I’m still debating whether to go with narrative or descriptive. i’m good at narrative but i prolly won’t finish the story, with descriptive that won’t be a problem but i’m not as confident writing it. i’m stuck 😭😭
To be honest I didn’t know anything about structures or the way English exam papers are set out but now I do and I will be able to use these skills to write my exams thank you sirrrr🙌🏽
I would see how it goes on the day; either spend more time on the questions you feel you needed and could have written more on or write in the same time as everyone else then add more onto each question (those that need it) in your extra time at the end. I'm sitting mine tomorrow too! Good luck!! (we're going to smash it!)
@ HII! Thank you for reminding me about this. It was amazing! I loved English Literature paper 1. It was fun writing my Macbeth and A Christmas Carol essays. I got a grade 8 in both English Literature and English Language; Mr Bruff helped so much, as well as watching First Rate Tutors, listening to advice from my teachers, etc. My prayers were answered & now I’m in sixth form thank u for askingg
It's a top level piece, but it's important to remember that there is no such thing as a 'grade 9 answer' because a grade is awarded when you put all of the marks from the papers together. One single question cannot achieve a grade 9 on its own.
Hi, I have a 34 mark assessment on Lord of the Flies on Friday and I am really struggling on what to write and how to get a grade 9. Pls tell me or anyone some ideas and quotes i could use. The questions, "How does Jack change throughout Lord of the Flies"
It's finally time...good luck everyone tomorrow I'll see you all on the other side

@@Ross-Thurgood yess I’ve messed up lit I wrote about wrong person (I’m dyslexic) but language I’m pretty sure I’m ok
the problem with creative writing is that sometime you focus too much on the story that you forgot about good quality structure
your actually the GOAT
you're* cooked
Could please explain how a cyclical structure actually works cus im a bit unsure thanks
In this case it’s how the story starts and ends in the same way.

I have 25% extra time, should I add that on to each question or spend longer on a certain question or something else?
same i always struggle on figuring out timings
