    Great watching Travis sling metal. He's fantastic teacher. His paper on voltage/amperage settings for the Lincoln SA rig welder machines has helped me dial in my 200 Blackface and make a lot of money. Great guy.

    Can't believe you guys dont use in / out slope on your start stops on exotics
    Most welds procedures in Europe insist on it. We have been full tig out for many years now also when possible we use orbital machines

    after the root was done, it is not necessary to keep the internal purge ? Or u all keep the purge for at least some welding passes ?

    • @paulkurilecz4209
      @paulkurilecz4209 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, the internal purge needs to be maintained as the material may steel oxidize.

      Just depends on what the result needs to be. Depending on what you're doing, if you use stainless as an example, it will never sugar unless you melt through to the inside. It can get as hot as it wants in open air, it'll turn black even, but it will never sugar. If a black finish is a deal breaker, then you'll continue purging. If you cannot control yourself and seriously risk re-penetrating on your fill/cover passes, then you'll definitely continue purging.

      Should keep it on till got a fill pass on or two minimum
