Just ordered my Benny Brass. It’s my first brass snare ever. Thanks for this great video. Your enthusiasm definitely pushed me towards buying this snare. Wise move by Sonor to endorse you;)
I just discovered your channel and immediately subscribe: i love your touch and sound. This is what i’m aiming at so it keeps me motivated! And happy birthday, very late so merry Christmas 😅
Loved every second of this vid! You’re quite a comedian besides being a terrific drummer! The snare drum is a killer! Good job on the tuning tutorial as well. I’m torn between your beechwood and your new brass baby 🤷♂️. Both are excellent sounding instruments.
Thanks, Ronnie! I love both so much, but if I had to choose only one - it'd be the beechwood snare. Partly because, in the end, I prefer wood shells. But also - it sounds so good in all different tunings!
Sir, what kind of drums are they other than the snare? Also, they sound MAGNIFICENT!!!! Your cymbals also sound great. What kind are they? And your snare is indeed beautiful! Congrats!!!!
Hey CJ can you tell me if there are tonality differences between the first generation Benny Grebe beech vs the second generation? Is the muffling system and tear lugs the only difference? Thx Ron.
Hey Ron! I haven’t tried the new beechwood snare, only the brass (and of course my mk1 beechwood snare) From what I’ve heard - the tonality and pitch-versatility is still there 💪🔥
That snare sounds sweet!!!

@@ThatSwedishDrummer I agree both are great but I’d lean towards the beechwood. I’m 65 yrs old and learn something new from you in each video!!

And your snare is indeed beautiful! Congrats!!!!
It's a Pearl Reference Series kit, and the cymbals in this video are a mix of Sabian, Ufip and Paiste.
Thank you so much!

Lucky man indeed but well deserved 👍I’ve been thinking about one myself but they cost around $1400 -$1500 in Australia and that’s a chunk of change
It is! (But if you save up - it’s sooooo worth it)
It’s worth 10 awesome snare drums
I turn 30 next year
Semangat terus
FOUND IT.
Also I don't believe you were 30...were.. 🥳
Wich note do you tune your toms and snare???? Please dont say -"tune your drum kit in the way that you like-"
I like your sound of your drum kit
Thanks!
I don’t tune my drums to a specific pitch. I tune until I’m happy with the sound.
Bottom head a bit tighter than batter head.
