Hi. I would suggest doing the life in the uk 6-4 months before the application is due so that if for any reason you don’t pass first time, you have a few months to try again. You need to prepare for the ILR by collecting 2.5 years of letters, 6 months of banks statements and wage slips but everything else you want the most recent one of so ideally within 28 days of application.
Hi, yes we did for the FLR and ILR as it was all digital. The first time round, we had to post the documents. I didn't bother because the file would have been huge so I just did bio page, plus any visa and stamped pages and it was still approved.
Hi, the uploading process has changed a little. Instead of categories, it tells you exactly what it wants you to upload and then there is an others section. I would provide a rental agreement in others if they don’t ask for it elsewhere and then evidence of bills as well

I remember the first spouse visa(before pandemic) I got lots of bank stamps but then for the visa extension- I used simple downloaded online bank statements(in 2022 during covid)

Great helpful video. My question is our gas and electricity bills come together in a same paperwork which we have both of our names on the bills. Is that bill will be considered two separate bills like gas bill and electricity bill? Or it will be considered one bill only as it’s coming out on a same paperwork? Please suggest me. If it is joint bill I wouldn’t consider it for separate bills. On my last application I didn’t have enough joint letters, so I also provided 6 months of separate bills .
Hi, the gas and electricity bill being on one paperwork will be considered as one bill. But as it is in joint names it will count as one bill for you and one bill for your partner.
Hi, yes. The Life in the UK test is something you will need to pass for the ILR. You will receive a reference number via email when you have passed the test and they ask you to provide that number not he online application. hi rukhsana, can i use bank statements as the letters addressed to me? i dont keep alot of mail unfortunately because i hate paper clutter haha. but i can obviously print my bank statments from last 2.5 years thanks
Hi, haha tell me about it, I hate the clutter too!! But yes bank statements are acceptable as proof of address. Please make sure to keep your most recent ones separately as it is much easier for UKVI.

Hi, yes I did. I put them under the residence documents. I made a video on each of the sections and what I put in them. A video on how I uploaded/what I uploaded the documents will be up by the weekend

Biometric taken : 10 January 2024 at 11am and got email said my application successful 2 hrs later at 14.00pm.. Got BRP. at 12 January 2024.. Little bit tips for super priority slot. In the winter try to refresh the payment page at 12am.. In the summer or BST tried look at 1am.....
That should be ok its not a problem, you eligible to apply now if you been in the uk for 5 years with the same visa route.. Absence for holiday is not a problem as long you write it in the visa form
Hi, check the documents that came with the house (maybe with the solicitor documents). If not, you can fill out an OC1 form online and get the deeds from the council.
I will be showing you how we uploaded our documents onto the ukvcas website in a later video but to get them onto the computer you can either take photos of the documents (jpg/jpeg or png) or you can scan them in using a scanning app or a scanner.

Aww thank you so much. We’ve heard back now, it was a successful application ☺️. He went for his biometrics appointment on 10th August and we got our approval email 8 weeks and 4 days later but it’s different for everyone. It does say it can take up to 6 months. Other have heard back within days.
Did they penalise you because the property was just in your name and not in both names. As only I own the property and not my husband due to his visa status.

Hi, yes it can be enough as long a you provide them from 2021, 2022 and 2023. Just remember there needs to be a total of 6 so you might have to double up on a couple of them so like council tax form 2022 and 2023 if you know what I mean. Until you have 6 in total over the period
Hey ruks. I'm back again lol. Need some guidance. 😢😢 My wife recieved an email from kuwait about her spouse visa on 4th March 2019. On my wife passport. Their a stamp for UK entry clearance mentioned visa is valid from 6th March 2019. My wife came to UK on 30th March 2019 On my wife biometric card it's showing place and date of issue 27/2/2019 until 6/12/2021 My wife FLR Was issued on 4th December 2021 until 2nd July 2024. My question is when can I apply for my wife ILR as my wife is on a 5 years spouse visa and the Home office issued her 5 years and 3 month visa which I'm ot understanding. I have calculated the months and the 1st biometric was issued for 2 years and 9 months and 2nd biometric card which is issued for 2 years and 6 month. Can anyone please guide me on what I should do next.
Hi, yes that's right, the always give more on the visas so technically you can apply when she has been on the FLR for 30 months as she will have been in the country for 5 years. But I always say 28 days before expiry just to be in the safe side which is actually 33 months.

I’d provide a letter from the relative to say that you are living with them rent and bills free until you find somewhere suitable for you

5 years mark since you arrived in the uk with the same visa route

You get 180 days allowance as long as you not spend more than thant it's fine

We dont have any letters that we kept in the last 3 years … is this okay? Also because everything is paperless
Are you able to get the paperless copies online? You can download them as PDF copies and upload them directly onto UKVCAS.
