning head, which houses the brushroll. However, the exact dimensions of the brushroll itself are not specified in the available sources. Regarding replacement parts, Shark's official website does not list a specific replacement brushroll for the IZ462H model. It's important to note that brushroll sizes and designs can vary between different models, even within the same brand. Using a brushroll not specifically designed for your vacuum model may lead to compatibility issues or suboptimal performance. For the most accurate and safe replacement options, I recommend contacting Shark's customer support directly. They can provide guidance on compatible replacement parts for your specific model. Alternatively, authorized Shark dealers or service centers may have access to the appropriate replacement brushrolls for the IZ462H.
@@AutoGleamTruths thanks for the detailed reply. I actually did contact Shark customer support before posting my comment. The person I spoke to said what you did: that there's no specific separate brushroll for the IZ462H. They do offer the whole DuoClean head for that model, but it costs more than $90, and all I need is the brushroll. I understand that brushrolls from different Shark models might be different - but I was hoping that another one might be interchangeable. Seems strange that they'd offer a separate brushroll for almost all of their other models but not the IZ462H. I'm hoping it was just an oversight. Will keep looking ...
Have you got a video on how to clean my 1000w vacuum? Not sure if I need to go grab a 2000w vacuum, move it back into the shark or just bin it and buy another.
@josephmitchell266 this is what I think 🤔 Once upon a time, I found myself pacing the aisles of John Lewis in Bristol, pondering the rows of vacuum cleaners lined up like identical soldiers. I’d been on a mission to find something-anything-that might shake up the world of home cleaning. But as I inspected each shiny new model, something became crystal clear: these vacuums all looked, felt, and, from what I could tell, worked almost exactly the same. "How could they all be so similar?" I thought, running my fingers over the all-too-familiar plastic casings. Every brand, every model, felt like a copy of the last, with just enough tweaks to call itself new. Battery-operated or electric, they all promised the same thing, yet none seemed to stand out. And the prices! Each one seemed to add a little sting to the realization that I wasn’t seeing much difference for all those extra pounds. Manufacturers seemed to have settled into a rhythm of sameness, replicating the same core design again and again. The irony was, back home, I still had my old-school vacuum cleaner. It might be bulky, maybe even a little clunky, but it did its job, especially when I needed it to pick up the bits and pieces my Shark cordless missed. And as I chuckled, it hit me: maybe I should make a video about this vacuum déjà vu. Maybe others had been wandering around stores, wondering why these high-tech-looking machines all seemed to be more flash than substance. With a smirk, I headed out of the store, my mind spinning with ideas for the video. Sometimes, I thought, the old ways might just be the best. Laters!
I didn't detach the hoover bit from the dust bit and cleaned the dust area with a bit of water. It's not not working im guessing water damage is there anything I can do to save it (I've only had it for a week)
Firstly, before using water on or inside the Shark, you needed to remove the dust from the Shark parts, the main motor area should never have water on it, Unfortunately, water damage can be challenging to reverse. Try turning off the vacuum, removing the parts, and letting them air-dry completely. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer or the store where you purchased it for advice or a possible warranty claim. Avoid using the vacuum until it's thoroughly dry to prevent further damage. Hopefully this will help you 😀 laters Steve
I have washed mine out, but it seems to get dirty again faster, so basely just doing it dry is better. Be warned when washing with hot water. It can affect the plastic, as the parts are not designed to be washed 😀 if you see mine. Currently, I put it onto the cupboard out of site 🤣🤣
@@BalKaur-d6o If your vacuum cleaner has weak suction, there could be several reasons causing the issue. Here's a list of common problems and solutions to help you troubleshoot: 1. Check the Dust Bag/Canister Problem: The bag or canister might be full, restricting airflow. Solution: Empty the canister or replace the vacuum bag. 2. Blocked or Dirty Filters Problem: Over time, filters get clogged with dust and dirt, reducing suction power. Solution: Clean or replace the filters, depending on the vacuum's model. Many vacuums have HEPA filters or foam filters that need periodic maintenance. 3. Clogged Hose or Attachments Problem: Hoses, brushes, or the vacuum head might have blockages. Solution: Detach and check the hose and attachments for any debris. Use a broomstick or a long, flexible rod to clear any blockages. 4. Dirty Brush Roll Problem: The roller brush can get tangled with hair, threads, and debris, making it less effective. Solution: Clean the roller brush, removing any hair or objects wrapped around it. Some vacuums have detachable brushes for easier cleaning. 5. Suction Settings Problem: Some vacuums have adjustable suction settings, which might be set too low. Solution: Check the suction dial and make sure it's set to the appropriate level for your cleaning needs. 6. Damaged Hose or Seals Problem: A tear in the hose or worn-out seals can cause air leaks, reducing suction. Solution: Inspect the hose for any visible holes or cracks. If the hose is damaged, it may need replacement. 7. Motor Issues Problem: If all else fails, the motor could be the issue, either due to overheating, wear, or other mechanical problems. Solution: Check if the vacuum is overheating or making strange noises. If so, it might require professional repair or replacement. After addressing each of these potential issues, your vacuum should regain its normal suction power. If not, you might need to consult a technician or consider replacing the unit.
@joseborja6036 if you followed everything in the video, then you can try to get it into 2 parts 😉 but unless you know what you are doing, then don't, I have been looking at a video that the man broke up the vacuum cleaner just to see how it works 😉
To be fair the anti wrap brush did not show any hair it looked more like fabric wrapped around. You should see mine which doesn't have that anti wrap. I can only get through the amount of hair with a pair os scissors
