Gotta recommend MS Paints. He does great painting content and tons of other hobby vids. Plus he has wonderful cinematography

Yeah. mS paints is great
I prefer hobby vids which are straight to the point and packed with usefulness, where hobby is put way above meme-y (often eyeroll-inducing), algorithm-pleasing content. My go-tos are Sorastro, Doctor Faust, Kujo, Marco Frisoni and Swords and Brushes. SaB, Marco and Kujo have the perfect balance of painting and jokes while the others focus purely on being true vaults of skill and guidance :)
Aye I love Marco’s videos but they can be difficult to follow for beginners, and I left Kujo out because he hasn’t posted in a while now, Sorastro has an amazing reputation but I don’t watch his videos, so felt it was a bit disingenuous to add it to my list. Sergio, Roman and Marco are my go to pro videos
Sorastro is amazing, but fun is good too.
This is exactly why I unsubscribed and stopped watching Squidmar. Their videos are so little content vs memes and sponsorships. I don’t mind sponsorships at all, but the bad clickbait, memes, and overwhelming gw focus drove me away
@@03dashk64 interesting, I have really enjoyed his larger scale stuff recently, I get the click bait comments but his Henry Cavill series has been his most popular recently I think. Either way, I am glad you watched my video, thanks for getting involved in the conversation
@@03dashk64 Well said, I'd add that it's following the algorithm with bait and similar stuff that made his channel boom (basically, YT showing his vids to more people even outside of the hobby) and not the content's quality. Please mind that I mean everything from the hobby perspective, I'm not judging the production quality etc.

Trovarion / Flying Raven Studios / GRG Miniatures / Juan Hidalgo / Monument Slowfuse are some others I really enjoy watching.

Night Shift would be my recommendation for minature painting, he specializes in historical tanks so flys under the warhammer radar. Well worth a watch imho. Hope to see someone else make this style vid with rising ape minis as a recommendation in the future 😉

Amazing list, little surprised not to seen Angel Giraldez on there, his channel and tutorials got me back into the hobby.
Yeh, lots of folks enjoy his content, I find it quite hard to follow tbh. But for sure he is crazy talented
Great video I have expected a joke in the beginning where you cut the video short after saying "Your time is precious, aaaand so is mine thanks for watching" -cut to black- lol these suggestions were great :) again can't stress how much I enjoy how great your mixture of history/research and hobbying is I love learning hobby things but also I'm a fan of gaining information that at the time seems random because it's always fun to refrence later :)

Dana Howl is a good channel for colour work, also Sonic Sledgehammer is a great resource if you need to speed paint anything.

I think Ninjon is "better" than Miniac.
They are both really different creators, I think Jon is more focused on growth than Miniac, but I have followed Scott for years so there is room for both.
@@RisingApe I wasn't implying one or the other. Jon just presents in a way that meshes with my brain better. I listen to their podcast regularly.

I'm still pissed about how miniac disrespected the Horus heresy community in his "apology" .jpg It's fine that it isn't your scene, but coming to the UK to leak and disrespect the scene which hasn't had a solid release for years was hugely selfish and ignorant.
Interesting, I didn’t read it like that it felt more like a genuine mistake to me. I am loving the Heresy releases though, I played my first Heresy game just last week, really enjoyed it.
I'd like to add @RobPaintsModels who sadly passed away last year. His brilliant painting videos are still online though and always deserve a pointer. After almost twenty years of painting minis I thought I had somewhat leveled out at some point, but finding his videos a few years ago and seeing his techniques really gave my own painting another boost.
